Do Some Good is a fantastic tool--it captures the social impact our team contributes through volunteerism and allows us to share stories and photos of great organizations we partner with.

As the director ( volunteer) of the 6 major annual events of Global Citizen Kelowna, I am always on the look-out for fellow volunteers! When I signed up for Do Some Good, I thought "this is so easy' "what a great platform"... "but we shall see what comes of it"... and to my delight within a couple of weeks we had three expressions of interest. This resulted in two amazing and hard-working volunteers - a social media guru who has taken our social media presence to a whole new level and the other, a retired banker, volunteering in the financial and budget-setting end of things. It is a total honor and privilege to have joined the Good Company Network! Only a few weeks ago we were approached by a 'Do Some Good' representative who professionally explained the concept behind the 'Do Some Good' app and program. They were never pushy but were straight forward in there explanation and promotion of the program, and answered any questions we had. We were eager to jump on board, and with in a matter of days we had a complete profile and posted "OFFER". The tech support was very accessible, and quick to answer any questions we had regarding the set up of our business profile. Once our profile was complete they stopped by the office to drop off some information and even took the time to talk with our staff on how to promote the program to our patients! The whole process to join the Good Company Network was straight forward and simple!

I believe the strongest impact of Do Some Good is that when you see what others in the community are engaged in, you feel that sense of community and the drive to become involved yourself and it is helping me to discover groups I didn't even know existed.

When a business donates to a charity, that charity supports the business, and in turn creates more business, which gives us more money to give back to charities. The Do Some Good App gives us the ability to reciprocate, which is so powerful.

My favourite thing about Do Some Good is the community involvement and the ability to give to multiple charities. I got involved with Do Some Good because of the community-mindedness of the platform and spread the wealth to other charities. I wanted to differentiate myself in the community. When I first moved to Kelowna I discovered the Do Some Good app and used it to discover ways to get involved in the community and to find businesses with a social conscience to do business with and work for.

Now I work with a "Good Company" and find this platform an easy way to talk about our charity contributions and to promote local charities. The staff at Do Some Good are very supportive and helpful to ensure your page is relevant, current and set up correctly.

They also create new ways to engage with customers, for example the offers program.
