Dough Bro Review

The food is decent, but I can't bring myself to give more than two stars. Last time I was there, they were cleaning a dusty ventilation panel right where food is made/handled (see picture).

Outstanding service and good quality. The Italian sandwich is one of the best I've ever had. Brian does a good job making a new guy feel like a local. Excellent experience all the way around.

Pizza was okay... Nothing that would blow your socks off...

Owned and operated by a rad dude who cooks great food. Discovered my favorite beer here, too.

The best Alfredo Pasta I had in Dallas. Surprisingly, it's not heavy at all!
Not to forget, it's all made in-house. I am definitely coming back to this place with all my friends

I hang around here all the time and love the pizzas and daily special dishes.

Ordered a calzone. Took 40 mins to arrive which was normal. Driver tried to charge me $18 instead of $13 which I believe was an honest mistake since the receipt was hard to read. Once everything was squared away i opened the calzone and it was very tiny and cut in 2 pieces.

Great pizza... okay service. We'll be back though. Would love to explore other options on the menu

Just went in for dessert to go. NEVER do that. 9+ dollars per, and teensy tiny portions of mostly ganache (chocolate torte) and stale tiramisu with a layer of butter (marscapone cream?) in the middle. Yikes. But people were nice. I just had gotten home before I saw what I had bought or I would have returned it up front.

absolutely amazing calzones!! Very quick too! Took less than 10 minutes to order and get the food! Bummed that I just now found out about this place- but excited to visit many more times!

Wow. How disappointing. Super thin pizza that is no different in quality from frozen pizza. Literally nothing to it. No substance, no crust, nothing. Awful.

I honestly never leave reviews unless a place is absolutely amazing. But this pizza was so horrendous I had no choice. I feel bad. I don t want to hurt any business, but what in the world are you guys thinking with this?

Crust is extremely thin and flavorless, barely any toppings, it was absolutely one of the worst pizzas I ve ever had in my life. I would have preferred a Digiorno. By miles. Absolutely a joke they charge what they charge for that. Wow. Just unbelievable.

It was a Thursday and I was told, 30 minutes before close, that it was only to go. What added fuel to the spark was the "cook" had the nerve to make his insensible side comments while I waited for my order. NEVER THE HELL AGAIN!

This spot knows how to take care of their clients. Constantly with a very nice approach. The food is reasonably priced, regularly delicious and clean.

The wife and I drove past earlier in the week and decided to make Dough Bro's our date night dinner on Friday.

The parking lot was full on all sides, probably form Liberty Burger and the overrun from Don Julio's across the lot. We ended up parking next to the gas station / C-store. But enough of that - onto our dining experience.

Overall, no major complaints: the service was quite attentive, so there's two stars for that. We started with the artichoke - kale dip which was about what one could expect as far as taste. I would offer two suggestions for technique improvement. Toast the pizza dough points crisp so you can actually use them to dip. And chop up the kale a little finer. Large chunks of the stuff come out at once leaving very little to go around.

Our entree was the Carbonara Pizza. Although the taste was excellent, we had expected more generousity on the toppings. They were so sparse that the cheese completely hid them. As well the paper thin crust was unable to hold up a slice without drooping. Again, these are technique issues. Maybe a hotter, faster cook time would crisp up the crust?

One other thing I cannot find an issue with is price. We had four alchoholic drinks between us: two white wines and two craft beers. Plus an app and a pizza. and it came to under $40! Definately worth the hefty tip we left. But will we return? We both agreed we could find better pizza closer to where we live, so maybe not.

Excellent place!! Need to try the pizza and baked ziti! Waitstaff were awesome and welcome all with open arms.

This is the best pizza shop in the state of Texas period. I might argue top 2 or 3 in the nation. They are that good! You have to go by there. The atmosphere is nice, beer selection is solid but the pizza and canolis are the best around!

There's nothing horrible about this place but there's also nothing significant to bring me back. Service and prices were good but the pizza was paper thin, the flavor was ok, and the toppings were scarce. The marinara sauce on the pasta was barely edible. It tasted like it came straight from the can. I gave this place 3 stars because honestly it was our first time visiting, we have not tried anything else on the menu, and like I said the service was good, and the prices were decent But the marinara sauce was Bad enough that I won't be going back. If an Italian restaurant cant have decent marinara and the pizza is only mediocre then, For Me, there's nothing left to expect from the rest of the menu.

Pizza came in 5-8 mins after i ordered. I took my friend to eat there wih me. Guess what? the bill was just $13 and we ordered 2 pizzas and a drink.

This restaurant is great! I love their pizza fries and the atmosphere is super cute! The only negative I have is that the chairs are super uncomfortable!

UPDATE: (THE PIZZA CAME OUT) THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT EVER.

I had a Florentine calzone, which was the first calzone I ever had, so it was great but I can't compare it to anything. My friends had the Bro pizza and were kinda nonplussed. Lunch time on a rainy weekday was empty, only us as customers for a while. Good service, good food, good enough.

One word; AMAZING. Even the salads are immaculate. Great selection of pizzas and the staff is superb.

I visited this place a few years ago and I forgot why I hadn't been back. Recently I decided to give it another try in an attempt to support local businesses during this time. The pizza is just okay - nothing special or memorable.

When I walked in the pick up my order NO ONE (except for the hostess) was wearing a mask - this includes the cooks, bartender and multiple guests at the bar - and there was NO social distancing being maintained. They all looked at me like I was crazy for wearing a mask and gloves. For this reason I will not return or recommend this place.

The staff here are friendly and are very interested in making sure you come back! If you're in North Dallas / Addison looking for a good calzone, this is the place for sure. One of my favorite local pizza places.

Good food and great selection of draft and bottled beers, very friendly service all around

We arrived at this place for a meeting. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. we were warmly welcomed by the crew and we felt very good. The meal was tasty. We enjoyed every moment and we will definitely return to this restaurant. we highly recommend this place.

The cheese and the dough is on point. Will be back for more.

Pizza sauce was to sweet and the pineapples tasted like they were old.

If I wanted a cheese pizza I would have ordered it. Hardly any add on toppings. And no marina sauce either.

The wild nettle pizza was delicious. They precook the bacon to prevent sogpie, which I really appreciate. The dough is good, not perfect, but the toppings really make their pizzas shine. Well worth the stop.

Poor service, order a pizza that it was supposed to be brought to my car, never happened when I when in to get my order she already knew my name, so meaning she saw my car outside but was too busy to bring it out.. completely dissatisfied, never to go back.. cold pizza by the way.. thank you..

Gluten-Free Pizza is OK. They use a sweet potato base crust which was my first time trying.

This is a great local joint with some amazing dishes. Their pizza is always delicious- and my son and I argue constantly over which of their awesome appetizers to get. I'm a fan of the garlic knots, he likes their pizza fries. Calzones are amazing (in the dough) and I plan on trying a pasta soon!

The Bro pizza is amazing and highly recommended. Its loaded with meat and is super flavorful. I've been here to Dough Bros more times than I can count and every time the Bro never fails. It's thin crust, which may be a turn off for some but I recommend you try it at least once.

Excellent homemade pizzas, and they were even kind enough to give us an extra pizza for free because they accidentally left off a topping!

Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for pizza with more of a hand made, fresh flavor.

They run out of wings all the time and they doesn t serve a variety of beers.

They don t have XX is a classic not even bottled.
I used to spend my dollars over there but I m getting disappointed.

I used to love Dough Bros for lunch. I'd crave it. I stopped in last week after a hiatus and was greeted by a hostess. What?! This isn't the Dough Bros I'd grown to love.
The food tastes the same, but I preferred the casual atmosphere much more. It also took quite a bit longer for me to get my pizza (not because they had a lot of guests). If I'm going to get waited on to eat a pizza, there's better places for that.

I ordered pizza and wings, the pizza was very small, i didn't know it would be toddler size lol, but still good, nothing spectacular but good, the wings were giant , i actually prefer smaller wings so i ended up trashing them after a couple, all & all i do recommend them just don't expect anything life changing

Nice build your own pizza bar. They cook it after you design it. Good beer prices , quick service and almost always friendly staff. Plenty of options for done in, carry out, or delivery.

This place is a fixture in my weekly menu. I recommend the pizza which is made with a thin crust and great tomato sauce. The panko crusted chicken sandwich is delicious, and I recommend it on their italian bread. And don't forget the wings...the best.

Best place to get classic homemade pasta and pizza. They have the BEST gluten free pizza crust in Dallas. It's made from scratch and taste amazing! They have the most reasonable prices. So glad I found this gem

I ll give them the second star because they were pleasant and friendly but the food was bad. I ordered the 16 pizza with ham and bacon. The crust was about 3 mm thin and you couldn t of put less toppings on!! The pizza was so thin it cracked when you folded it. I also ordered an order of garlic knots that were ok but they give you a tiny cup of sauce for the order. They were ok but at the size of a quarter, there was no need for only about 12 of them for the 6.00 they charged for them. The pizza and the dough balls cost $24.00. Not worth I m afraid to say!

We all just got over food poisoning from our take out on November 28th. Worst thing ever. We got sick from the supreme pizza. Will never eat here again.
