There were definitely some great features of this experience. The food was decent, considering how much they have to prepare. The horses were beautiful and the servers were personable and friendly. They even know how to manage large crowds well. Problematic though is the fact that the performers were obviously lip-syncing. And by far the worst part of it all was their insistence on exacerbating animosity. The "host" figure used name-calling and other techniques to go way beyond "healthy" competition among the audience; at one point he even mocked a sense of "unity" and lauded booing instead. This tired narrative of North vs South is not serving Dixie Stampede's patrons and in fact serves to alienate them. The bald hypocrisy of touting their celebration of Jesus as the "real reason for the season" while simultaneously seeking to instill hatred and discord is the primary reason I have to give them only 2 stars.
Such a fun experience, especially with children! My two year old, five year old, and nine year old were greatly entertained. They serve you more than enough food. Waiters are awesome and hustle to make sure your needs are met. When you go in they lead you to take photos with whoever you are with. We had a huge group of 16 and they did their best to squeeze us all in on photo! Then you go into a waiting area where you can purchase refreshments as you wait. A small band comes out and entertains everyone for a few minutes before they lead you into the main auditorium. Then the show begins and the food is brought out throughout. The staff is so friendly and kind! We loved our experience and highly recommend
It may seem pricey (read the but) BUT, it s dinner and a show. You basically can mark off 4 hours and be feed and entertained. Our kids talk about the show until the next time we go. It s worth every dollar and a magical event.
Nice show. Reasonable prices.
Good service. Thanks Taylor
Great service, food was pretty good, the show was Great.
Great show. Various activities engaging the crowd. Good food
Great show great food just be ready to get your hands messy!!!
Very good time. Good food. Loved everything about it. Will go again.
Great food and amaze ng experience. My only complaint is that you had to sit extremely close together.
Got to be there you will enjoy it bring your family and friends
Great show, amazing food and amazing service that's all there is to say.
An absolute must when I go to Gatlinburg.. I always pair tickets for this with the Aquarium.. It's fun for the family or for adults with no children..
Amazing experience 10/10 it was fun even got to be apart of the show
Everything was great! Very impressed. Most definitely worth it.
First time ever to Pigeon Forge and to the Dixie Stampede. Great service, delicious food (plenty of it) and a great show. Very talented horsemanship. Highly recommended.
Excellent family experience!! Pre dinner entertainment, and a big performance while you are served and eating dinner!! Money very well spent. There was a very nice gift shop to visit afterwards.
My favorite place to visit while on vacation. The food is incredible and the show was incredible. Fun for all ages!!! Really amazing place!!!
Awesome show, great food, audience participation, and very fun.
It's amazing. Plenty of food, lots of laughter and thrills. Be prepared to use your hands to eat!
Food and performance was outstanding! --didnt know there wasn't any alcohol? Maybe this will help someone
The show was pretty good. I didn't like that you had to eat with your hands. And the stable smell was very off putting to eating. We also saw a horse pooping as we were eating. I was unable to eat my food.
Very expensive show. It wasn't what I was expecting. After visiting Disney last summer I don't think anything can compare to their shows. Definitely not worth the money. And I certainly would not want to eat there.
Loved the show, food was great as well, and service was amazing!!!
Everyone in our group enjoyed the show. Mixed reviews on the food from our family. It was just okay, not really great. The way they executed it and brought everything out was perfect. The server was good I think her name was taylor. I kinda didn't like how they had everything in pitchers including the soda made it taste kind of flat, I guess that's how they have to do it for that many people. We had silverware on our table. I dont think the servers get tipped all that well considering she graciously thanked us for tipping her 20% of our reservation price. I didn't see very many people tip or tip that much. Overall was a good experience.
Get there a bit early, pre-purchase your tickets. No strollers inside, and you'll be holding a small baby a long time, so prepare ahead with essential bag. Go to the restroom as you emter, and before the main show if you have a weak bladder. Great show! Good food, pictures start at $40 for a package.
A little disappointed that Dixie was taken out of the name for political correctness but still a great show and value for an evening out with the family.
The food is unbelievably good (save from the very dry pork chop). Show is very good too, but it's more story than show.
Awesome show. The food was pretty good, not the best I've ever had, but not bad.
For kids it s a good show. $120 for three people. Decent food. Not bad but not the best. One visit is enough.... way overpriced!
Very fun. Food was delicious. Loved the horses and so did my granddaughter. Here is a pic with one of the lovely "princesses" they have working their my granddaughter was thrilled
Always enjoy the Dixie stampede this was the kids first time seeing it and they absolutely loved it too, wonderful way to make memories
Always a great experience. My family and I will never get tired of this show.
First class, family dinner show all the way. When I got to the ticket booth ( I had pre paid ), I happened to be wearing my veterans hat, and the lady at the booth noticed I hadn't used my veterans discount. This was applied and refunded to my credit card. The pre show was great as well, our server was Greg, very effective and efficient at his job as was the rest of the staff, amazing how you can seat, feed and entertain 1100 people. Haven't seen that effenciy since I left the military, but these folks did it with a smile, unlike my drill sergeant.
Thank to Dolly and all who made this an enjoyable evening.
Great atmosphere, music, and show! The staff were very friendly and helpful, clean, and lots of fun for the kids!
Wonderful show. The best memories made with my children. Everyone had a great time. We hated to leave. Food was wonderful and service was also
Fun for the whole family! I expected this to be kind of hokey, but we all enjoyed it, especially my horse crazy daughter. The good was delicious and fun to eat with your hands.
Enjoy the show was a great birthday gift from my wife first time we had been there was very enjoyable
Expensive, but a fun time for the family with great food and entertainment.
6 of us went. We had front row sec. L seats it was such an awesome experience. The food was excellent, the staff was amazing, and the show was extremely entertaining. We had kids age 2, 4, and 12 and adults 23, 37, and 65. We all had an absolutely awesome time. Our 2 yr old got picked to go down and be in the show and chase a chicken. We had such a great time. Absolutely loved it!!
OK show and food. Very organized & efficient. Bring your own utensils
Love To Buy The Soup ,bring home and fix when you want,it Delicious
Amazing show! My kids 5&8 enjoyed it a lot! Make sure you come hungry and early! There s a preshow that you don t want to miss. You are able to buy popcorn and special non alcoholic drinks which is special. Dinner was good my 5 year old wasn t too thrilled since he s a picky eater. The show was very entertaining my kids still talk about it!
Horribly innaccurate.
The north should always win.
The conquering of the Americas did not happen as described in the show.
Lastly, there was no Battle Hym of the Republic.
It was a Christmas Show and was fantastic. I felt like a 62 year old kid watching a show like Frozen. Simply beautiful and the food was fantastic. What a great time and place. Mezmorizing to say the least.
Great food and entertainment was great. Would go back to see again.
Our kids, ages 6, 4, and 1.5 all loved it. Food is great....no silverware, so you eat with your hands. They did bring me gluten free options. Highly recommend it.
My background in theatre performance and technical design makes me very hesitant to spend my vacation time watching a show. However, this entertainment smorgasbord slapped me upside the face. Combine Medieval Times with some Disney choreography and pyrotechnics and splash some Cirque du Soleil competitive trick horseback riding into a dinner experience where the servers and food presentation are timed right down to the minute. Even the food was impressive and as healthy as can be achieved when serving (my estimate of) 1600 people in less than 90 minutes. Truly, this place is a well-oiled machine, and their ability to get audience engagement by cheering for your assigned red or blue team as the riders compete makes it part gameshow as well. They get your zip code when you make reservations so they can seat you in the proper section for north or south. Who figures this out? Even the parking lot was immaculate. Precision on all fronts. Go here. And take cash to tip your server. They work their butts off. Amen.
We loved it all! Not accustom to eating with our fingers but the food was delicious and the show was amazing
Was a very good show. With good food. Was here last year and will be back again.
When my wife told me how much the tickets were I thought it was quite expensive. Let me assure you that is worth every penny and so much more. Show was excellent and the food was very good as well. If you leave hungry there must be something wrong with you.
This is a must see show, the dinner was so fabulous people friendly server are fast Nd take care of your every need . I was escorting a man that had. Shattered leg and the servers helped us get him down to the front row safely the men and women stepped up in every way there is not enough stars to put up for this show I will definitely go back again ..... if u have never seen this bring the family . I have to say this was my first time and the hole staff from food to service to riders the total show was more then worth the tickets amazing please if u never been take a trip u will not regret it bring the kids they get them involved in the show also come bring your star to the show
Just like medieval times but with a historic American theme.
Good show, food mediocre. Staff argued in front of guest. They need customer service training.
What an organized dinner show. Food was really good and more than what I d ever order for myself. We left with doggy bags filled with food. The show is entertaining from beginning to end. Absolutely loved how engaging they are with the crowd. Even the pre show was awesome. It s a must if you visit with family.
-Team South
The show and our waitress, Jennifer was great! Our drinks were never empty and she was always so pleasant. I highly recommend this dinner show to anyone that visits Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge! Pre-show staff was awesome too!
The show is enjoyable as the food is good. I would rate it higher, but the show doesn't change much from year to year.
Excellent show. Great service. Just a little pricey.
it was ok. Glad we went but wouldn't return. Shame on Dolly for changing the name from Dixie Stampede.
Really good show, food was good and you leave there full.
They serve tons of food here! And the pre-show and actual show was amazing!!
Very expensive for the quality of the show. The food was great if you don't mind eating a roasted chicken with your fingers. My suggestion is save the cost and go do something more exciting. But, the kids will enjoy it. Not a bad show, just not great.
Absolutely loved the show! Will definitely be back!
