About Diocese of norwich education and academies trust (dneat)
DNEAT: Welcome to Our Family
The Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust (DNEAT) is a family of schools that provides high-quality education to children in Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire. DNEAT was established in 2013 as a multi-academy trust (MAT) by the Diocese of Norwich, which has been providing education for over 900 years.
DNEAT is committed to providing an outstanding education for all its pupils. The trust believes that every child deserves the best possible start in life and works tirelessly to ensure that its schools provide a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
At DNEAT, we believe that our schools are more than just places of learning; they are communities where everyone is valued and respected. We are proud of our caring ethos and supportive culture, which enables us to create an inclusive environment where every child feels safe and happy.
Our Values
At the heart of everything we do at DNEAT are our shared values. These values guide us in all our decisions and actions:
- Respect: We treat everyone with respect.
- Compassion: We show kindness and understanding towards others.
- Courage: We have the courage to do what is right.
- Forgiveness: We forgive others when they make mistakes.
- Thankfulness: We appreciate what we have.
Our Schools
DNEAT currently has 32 academies across Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire. Our schools range from small rural primaries to large urban secondaries but share a common goal - providing an excellent education for all their pupils.
All our schools have access to high-quality support services provided by DNEAT's central team. This includes finance, HR, IT support as well as curriculum development expertise.
We work closely with each school's leadership team to ensure that they receive the support they need while maintaining their autonomy. We believe that this approach enables our schools to provide the best possible education for their pupils.
Our Curriculum
At DNEAT, we believe that a broad and balanced curriculum is essential for providing an outstanding education. We are committed to providing a curriculum that is challenging, engaging, and relevant to our pupils' needs.
We place a strong emphasis on developing pupils' literacy and numeracy skills as we believe these are fundamental to success in all areas of life. We also offer a wide range of subjects including science, history, geography, art, music, drama as well as modern foreign languages.
We recognise the importance of preparing our pupils for life beyond school. That's why we offer a range of vocational courses such as BTECs and apprenticeships alongside traditional academic qualifications such as GCSEs and A-levels.
Our Teachers
At DNEAT, we know that great teachers make great schools. That's why we invest heavily in professional development opportunities for all our staff. We want our teachers to be the best they can be so they can provide the best possible education for their pupils.
We have an extensive programme of training courses covering everything from behaviour management to subject-specific pedagogy. Our teachers also have access to coaching and mentoring support from experienced colleagues within the trust.
We are proud of our commitment to teacher wellbeing at DNEAT. We recognise that teaching can be a demanding profession so we provide regular opportunities for staff to relax and recharge through activities such as yoga classes or mindfulness sessions.
Conclusion
DNEAT is more than just a group of schools; it's a family where everyone is valued and respected. Our shared values guide us in everything we do - from providing an outstanding education for all our pupils to supporting each other through difficult times.
We are proud of what we have achieved so far but know there is always more work to do. We will continue striving towards excellence in everything we do so that our pupils can achieve their full potential and go on to lead happy, successful lives.
