This is a typical finance company. Universal Windows Direct use them for financing. Dividend Finace told me on my paperwork the 1st payment was due July 5th. Then I got a letter in the mail saying it was Oct 6th. They neglected to tell me interest was being charged from July 5th until I pay it off! What a rip off! They get one star from me. If I could give Zero I would.
Very difficult financier. Avoid if possible.
I paid my bill on time, on the 3rd of the month. I was later notified of a missing payment and late charge. I was told that the billing cycle starts on the 5th, so because I paid early it didn t register as paid. Which is why I got the late charge.
I asked what I need to do to change the date of the billing cycle. I get paid once a month and pay all my bills on the 1st. I was told several times and several ways that I cannot change it.
The next month, I waited. I paid on the 14th. Another late charge.

This company has been a bother for years. These are only the last couple issues.
Definitely avoid them. They have cost me a great deal of extra cash.
The loan isn't a complicated text of opposing verbage. Dividend is completely transparent on not only the wording but what I should expect and what they expect from me. The interest rate is fantastic as well.
I purchased a solar system through a company and financed through Dividend. The solar worked for 14 months. For the last 4 I have reached out to every solar company I can to get it repaired and nobody will touch it. After calling Dividend they told me they could not only help me get it repaired but would help enforce the warranty on the work. I was so happy until I called back 2 weeks later and a different person told me I was on my own. Now I m looking at legal representation to fight paying for something that doesn t work. Solar is a scam and Dividend profits off the scammers.
Very good experience with the contractor, painters and customer service. The painters came on time everyday and were courteous. They painted and cleaned up my property when they completed the project and my house is now beautiful. I love it!

This company just put a lien on our home even though we paid them off in full two years ago!!! When we called, their own records showed it was paid off. Their explanation? They just do that to EVERY home with solar panels they financed that goes up for sale. What??? Really? That doesn t seem ethical at all!
