aweful customer service. staff have poor English. never go again.
We went to the restaurant on Tuesday afternoon at 1pm for yumcha, we can see the restaurant is half empty but two staffs make us to wait till someone paying the bill. I feel very disappointed because it was one of my favourite place and not anymore. No matter how amazing of the food, customer service is more import on hospitality management. If the owner watch this, please improve.
Awesome yum cha with great friendly service! What more can you ask for.
Had an amazing dinner with my friends here. Great service and great food, the menu feels huge and the variety of food doesn't reduce the quality of what's served. Have some great memories of this place, and have come a few times in the past weeks after my initial visit.
take away yumcha, perfect service and good food (even after 30mins journey)! they also allow customer to take the chilli oil and soy sauce without additional charge! highly recommended to everyone during this pandemic situation
Go for the dim sum menu, they can also provide pictures, tick off two or three each, and enjoy sharing.
A quick meal, ate and out in 45 mins. Selection of food is good
Ok food but venue nothing amazing. But pretty busy and decent so worth a try
Always the best yum cha in town never fail every time I go there, worth the wait. However very full during weekend so best to book or go during the weekdays.
Had a great Bahn Mi. Other food looks good and very well priced. Suggest you drop in for a good cheap lunch.
Great Chinese food. Portion size is big & the ambience is lovely.
Delicious meals. Head chef takes pride in his trade and obviously refines his skills constantly. Rare to be disappointed eating here. Top notch floor manageress. Place can do with some jazzing up though.
Ok Chinese, their fried rice needs some work, need to modernise their menu.
The yumchar is surprisingly good and I felt even it's better than a lot of Yumchar Spot in Sydney.
Strongly recommend if you are visiting Adelaide Chinatown.
Omg omg this place serves absolutely DELICIOUS food & beers!!!!! Can t wait to go back!
Enjoyed another lovely meal at Ding Hao. Food was fresh & delicious. Service was efficient & attentive. Highly recommend the Salt & Pepper Moreton Bay Bugs.
It's one of the whitenapkin Chinese restaurants but probably one of the best - quality food & good service.
We sampled a wide range of yum cha dishes plus the a-la-carte clams in XO sauce, Moreton bay bugs. They were all tasty & quite nice & reasonably priced.
A negative point was the bathrooms which should have been better looked after & maintained
The restaurant seemed to be popular and crowded around lunch time. We're lucky to have a table as we arrived around 11am. Towards noon, it's getting crowded and there's a queue of people waiting to be seated
Delicious dim sum at an extremely reasonable price! Everything we ordered was great.
Fast service even though they were packed, really lovely staff, great atmosphere and great food
This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Adelaide. Both the service and food are great and would recommend the restaurant to anyone. I got a person who didn't like Chinese food to love it at this restaurant.
Best yum cha in Adelaide, definitely go check it out on a Saturday for lunch, you will love how fast and efficient the service is. Great place to get decent meals when you're on Gouger St. Highly recommended
Its okay only. Nothing stands out and the taste is alright. We kinda got rushed to leave the table as they kept asking if we are done and wants to clear all our utensils. The younger waiter and waitresses serve the customers better and carries a smile most of the time when you talk to them so thats good.
Variety of food and some dishes were hit or miss. Food was reasonably priced
Great Canto cuisine dishes. Attentive service and reasonable prices will definitely revisit.
Enjoyed another lovely meal at Ding Hao. Food was fresh & delicious.
Service was bad. I nearly got splashed with water at the bar when asked for a table water
Yum Cha today, quality and freshly cooked.
Recommend to anybody.
A M A Z I N G as always what more could you expect nice clean tasty food great staff and very quick.. 10/10
An institution, bustling and frantic, all the classic yum cha favorites. The salt and pepper squid and smoked duck are favorites as well as the suit main and yam puff.
Been coming here for years and never disappoints. Still outstanding establishment.
Being a Canuck & Hong Kongese, Ding Hao has done a fairy good job for General cantonese cuisine. Vacationing at ADL for 5 days, we dined at DH twice, a dinner and yum cha. Dinner is great, fresh food, deep fried squid and chicken dish are delicious. House special Fried rice served in a mini wok is a neat touch. Yum cha is ok, pan fried beef noodle and congee are great. Rice rolls w wrapped Chinese chopsticks donut is a must try dish (even better if they could serve w Hoisin sauce ). However some dim sum were served not as hot as we expected eg stuffed green pepper. Service is excellent, lots of staff and they are helpful. Special thanks to Jenny, Mona and May for recommending house special dishes. Price is reasonable. Seating at dinner is better than yum cha - as weekend yum cha are busy and crowded. I will
Definitely visit again in 2020!
Amazing dim sum. They have around 20 different flavours of dimsum, they're all decent.
This is one of the best dimsum places in town
Great food and service as always, been going here for years.
Very poor service.very poor that at 12.30 no spring rolls all for 5 Yum cha meals and over two hour for 5 meals and out of the wine we wanted so had to take second best.overall will never return poor service poor meals and just poor all round.was testing to bring family of six noway now .just really bad.
SAVE YOUR MONEY GO TO ELSEWHERE. THE CHINA MARKET IS RECOMMENDED.
Great spot for yum cha. Super efficient staff and little down time between dishes. Very reasonably priced and quality is fantastic.
Consistently good. Excellent dumplings and quick friendly service. Good value for money.
The food is ok, but the clerk looks down on the Chinese? Service is not a bad description, compared to the service of white people, can already be regarded as discrimination against Chinese.
Exceptional Chinese food, the best yum Cha and above all fabulous service which is very personable. Dishes are reasonably priced and cooked to order. To me this is the benchmark when it comes to Chinese food in Adelaide and so far (after countless visits) it s ahead by a country mile. I have never had anything but great dining experience at Ding Hao. Very highly recommend this place.
Great food and very authentic. We got our food (7 people) reasonably quickly considering the restaurant was packed with lunar new year celebrations. Only reason it's not a five star was because when we arrived, we sat at our table for about 20 minutes with no one coming to take a drinks order. Once we had sent someone to go and get a waiter, it was pretty good service.
If you are looking for yum cha, search no more. Best place around.
Nice YumCha. But unfortunately not a great place for dinning.
Don't judge a book by its cover! When I first saw the Ding Hao sign, I wasn't very excited... But the restaurant is SO much nicer than expected inside! I ate here on a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch and was highly impressed with the food and service. All the items that I ordered were perfectly organized and looking very tempting. And yes, the food was literally awesome, will definitely visit here in the coming weekend!!!
My family and I enjoyed our meal tonight, including the vegetarian options - we had vegetarian parcels, stir fried Chinese broccoli, lotus root & tofu, smoked tea duck & satay beef vermicelli hotpot. Service is alright but importantly, food is delicious. Would come again!
The food was decent. Wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The service was good. We ended up getting there right before they were closing before dinner prep so we seemed a bit rushed.
Excellent food, great service and friendly staff. The BBC is one of our favs!
Eat dumplings in Adelaide
Service friendly and good value for money
Yum cha was ok, a little disappointing. The seafood dumplings took so long to come out after we had sat down.
Dim sums are yummy but quite disappointed with the fried beef rice noodle and yimee as they're very oily and salty with little noodle but lots of beansprouts.
A favourite to keep coming back to, great flaming satay with just the right amount of spice, steamed buns to die for, and i could eat the steamed dim sim for hours on end and never stop. Green tea is a great accompanying drink too...!!!!
From a vego viewpoint, this was disappointing experience - but perhaps I shouldn't be surprised. It's not really the place you go for interesting vegetarian food. However, the Yum Cha menu omitted references to meat on many dishes, so we ordered several not realising they weren't vegetarian. A waste of money and food.
Service was good and the food was of decent quality, was a bit pricey for what we got.
The food was really great. Possibly the best Yum Cha I have eaten at. Service speed and friendliness let them down a little, but a huge tip of the hat to the chef.
Great food, great value.
Nice place to eat Chinese food and lots of different foods to choose! Price point is good too.
I ve never had a meal in the evening, but I ve never eaten Chinese food. The service is poor.
At night, the 6th place from the left is more than a four-person table.
I ordered a single staff member to write the wrong order. I left the cheat sheet. After the soup, I would like to bury a piece of dim sum paper. By the way, my attitude is super uncomfortable. I will tell you that D is earlier than the piece of dim sum paper. I really want to be the first time. The food will know that you have to put the dim sum first
Order Zuo Yi Tang 7 dishes and 3 dim sum
Sichuan Hot and Sour Soup Sour and Spicy Jie Tart Tart
Fish-flavored eggplant pot, tomato sauce and minced eggplant
Stir-fried bones change into soy sauce, sour and sweet soy flavor
Fried chicken turned into roasted spring chicken
Two bamboo branches and mixed vegetables are tasteless and lush
Shredded chicken jellyfish gets salty
The marinated cow shows off its meat shoes until the grandmother doesn t recognize it
The Huadiao Drunken Chicken has no smell of Huadiao, it's faint to death. The chicken seems to have been cooked for ten years, and the shoes have passed my feet
The quicksandbags are so old that they don t know anything and tasteless and wild
Vegetable Miao Dumplings are thick and tasteful
Shrimp dumplings with ginger noodles
Talk to the D staff about a quicksand bag, don t fasten the right way. Hey, oh, go left with one left sound.
When I paid the bill, I asked the manager and asked me if I had eaten it myself. D Remember since I miss you without any wildness?
Experience super fork D food is difficult to eat, poor service attitude, narrow space, expensive price not worth it to try
worst Chinese food and services ever I've ever experienced !!!
It s always a fight for a table and then it s always a wait for food but when you do get your hands on the fresh yum cha trays - it s some of the best you ll get in Adelaide. Sitting out on the street is quieter and you still receive attention from the staff, just prepare to be approached by people asking for money. The seafood dumplings were chock full of fresh ingredients - too good
Great, fresh dumplings every time and fantastic service to boot. Weve been going for lunch every week for 3 years and it doesn't let us down
Was there for yum cha and although very busy was run very smoothly. Almost no wait time, great variety and great price. Was also a hit with the kids. I suggest going with someone who has done yum cha before as it can be a little confusing for your first time.
Always serve up a great spread... even when you get there just before closing
I eat here at least twice a month when im home!! I love it! Golden fried Squid tentacles rock!!!
The food is delicious. The standard is very high, the surrounding scenery feels like being in Hong Kong
Delicious food and great service. Highly recommend.
Among Adelaide's better yum cha joints, but gets very busy and service suffers accordingly
Reliable offering of fast service and tasty Chinese food. Amongst the best dimsum/yumcha in Adelaide.
