Pretty awsome Zoo. The walking path is sloped up or down a hill most of the way. Good leg workout but I suggest sitting on the benches as often as possible to recharge. A lot of the zoo is shaded with trees, so chances of you getting sunburnt is not likely. Bring the family and have a fun family day out at the Zoo.
It was unusually chilly but a lot of the animals were out and about! Loved seeing them all! Great family place and can see them all in 1 day.
It's a great place to come with the kids.. The Titus train was a hit .. and the animals were basking.. and we got to feed giraffe.. over all great day
Great zoo. Always enjoy coming here and seeing all of the new and current animals. The zoo has so much potential and could use a lot of updates but still has a nice layout. Plenty of options for food a drinks. Many exhibits to go in and explore. The line was crazy long but wasnt more than a 10min wait. Plus they offer military discount!
We had an amazing day! The price was reasonable, too. We will definitely go back!
For the amount of people there today the place looked great. Very clean and well kept. Staff was very friendly. Animals were healthy and well kept. Only disappointments my family had, were because the otters and hippos were not out, but no reason to give less than a 5 star rating.
Good zoo, fun visit with the family. It wasn't too pricey and the animals seemed well kept. Not a lot of options for food or snacks but it was nicer than expected!
We live 4 hours away from this zoo but we were in the area and decided to try it. We live 30 minutes from a free zoo and this one is so much cooler!!! You can get so close to the animals and the habitats are very pretty. The entire park is beautiful, lots of creeks and waterfalls and very very stroller friendly. Feeding the giraffes was so cool! Worth every penny of the price of admission. I highly recommend.
Great place for the family! Spent 2 hours there walking around looking at all the amazing animals! They also have a playground, food, soda machines, and plenty of trees for shade. Definitely wear comfy shoes for the long walk, it has some uphill and downhill sloaps. Also has a small train rain towards the end $2 bucks a person. Bring 1 dollar bills to get tokens so you can feed the ducks.
What a fun adventurous Zoo. The Zoo takes about 2 to 3 hours to go through. I would go early when they open in warmer weather. The animals are more mobile and eating Breakfast outside when they first open also.The walkways are wide, and flow easy. The petting Zoo has a wide variety of animals to feed. The Giraffe feeding area was also a high light. The staff is very friendly and the exhibits are nicely placed. There are plenty of bathrooms and food options also. Thanks Dickerson Park Zoo for an over all great experience, and fun time.
