I love Dermatology & Laser of Del Mar! Dr Atkins and her staff are exceptional at what they do and how they care for their patients. I recommend Dr Atkins to all my friends, family and co-workers.

Dr. Atkin and her staff are incredible! From the moment I walk in and greeted with a big smile from Noni and the front desk staff, to the staff that takes care of all I need prior to my treatment, to Dr. Atkins professional and gentle way, I know I am in the best hands! They made sure I was very comfortable prior to my treatment and kept me relaxed throughout. They are all extremely competent and go above and beyond! And, of equal importance, the results are FANTASTIC!

I've been a patient of Dr. Atkin for over 15 years and she and her office staff are wonderful. I see her for both medical and cosmetic dermatology issues and she is very competent and caring. Wouldn't consider seeing any other dermatologist.

Horrible facility and the biggest prima donnas you ll ever have the displeasure of working with. I went to this facility for cellulite and skin tightening treatment on my legs. I had previously used The Velashape machine at a different facility and had good results. I didn t want to fork out the equivalent of $2,500 or so for six treatments for the two areas the aesthetician recommended so we agreed to do three initial treatments with the idea that I could do more if needed. Since I had completed Velashape just a few months ago I was hoping that three treamtments might cover me, but was also totally receptive to additional treatments if necessary. However, after the three treatments I contacted them (while I was on vacation) to notify them that I probably would need more treatments given that I was unhappy with the results of the three. OMG, in a nutshell this is how the office manager, Doctors Atkins and the aesthetician reacted: My comment meant I was unhappy with the aesthetician who treated me, that I had criticized her work and therefore the aesthetician was refusing to complete any more treatments on me because I couldn t be happy as a client and they all pride themself in their work . Are you kidding me?! I was completed shocked. Doctor Atkins actually supports this nonsense reaction.

Initially the aesthetician was offering to complete more work on me, which I agreed to in writing and she also initially offered to help schedule my appointments, which I also agreed to and asked her whether she had my regular day and time available in her schedule. Then I received no response to my email. No return phone call either. It was so bizarre. When I called and spoke with her directly she relayed to me (for the first time) that she was refusing to work with me. I explained to her I was not criticizing her work and I realize I need more treatments to obtain my results and that when I contacted them I fully expected they would recommend additional treatments, but she had already set it in motion amongst her coworkers and doctor that I am somehow a person that is impossible to please, even though when you ready our email communication in no way do you get that impression from my response. I find it odd that a facility would take your $1,500 and only partially treat you. I tried to talk with this facility and their reaction is so mind boggling. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE QUACKS. How they got themself to boycott me and behave so unprofessionally I am still baffled by. I am now going to their competitor Del Mar Cosmetic Center. They have both a cellulite machine and a skin tightening machine. Try Del Mar Cosmetic Center first before wasting your money at this facility.

Dr Atkin is a wonderful dermatologist. She and her office staff make you feel like you are the most important patient they have. They offer a variety of services from facials to lasers to basic dermatology. Every visit for me has been a great experience and I have been a patient for a very long time.

I've been coming here on and off for about 6 years. I dont have insurance and they have always went above and beyond to work with me on pricing and payment plans (it's totally worth the money). I came in with horriable cystic acne(large pea sizes cysts all over my face), Dark spots and very deep red acne scars. After 3smooth beam treatments, 2acne facials and a few peels my skin looked and felt amazing! It stayed clear for about 3 years with NO cysts! If you have acne and don't want to take Accutane, this is the place to come to clear up acne AND scars.

This is the first time I give a bad review, but I feel like I have to after being scammed by this place. I got Thermage in my belly and legs, spending $7000 and had no results at all. They tried to convince me that there were some results arguing with pictures when I was showing them my skin with no changes. They did not give me my money back and I felt like I have been robbed. They for sure lost a client and I hope they never offer this treatment again to anyone! It was a bad experience, more than anything seeing how, because they would not give me my money back, they were treating me like I was the blind one.

You simply cannot find a better Dermatologist than Dr. Deborah H. Atkin. I could take your time and rave in more detail, but really, let's not waste time. Dr. Atkin is primo supremo!!! She helped my ex-husband identify and diagnose skin cancer on his arm--for something so important--go to someone who knows their field inside and out.

I have been a patient of Dr. Atkins for at least 8 years. I have always appreciated her professionalism. Last time I was in I was seen by a Physician Assistant, as I had done a couple other times, although not the same PA. I found this last experience upsetting. The PA was snippy, for lack of a better word, she told me she had to biopsy a spot on my leg, next thing I know she had a razor cutting off skin, hurt like hell, when I said something she dismissed it and said we were almost finished. I will only see Dr. Atkins from this point forward, not a PA.

I went to see Dr. Atkin for a body contouring consultation. There are so many nonsurgical fat reducing technologies, I didn't know what to ask for at first - but that was ok!

Dr. Atkin listened to what I thought my problem areas were and went from there. She is so kind, I was very comfortable talking to her. Not only did she come up with a comprehensive treatment plan, she explained how each technology worked and why she thought that was the best solution for each area.

These nonsurgical treatments often work best with more than one session, so I am looking forward to my follow up appointments.
