Despite Corona, we had a magical evening. The theater has lost none of its charm. We are always very happy to be here. The evening with the Comedian Harmonists was great. The hygiene concept was implemented very well and we felt comfortable and safe.

Corona unfortunately canceled my opera subscription (opera and ballet). But a lot is possible in Duisburg ... Acting in the large hall with 100 guests Antigone. A great production with very good artists. And now at City-Vinum another wine enjoyment. Wonderful

The Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Duisburg was built in 1912, destroyed in the war and reopened on October 1, 1950 after reconstruction.
With its six Ionic columns, the imposing building in brilliant white reminds of the entrances of ancient temples.
With 80 to 100 performances a year, there is something for everyone.
The box office is in the same building. Here you can get detailed advice.

The opera house is really nice, just the seats in the balcony are a bit uncomfortable and aisles a bit too narrow. The productions so far during my numerous visits were of a really high standard, tickets also very reasonably priced, staff friendly and helpful.
