Not very helpful. Taken 14 weeks so far & still haven't moved. Still waiting for answers from over 2 weeks ago.

An efficient, stress free service provided which kept me up to date and informed throughout.

They helped me and my wife out to get our 1st property . The help was phenomenal and the advice was great . I would recommend this company.

Straightforward and friendly service. Staff were always available for any issues and their online portal for document signing and uploading was very convenient.

I was a first time buyer so had very little experience of the process and had plenty of questions. The team were always very patient with these and explained at every stage, right from the initial contact, through being assigned a team. There were times in the process when I needed someone to battle my position and felt I had just that. I was also impressed by the attention to detail, with observations made which could only have come from careful work rather than a sweeping look. Moreover the team were hot on conveyancing details. All of this was achieved with professionalism but also calm friendliness.

Despite issues with a survey dezrez advised me on the best ways to over come this and were great from day one. Would use them again in the future for sure

We were very happy with the service we received from Dezrez Legal. We were principally allocated Amy de'Boer Lloyd, who was fantastic from start to finish. We also had lots of dealings with Kate Packer who was equally brilliant. Communication from the team was great; we were kept in the loop regarding progress and our e-mails were responded to very promptly. When needed, the team would call us to talk us through things which gave us plenty of opportunity to ask questions if needed. We have used Dezrez twice now, once for our first house purchase in 2014 and again for our house sale and purchase in 2017. Each time their level of service has been exceptional. Jane, Stacey and the team were always quick to resolve any queries which we had and continually ensured that the process was as smooth as possible. Run away of this company. It's hard to summarize 4 months of frustration on a purchase process, but basically they knew less than me about surchage stamp duty (when you have a second property/land), they are incredible slow, they don't chase the parties of the process to get things done. if you read the review's here, I am sure I am not the only one complaining about the quality of the service. The problem is they deal with our dreams to buy a house and they treat the process very badly and without the attention it requires. I have had to move out from my house that I was renting because they said the process was ok to be completed and to exchange the contracts and at the last minute the bank did not approve the mortgage because of a clause in the flat contract. The problem is that they are responsible to make sure this things goes smooth and if the bank can't approve, that's fine, but they can't leave basic things for the end of the process and tell you that you are good to exchange the contracts if you are not. Terrible experience and I am never going to do business with them again

Dezrez were exceptionally supportive and knowledgeable. Throughout the selling process I could be certain they had my interests at heart. They always answered the phone and emails promptly. I could not have been more satisfied with their service.

Jane and Stacey were really helpful, informative and proactive. They kept me up to date with the progress of my purchase and I felt my property transaction was in very safe hands.
It is so easy and quick having all documents emailed across instead of relying on the postal service. Great service and I would highly recommend Dezrezlegal to my family and friends.

Great persistent solicitors. Sometimes alot of solicitor Jargon which is difficult to understand but they always answer the phone and explain in further detail when asked. Not very good at calling back or use of the portal, however they answer the phone at least! Unfortunately my house fell through, but I have decided to use Dezrez again. Would recommend! :)

Fantastic service. During the process of buying my first apartment I was constantly kept updated every step of the way, whilst receiving comprehensive information and guidance. Everyone I dealt with at Dezrezlegal made the experience comfortable, straight forward and always within timeframe. Something that really helped me was that they were flexible in linking in with my Father when I wasn't personally available due to work commitments. I would highly recommend.

Katie's team did a good job conveyancing for me. I am a foreigner and buying a house in UK is a bit more complicated for me than a British individual. Katie's team did it efficiently and I didn't have to worry about much. They respond emails within a day and if you call them, they are always available. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for good service and competitive price.

I used Dezrezlegal when selling my house, they were recommended by the agents when my house first went under offer. I was a little sceptical but went with it. I found the forms quite convenient to download, and relatively simple to complete, scan and upload again as the portal was quite easy to use (although I can imagine it being quite daunting if you're not used to working with computers).

The people were always friendly to deal with and I never failed to get through to someone who could handle my enquiry which was a major concern at the beginning.

My first sale fell through, and although I sold a second time, through a different agent, I continued to use Dezrez as I felt they had already done most of the work and had my documents ready. This was the correct decision as my successful second sale sailed through from our end, where other more conventional conveyancers down the chain failed I might add.

This would have been a 5 star review if it wasn't for one failing. On two occasions I was chased up to provide documents which were already uploaded and submitted to the portal days before. This was annoying and I provided them with constructive criticism, which to my surprise was well received. I would suggest that you e-mail a copy of the document to your contact in addition to uploading onto the portal to eliminate the chances of this happening to you.

All in all though it was a very pain free and for the most part efficient service. I will use them again as I feel they are very reasonably priced and efficient.

They are a perfect solution if you have a general understanding of buying/selling your house and a better than basic tech savvy ( i.e. understand the difference between upload and download).

Amazing service, used dezrez as conveyencers for a sale and purchase; they were fantastic from start to finish understanding and solving any issues we had. I was delighted with the service I received. I had all the information I needed and did not need to proactively ask as I was contacted at every point of the process. Kate Packer was amazing and kept me constantly informed and also gave me clear, consistent advice with regular updates on progress/ information needed. I cannot thank Kate enough for all her help she explained all the technical terms to me in laypersons language and made it easy for me to find the answers to queries raised. Absolutely terrible company. Avoid at all costs. They have no communication skills, you have to chase them on every task to make sure it's completed in a timely fashion! I had both parties in our small chain chasing constantly; to which Dezrez always stated they was waiting on the other solicitors.

Finally I stated we did not have a printer at home and that I work shift work; so could be away from work for a week at a time. As a result they said they would post everything to me. Sadly they forgot every time and I had to keep calling after spending a week waiting for documents to request they are sent in the post.

Thank you to Katie, Rachael and the team for all their work during my property purchase. I was a first-time buyer buying a vacant flat, the guys had the whole processed wrapped up in 8 weeks! I was well informed knew what I needed to do at each step of the process and did not have to keep chasing them which made my purchase a breeze. I really like the portal they have for uploading docs/ asking questions. Their fee was reasonable too and very close to their initial estimate.

I have used Dezrezlegal twice now, having been introduced to them by my estate agent, and both times I was impressed by their politeness and efficiency. At what was a stressful time for me, Katie Walters and her team led me through the legal process and explained what I needed to do, changed direction when necessary, and kept me informed of everything. I wouldn t go anywhere near this company; 5 months ago I accepted an offer on my home and the buyer appointed these clowns to deal with the purchase, my solicitor hasn t been able to get a timely response from them and we need to exchange contracts today as the chain is on the brink of collapse! What sort of solicitor advised their client to get a survey done when we re 3 months in??? The delays have been horrendous and still are! Maybe they would like to respond to this review but I won t hold my breathe!

I was selling a property and the conveyancing service provided by Dezrez Legal was efficient and straightforward. I live in London and the property was 70 miles away so the fact that I could keep up with what was going on through their online portal was great. No face to face meetings were needed which was a bonus for me; a lot was done through the portal and by email. Any queries I had were dealt with in a speedy and helpful manner. Overall a good experience with Dezrez Legal.

Very poor service, incredibly slow and utterly useless at communicating (until they want payment for something). When you do finally get through you are speaking to a junior team member who has no idea who you are or what you are asking. They made a very stressful process even more stressful. The online client portal is absolute rubbish, incredibly slow and not updated regularly. Countless times we were sent cover letters stating documents to sign were included......and they were not....so we had to chase them up. And even then we sent documents back to them (royal mail signed for) and they got back to us weeks later asking where they were or sending duplicate copies to send again.
They were recommended by our estate agents, but definitely NEVER use them again.

DezRez Legal were really helpful throughout the purchase of our first home. It was great knowing we could ask lots of question as first time buyers and that we were in safe hands. I would definitely recommend them and I'm sure we'll use them again.

Used Katie's team to sell my flat and purchase a house.
The selling of the flat was difficult as the management company were not proactive, however with Katie and her team chasing them, the enquires got answered in the end.
The house purchase was straight forward.

I do not understand how some solicitors still think it is okay to post out enquires and reply's, instead of emailing slowing down the process.
I was very happy that Dezrez emailed me updates and also sent paperwork for signing via email, which really helped hitting our completion date.

Will certainly recommend and use again if needed!

Was unfortunate to be on the other side of a conveyance with this firm. They did zero work for the first 7 weeks, then were deathly slow and unresponsive with both our solicitor and estate agent.
In a very small chain which should have been completed in a couple of months, but actually took almost 4 months from start to finish.
We received post for our buyers and they sent out wrong information to their buyers solicitor.
Overall awful experience.
One star is one too many.
Avoid like the plague.

Dezrez were absolutely useless they never Replied to our emails we had to keep calling them. Then on completion day they sent the money to the wrong account causing a hell of a lot of delay and stress.

Many thanks to the Katie and the team at Dezrezlegal for the fantastic job they have done during the sale of our property. A courteous and professional service and a team prepared to go the extra mile to ensure everything is correct and completed to the customers satisfaction.

So it took THREE MONTHS for Katie at DezRez to realise that DezRez are not on the list of approved solicitors, for the building society of the person buying our house...

3 MONTHS!

I was upset that they sat on paperwork for 3 weeks from 29th November 2018 to the end of the year but now I have learnt that our buyer cannot even use them - and I am about to explode in a fit of rage.

I do see this as a blessing in disguise - if DezRez were this useless and did this little work, after 3 months, then the completion date would probably be around the time I retire in 30 years.

The stress from all this is going to put me in an early grave.

I cannot stress enough how much better off you would be dealing with any other company....

I am not personally dealing with Dezrez, the person buying our house is.

Towards the end of the year I learnt that Katie has let our paperwork sit in her inbox for 3 weeks - and has done nothing with it.

Every single day she procrastinates is costing me money. This is simply not acceptable.

1) I have two options - sit and wait forever, in the hope that she does something, at some point (not likely).

2) Pull out - and insist that the next buyer does not use Dezrez.

I really hope I have the patience to wait for the first option

Fantastic solicitors- REFRESHING! No more solicitors hiding behind their secretaries or not being available. The client Portal is a great idea, documents can be sent via email and you get constant alerts on the progress. Sold and Completed on a leasehold flat in 8 weeks - I assure you that is unheard of normally for Leasehold! Outstanding Thank you again

Hated every second of dealing with them, and they just sent me a bill A YEAR later for a remortgage that never happened. What a joke. Very organised guys - well done.

I employed Dezrezlegal for my first flat purchase. Four months down the line without any chain I am still waiting for the solicitor to finish the transaction. The service has been extremely slow. It takes a week to turn around responses from the vendor's solicitor, 24 hours (so they say) to answer an email and do not expect them to return your call and explain things. They will not follow up on made commitments to post you a document they forgot on the first place. I would not recommend if you are looking for a good service and a quick transaction. They will never do anything quicker than required by their set timelines. Please choose some other firm is my advice.

I was hesitant about using an online conveyancing service rather than a local solicitor, but am so please that we decided to use Dez Rez Legal. They were very efficient and I was surprised how quickly everything was dealt with and processed (around 6 weeks from the start of the process to exchange). Stacey in particular was fantastic.

Dear Laura Burkinshaw and Laura Liddell: Apologies to write this to you but your guys have left no choice to me apart from reaching you.
To cut short the story, you opened my case in February 2017 and still going on. Despite my several requests (85 times calls and 25 times email) the file is still pending. I have been given false information and your guys made fake promises result of which we missed dead lines for more than 4 times now. Days passed by, Weeks passed by and months passed by, but still the file is pending. Your guys might be doing a quality work but your communications and email turn arrounds are taking enormous amount of time which are giving us loads of stress and affecting our health. Buying a home is a dream for every one, but with the way your guys working, you are making it difficult for me to Dream my Dream. I am losing trust in your guys work. The seller has now put a dead line until Wednesday 21st June, if the exchange does not happen by then, they want to cancel our deal and put the house back onto market. You have to understand, for liaising with your guys for last 4 months, it would be a highly disappointment if the seller cancel the deal. As mentioned earlier, your guys might be doing quality work and waiting for all required information, but if they had been proactive, I strongly feel that the deal should have completed at least 1 month ago. I work for one of the emergency services in one of the country's busiest organisations. It's proving very difficult for me to take a break at work, come out of my desk, chose a location and call your guys to ask for an update. What annoys me is "WHAT COULD BE MORE IMPORTANT TO YOU RATHER TO DEAL WITH A HOUSE WHEN THE CLIENT IS CALLING YOU EVERY DAY AND REQUESTING YOU TO FINISH THE DEAL?"
Also I have been told that I was calling your guys for many times, wasting their time, by which they cannot proceed to work further on my file. My question is : if there is any progress in my file, why would I call you? Iam not job less person to keep calling you all the time. Am a full time employee and very busy.
I have never been offended like that before, saying am wasting your time but in fact you should think if have called you for not finishing the deal for 80 times so far, who is wasting whose time here ?
Finally to all the viewers : Think twice and thrice before you go to Dezrez Legal. There may be some reliable and fast acting staff at Dezrez, but you must be lucky to get those staff on your file. Nearly 15 of my colleagues knew you are dealing with my file and dragging, Iam sure neither of them would recommend your team to any of their friends and family. You must be busy with other files, but as a customer, I don't care, I need you to prioritize my file and put your skills and expertise to complete the deal before the sellers set target date, i.e, Wednesday 21st June 2017. Your team must be aware that, by just sending an email to the vendors, and thinking they have made some progress for that day, then that is not sufficient. You cannot work at the same pace, at the beginning when you opened the file and when you are close to the target date. You must be very very active when the dead line is so close. Hope you understand our feelings and emotions and the stress we are going through.
Finally, I would respectfully request you both, Laura Burkinshaw and Laura Liddell, kindly look into my file and take necessary steps to speed up the process and close the deal in the most appropriate way so that there won't be any legal issues in the future.
I apologize if I had hurt anyones feelings here, but you, Dezrez , should understand customers emotions.
