What an amazing place to take you sweet fur babies . The owners are great and professional. The staff is caring and great with the dogs. The kennel areas are clean and so inviting. I would highly recommend Dog Gone Happy.
I am super picky about boarding my dogs. I avoid it if possible but sometimes it just isn t possible as you know. Had to make a week trip to Vermont. Did loads of research and decided on Dog Gone Happy. I am so happy I did! The staff was fantastic at answering all my nervous nelly questions and explaining how my babies have never been left before. No one talked down to me or made me feel like a fool for being so concerned. I have had that at other places. My dogs are like my kids (now that my human kids are grown).
My dogs got to stay together and had plenty of space. I brought only their dog food from home and their specific bowls because of height issues and a slow feeder. They do have food they can provide but, I didn t see the need to cause upset tummies. I did let mine use the facility dog beds and blankets that were provided but, sent a couple of t-shirts that had been worn (1for each) so they had a comforting smell from home.
I was planning to call immediately the next day in the morning but that night I received a report card that showed my two puppers sweetly resting on dogs beds and looking fine. Dog bowls were empty so they obviously ate okay too. The staff continued to send regular report cards with pictures of my dogs in the daycare enjoying themselves too. Dogs being boarded get to participate in doggie daycare unless you specified not to. Honestly, I felt so good about my dogs that I actually may take another vacation! I didn t feel guilty after seeing their faces. They seemed to be clearly having fun! This is a fabulous place for dogs and there is a vet on site just in case. I will absolutely use them again for boarding and am thinking I will get a daycare package just so they can have opportunities to play from time to time.
We have boarded our 2 dogs at several locations. This is by far the best experience we have ever had. The staff is so friendly and considerate. During the stay they are happy to give updates over the phone and also send pictures. Our one pup does not eat well when she is away from home and has lost weight in the past when we have boarded her. Dog Gone Happy goes out of their way to sit with her during her meals to make sure she eats! The peace of mind we get while our dogs are there is so nice, and when we pick them up they look and act as happy as ever. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone with dogs.

I have a special dog...we rescued her from a breeder when she was 3. She came packaged with a sweet goofy personality coupled with a lot of anxiety. We found Dog Gone Happy through a dear friend (and Bella's usual caretaker when we travel) and I am delighted with the incredible service they have provided. They noticed right away that my Bella may be large (90 lbs), but she hangs best with the little less rambunctious dogs. They noticed that she likes to socialize a bit, but not too long. They really pay attention to each dog's personality and needs. As for service...we recently had an emergency in our family on the week of Thanksgiving and needed their help boarding Bella last minute. They were so gracious and kind. They found a spot for Bella and took such great care of her. Bella comes home happy and less anxious after her visits at Dog Gone Happy. I am forever grateful. I really love this company. They will take great care of your fury family members.

Our dog loves the place, whenever she came back you can tell she had much fun in there, her was wagging and then she immediately fell asleep in the car. In addition, the staff working the front desk is so friendly and helpful. Last week we were on a trip from raleigh to durham, due to traffic, lthey even allowed us to pick up our dog after approximate an hour late than the original close time. We know we can trust them and we will continue bringing our dog to their facility
I ve been taking my dog to Dog Gone Happy since the first month they were open. It is now like a second home for my dog. The owners, Jen and Karen, are so nice and take great care of my dog, as if she was one of their own! Every staff member is so pleasant and kind. My dog is always excited when we drive up and she realizes we are at daycare. It is such a nice feeling to drop her off and not have to worry about her well being I know she is in good hands and having a blast with her friends.
I toured Dog Gone Happy recently and my experience was everything I hoped for. Jen provided the tour and made me feel so comfortable and showed she really truly cares for their clients and their furbabies! She really took her time to answer all my questions, as well, and I never felt rushed. The facility is a great size with open play rooms and I never smelled any bad odors. The kennels are a good size and are in a bright and open area. All kennels have a raised cot bed inside, as well, for the dog's comfort. The outdoor space has turf grass and Jen mentioned they may be expanding the outdoor area. Best part is that the owners Jen and Karen are registered vet techs and appreciate that safety is a priority. I definitely plan to take my dog here for daycare and boarding.
I boarded my dog here for the weekend and it was a wonderful experience for us all! The staff was friendly, accommodating and patient with my many questions and concerns about being away from my puppy for the weekend. It appears that my pup had a great time, too! I will definitely be boarding her here again!

Kodi went for doggie daycare. He absolutely loved everyone who worked there and enjoyed playing with all the dogs!! .....thank you for wearing him out! Got home and he's sound asleep! Such a great experience, will be back!

After we had several issues with our previous daycare/boarding hotel, we found Dog Gone Happy. We were primarily interested in the luxury suites because our dog Delilah loves to sleep on our bed. Since then, this is our go to for daycare and boarding. Even though there are other places much closer to our house it is worth the drive. Jen, Karen, and the rest of the staff are incredibly nice, knowledgeable and our dogs always come home tired but happy. We love that if our dogs stay for the night, they spend the day playing without being charged extra. I would highly recommend DGH.

We have been to almost every daycare in Raleigh and we have finally found our home. The facility is super clean and the staff is amazing. Met the owners Jen and Karen and couldn't feel more comfortable leaving our pups in their care. Our dogs didn't want to leave when we came to pick them up which stamped our final seal of approval!

What a fantastic home away from home for our precious pup! No need to look anywhere else because nothing else will measure up to the dog lover owners Jen and Karen and their wonderful facility. They treat my baby as if he was their own and I feel so comfortable leaving him there knowing he is in good hands.
We are visiting from out of State for several weeks due to work. We knew, when we decided to bring our 18 month old Pup, we would need professional care this maiden voyage.

My dog loves this place! She has tried a few other boarding facilities and her pictures were pathetic.. she looked like someone stole her lunch money. But at DGH she flashes a HUGE smile when she walks in the door, the staff greets her by name, she plays her old-lady-heart out (staff comments on how they can't believe she's 11), and then has to say bye to everyone before she can leave. Happy happy!
You have to register dog online no idea how to do that I good with scanning documents and I was not allowed to bring paper copies of records I will go somewhere else woman was also extremely rude
I love taking my 2 Great Danes to this place! They go twice a week and always have an amazing time and are worn out of the rest of the day. They are super responsive and are extremely understanding if issues come up. Take your dogs there and you will not regret it!
Just picked up our furry girl who wasn t allowed where we vacationed. Izzy is 12 years old and has only ever stayed with family or a family friend. She vacationed at Dog Gone Happy for 10 days!, and came home so happy!!! She stepped right into normal routine; a very good sign she was well taken care of. Although we all missed her, there was no doubt she was in good hands. Do not hesitate. Karen and Jennifer have thought of everything to keep your furry family member comfortable, secure and in close routine as home. I just cannot say enough about their attention to detail in their care as well as facility. Thank you Karen,

I adopted my sweet boy, Cooper, from the SPCA in June of 2018. He is a sweet boy, but he had zero social skills with other dogs. He received obedience training and gained some confidence, but he needed to be socialized. Cooper received daily walks from a Rover sitter, but because I could not trust him in the house alone, he remained crated while I was at work. He was full of energy and I felt bad having to crate him for the majority of the day. Things happen and my Rover sitter was no longer available. On the advice of my neighbors, I took Cooper to Dog Gone Happy for a temperament test. Cooper did not do great. He was anxious and scared (that day was the first time I had ever left him anywhere!). I brought him home and was trying to figure out what to do next, when I received a call from one of the owners, Jennifer. She said Cooper was a sweet boy (he is) and asked if I d be willing to bring him back for two days in a row and they would see if they could work with him. I was more than willing to do so. Cooper did GREAT! Jennifer, Karen, and the staff worked with Cooper and gave him the individual attention he needed. The owners really know dogs and knew how to bring Cooper out of his shell! He is slowly working his way into becoming a happier, healthier, socialized dog who is now living his best life because the owners at Dog Gone Happy took a chance on Cooper and worked with him. I do not know how to express how grateful I am for their kindness. Cooper will be attending daycare five days a week for as long as he can. I highly recommend Dog Gone Happy. The owners and staff are patient, kind, knowledgeable, generous people, who genuinely care about the dogs in their care. They will not only take excellent care of your dogs, but will also go the extra mile to work with dogs like Cooper, who need extra attention. I will be forever grateful!
Great staff, clean facility, and great daily structure. They let our dogs play all day so they are not bored. Daycare and overnight stays are great.
