Woah, I saw the news story and looked into it. Its Saint Charles Labs that does testing for multiple companies, now I would prefer they test on rats/mice but at that point its just animal preference. Brazil apparently specifies test animals and they have to test for a year. I don't like the idea of animal testing but I realize why they are doing it: because human lives matter. In order to get an accurate assessment of how safe something is for humans you have to test it on a live population. I believe that every
company should have to do these test to ensure that it is safe for people. I have a dog and he is a great dog, but I also have kids, and I wouldn't jeopardize my kids health because I wouldn't test something on my dog.

While Dow has had their problems in the past, all the low posts seem to forget that things need to be tested on living animals, I would rather they test it on "lab" class animals (rats and mice) than on "pet" class animals (dogs and cats) but all chemical companies do this to see if they are safe for humans. I suppose they could ask for the writers of poor reviews to come in and be test subjects, and I'm sure they would jump at the chance to save a cat or dog at their own expense. Animal testing has existed for as long as humans have been around. I wonder if these people actually did give up their chemical products that they were threatening to a year ago.
