What a great place to grow in the light of knowledge! Staff that can't be matched in regards to their assistance and abilities. They have great events to participate in throughout the year as well. Well recommended for all locals and visitors.

I love the library and go at least once a week. Last week I was two days late returning a book. When I returned to the library to pay my 20 cent fine I did not have my library card with me. I gave the girl my name she asked for my birth date to verify which I gave her. She then wanted my address which I gave her she then asked for my phone number. I just wanted to pay her money. A bit excessive. Why. What if I wanted to pay the fine for a friend. I was trying to GIVE you money . .

I am amazed at how awesome this country library is. They had built this place to be classy, elegant and to last for 100 yrs. Beautiful artwork adorn the walls. The library is surrounded by ou ak trees. A bike rack that spells the word 'BOOKS' is in front of the cafe. There is a bee garden out by the book return. Sliding glass doors welcome you to a decorative tile floor and wood walls with lighted chandeliers over head. Restroom is immediately to your left. On the right is a display case where they often have silent auctions to raise library funds. I enjoyed the mini quilter's Museum at the entrance. The top main floor is the adult / reference section. There is a cafe , a fire place and a piano for live performances. There is an outside balcony with table and chairs. There are study rooms, beautifully built with windowed doors and rich red wood. They have a genealogy room and a special cabinet housing volumns of ancient books.

The childrens library is down stairs accessible by both stair and elevator. The elevator has a windowed back and my child was delighted with his elevator journey down. The childrens section has 2 brass children reading on a bench with a grand oak tree commanding the center of the room. The children's area is enchanting. They also have an outside pattio with an umbrella, table and chairs for enjoying a good book and the weather of this area. They have a kitchen, multipurpose room, twe en center and a teen center which has their own separate pattio. A fantastic manga collection and weekly teen activities. There are lots of board games too. I love the 'Guess the candy in the jar' game.

Out of town visitors are welcomed. A yearly card fee is $30 for out of towners.

The school drops students off here after school about 3:30pm.

Guest lecturers give their presentations in front of the fireplace upstairs.

The restrooms are very modern with natural brown stone tile, motion activated sinks and towel dispensers. Loved it.

The staff is friendly and helpful. I will come here often.

Nice little library. Magazine section was entertaining. Big surprise, it was really quite. There were some nice paintings on the walls to set the mood. Imo all libraries should have lots of art to set the vibe for study. Would have been 5 star is there was a water feature and more art.

Just experienced a most enlightening Zoom seminar presented by Stephanie Storey. If thinking that online learning isn't as good as in person learning, then check out the opportunities presented by the Baxter County Library. Kudos for a most informative, interactive program.
