Very cordial. They took care of my road bike, cleaned it, fine-tuned it. They were done with the bike way before the time they gave me. I ll go to their shop again.

I've been there a few times looking for parts for an older bike. The shop has a lot of bikes on display, prices indicate that they have enough selection to cater to any riders wallet. I only bought a few parts and tools but comparing their prices to online prices; they were equal if not cheaper which was a surprise. Everybody was nice and I found what I was looking for each time. They didn't even bat an eye when I only bought a few 3/16" ball bearings for some pocket change.
Overall a good shop, hopefully with the new garland north-south bikeway they'll get some more ride-in business.
Bought a new road bike by special order. They delivered on time and I just got my 90 day checkup. Nice smaller shop with friendly employees.
Local shop close to my office and the mountain bike trail I frequent. Never bought a bike there but they do my tune ups my Stumpjumper. Have also bought and had installed upgrades, parts and ride computer. They can be a little crotchety but it doesn't bother me as long as they provide value and do the work how and when they say.
I was a happy customer for many, many years, but something has changed. On my last trip to the store I was charged $150 for labor to do a bike "overhaul." When I picked up the bike, the rear when had a HORRENDOUS squeak that could be easily heard from more than a block away. I was told that they read on the internet it was normal for those bikes, but they couldn't tell me where they read it when I asked.
I fixed the problem with a single squirt of WD-40 back home. But I became suspicious.
I took the bike apart and found nothing but rust and dust inside the wheel bearings, bottom bracket, and headset, all of which should have been adjusted and lubricated during the "overhaul." So I paid $150 labor to install 4 cables and was lied to by 2 employees.
I have called a few times to talk to the owner and complain, but am always told that he is busy and will call me back, which he has never done.
Theft of services is a crime, and I will no longer reward this business with my dollars or my complimentary words.
Well hidden treasure for bikers in Garland. I needed to get my tire replaced + hub adjusted and they were able to do it so quickly. Actually had one of the best bike rides afterwards! James was attentive & very kind, so very easy to work with. Definitely recommend this bike shop for repairs.
I dropped off a set of wheels to have the hubs and bearings repacked. They were ready the very next day for a reasonable price. I'm an old school BMX rider and this place seems to be right in line with what I need from a bike shop. I will definitely be back...thanks for the great service!
Love it. They are very welcome and helpful. They also accept Apple pay and Android pay.
Great shop that's been in the neighborhood as long as I can remember. It's where I got my first mountain bike in the late 80's and several others after that, all the way into my 20s, always going above and beyond expectation, even honoring a warranty for a frame off a race bike that had obviously been used mostly in the streets. I'll always remember that bc he was so reluctant but still treated a promise as a promise. When my shoulder feels better I'll definitely be over there again getting what I need to get back on 2 wheels. Don Johle's Bike World is a true gem, especially in a time that b&ms are dropping like flies.
Called and asked for a specific tire i was looking for and was told they had it, I asked and was clearly told by an employee that they close at 7pm. Drove for an hour and got there at exactly 6:35pm just to find the place closed! They need to get their act together and stick to what they say and post for their business hours.
BEST BIKE SHOP AROUND, I LIVE IN SOUTH ARLINGTON, CLOSE TO ANOTHER BIKE SHOP BUT WOULD STILL RATHER GO TO DON JOHLE'S SHOP IN GARLAND. JAMES IS THE BEST BIKE MECHANIC AND HAS EXTREME KNOWLEDGE OF THE BIKES I WAS INTERESTED IN. IF YOU NEED ANYTHING, JUST ASK FOR JAMES, HE WILL HOOK YOU UP, THANKS JAMES AND DON JOHLE'S, I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU GUYS TO EVERYONE
Had to get some work done to my bike. They where fast and knowledgeable.
Great old school bike shop guys are very helpful great selection of Haro BMX Cannondale mountain bikes and lots more!
Amazing tune-up on my bike. Feels as good as new. Possibly better.
Simple tube replacement. Great, fast service. Love the vintage bikes they have.
I have been to this bike shop on more than one occasion and the customer service is poor. The store is very small and looks like and has not been cleaned in forever. The employees do not look up at all and do not greet you when u come inside the store. I don t even know if the employees know anything about bikes because they answer questions in one to two words. I live in the area but for awesome customer service I will take my bike and my business to Sun and Ski Sports any day!!
These guys are great. They overnighted my bike so that it would be there on the one day that I was in town to pick it up before I went overseas. They even helped me pack up the bike for my plane ride, which showed up totally in tact. Other shops in the area never even responded to my emails.
Prices are a bit high. That could be justified if the customer service was excellent...but it isn't. It's really hit or miss with these guys. Usually they don't seem to care for your business.
Very nice place and the people are very knowledgeable.
Had a couple hours to blow and decided to take a bike ride along the coast sandwiched between sandy beach and rolling waves while gawking at giant beach houses I can only dream to live in.
Called them a head of time to ask if they can change a tube on a mini bike
Was told they could do so if the rim was off the bike.
Brought the Rim , tire & tube in after driving 30 min away to come here
Just for them to tell me they can t do it
Hints why I called before hand
Then they didn t care at all that I wasted my Time driving across town.
Won t be coming here for anything

You don't buy bike from them, they do not care about working on it. Gave me a double price on labor and parts over Richardson bike mart.
I was interested in heading over to look at a new Cannondale until I noticed that a large number of their reviews say exactly the same thing...literally, a cut and paste from one review to the next. If you have to fake your reviews, I question the authenticity of your shop. Not only misleading, but lazy!!
Me and my brother went get some parts for his bike, we walked in and the employee didn't even greet us, he was condescending and almost seemed annoyed by us, do not recommend.
Very courteous, and professional. The salesman helped me pick a new seat for my bike.
Bad impression:
Sales not help. I went there and asked to change a mountain bike to single speed or fix the parts of the mountain bike. He brought the calculator and start hitting sum button with a lot numbers, I was entering in panic mode state. For my surprise fix the mountain bike is going to cost me more that what i paid for the bike, Ridiculously for a few cables and parts. Then I give him the choice to change it to a single speed and he told me the cheap excuse they can't do that or isn't possible to do it. Isn't change of sex Come on, there's thousands of vids in youtube where is possible and cost less. When you know about sales and do your research you recognized about this kind of places when they prefer to charge you for everything instead of giving you a good quality services and make you come back.
I took my two bikes for a maintenance work, very satisfied on that, but the people at DJ Bike World know little or nothing about customer service. One of my bikes has a valve stem that needs a very small adaptor, I asked if they can give me just a little thing and the owner wanted to charge me two dollars, hey come on, I brought two bikes and paid around $ 160 for two maintenance services, plus one of my bike has a computer and got it removed but it was not returned to me and you still want to charge me $2 more for such small thing?? Again, their work was great on my bikes, but I would expect more consideration and customer service on their side. Hope they can improve on that, I still recommend this place, they explain well what they do on your bike and do a good job overall.
I have always had a good experience with this shop. They are very knowledgeable and will fix any bike correctly. I trust them. I have taken several bikes to be fixed and even bought one from them and it was a refurbished shop quality bike and its been great. There is a banner over the front sign stating for lease. Are you going out of business? Please say no.
Friendly. Helpful. I wish they have a bigger selection and sell specialized bikes.
I was replacing my bike tire. Friendly employees and offered great bicycle tips
Left my bike there for a couple of new tubes. When I got my bike back my $60 Electra basket was gone. They had no explanation other than I could pay $30 for one of their baskets. Richardson Bike Mart for me from now on. Lesson learned. It is clear to me you are not going to take responsibility for taking it, losing it, or whatever happened to the basket under your care. If you are not going to do what is right, then it is what it is. That's who you are and now I know.
This bike shop is horrible all they want is a sell they are rude don t want to help you
These guys are great! They went above and beyond to get my bike better then I could remember and did everything possible to repair parts I believed were broken just to save me money at the end.
The staff always make themselves available to work on my road bike any time I have an emergency. Their expertise covers road bikes to mountain bikes. A friendly staff that knows how to fix bicycles. Reasonably priced repairs.
Bike World is by far the BEST Bike Shop around! The customer service you receive is impeccable and beyond exemplary. They are attentive to what you are looking for and have expert advice. We have been to other bike shops around, but DJ's Bike World caters to you as an individual. They have so many options and accessories to choose from. We can't wait to ride our new bike and get our older bikes back from having them tuned up. Great place, great people and great service. Go visit them and you will see what we mean!
Informative and willing to help but not what I was needing for two college campus bikes.
They gave me 15 days for tune up which I agree. Took them more than 22 days not even started working on it. Never coming back again.
Good bike repair shop with knowledgeable staff. They have worked on my bike twice and I was very satisfied each time.
We gave the guy our kiddo s exact measurements and he showed us the right bike for his size. However, took it home and our kid can barely reach the handlebars. They don t take returns/exchanges, apparently, even though they had assured us that bike was for his size... so $400 later, we are stuck with it.
DJ's is one of the best shops in the Dallas area. It has one of the absolutely best wheel and bike techs I have ever known.

Did not feel welcomed to be in the store. The guy helping me ( i belive was the owner) was a real snob, and had a bad attitude. I had called in to ask how much it was to pack a bike for shipping, was told $60, once i got to the store he said it would be $80. I was also interested in buying a bike he had at the store, and when I asked how much was he selling it for? he didn't give me a straight answer, in other words saying I couldn't afford it. I'm not sure if this guy is a racist or is just a moron, or maybe both.

Preston and James are very helpful, I love these guys! I've bought all of my bike here, going on 10 years strong! They are very helpful!!
Slow and pricey.2 star for still friendly. I need faster service and commitment.
Good place to take your bike in for repairs. Decent selection of new and used bicycles also. Friendly knowledgeable staff!
Good place to buy quality bicycles and parts. They also have a good repair service.
Very helpful. Carrie's parts for old school bmx as well
Really like the store and the owner is super ready to help you and talk with you .prices are good for a independent shop .the select tion. Could be better but that's not a problem cuz the owner will order pretty much anything you would want.
Best bike shop in my opinion in Dallas. Not the biggest but they can meet all your needs with knowledge, service and equipment.
Helpful staff and they don't try to oversell you. They suggest what is actually work best for you.
Awesome bike shop, friendly and helpful staff. Went in to get a new tire and a couple other items. Had what I needed and had me ready to go in a few minutes.
Bought a cannondale catalyst 3, I love it, 3 month bumper to bumper warranty and 1 year basic maintenance
Called the store before arriving for a multi speed basic bicycle tune up. The employee confirmed that they are accepting the $45 tune up from Groupon before I purchased the Groupon. I even asked if they honor same day purchases. Arrived 20 mins later just to be told they no longer accept Groupon. The employee even admitted that he told me that the Groupon would be accepted. But his manager (the owner?) blantanly refused to accept it. Instead they wanted to charge a full price of $75.
Good at what they do but very unfriendly. I'm not accustomed to being treated like I don't count. I think the main guy there must be a mid-westerner with his drab personality.

Man this place is expensive as hell no wonder why there's hardly Any1 over there everytime I pass by. This place has been open for years I'm surprised how if they are so costly
Know their bike parts
Easy to work with
Decent LBS. Have limited selection of items but they have not failed me yet. You can tell they're backed up due to the bike craze, they could use some help service is a little slow. Overall satisfied though because they have taken care of my needs.
Absolutely love this place when it comes to all biking parts.! Super helpful and friendly guys there and if I don't know what exactly I need and I have my bike they will look at it and tell me and find the best part and it's always super affordable.!
I have been coming to Don's Bike World for years, after Saturday, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. My son ran over an earring and punctured his tire. I didn't have the tool to insert the inner tube so I had them replace it for me. The very next time we rode bikes it went flat almost immediately after hitting the trail on Duck Creek.
I took it back to have them replace it. I noticed that they aired it up to see where the issue was. He threw it in the trash so I asked him. He said it was the valve stem and that they rub against the opening if not centered and that inner tubes should be deflated and re aired up to make sure it is seated properly.
I informed him that they replaced it last and the gutty with the mohawk never said anything about that and how much of a bummer it was to have to load up 3 bikes and go back home that Sunday because it went flat. I suggested that they at least comp the labor charge.
They didn't even say a word and rang it up and
charged me labor. Luckily there are bilke shops all over Dallas because I will never return even though it is 5 miles from my house.
The guy was snobby and I believe he was the owner he ripped us he charged us $60 instead of $42 and I wanted a refund so I called my dad and the guy didn't want to talk with him because he knew he was wrong for doing that so yeah
Friendly staff, decent affordable price ranges, quick turn-around on repairs. I'll be using them again
New to the mtb. I asked alot of questions and never once was i treated like I was ignorant or not cared about. I was given excellent customer service at all times. They ordered my bike and it arrived when they said it would and they kept me informed at all times. I love my bike and I will be returning for future servicing and any other biking needs.
Just a small good old bike shop that needs to improve on shoe inventory.
One of the few mechanics I trust to work on my families bikes. Best labor prices in DFW as well.
Great little shop. James was an absolute pleasure to talk with. He answered all my newbie mountain bike questions and helped get my new ride dialed. Plus, he had a sick mohawk!
