We signed a lease for an apartment in Boston and the landlord requested we pay the deposit via Deposify. We set up an account and linked it to a checking account and the link was confirmed. But after several rejected attempts to fund the deposit via ACH (with a high $49 fee for a transaction that banks do not charge anything for), I contacted customer service. The customer service phone and chat contacts do not work, the only way to reach them is by email. The first response I got from them took a week and it said, "we can't find your account". After a few more email exchanges, they told me ACH isn't working now, and we need to use a credit or debt card. The fee for that? $110!

This is an overpriced service with poor customer service. It seems like it's designed to simplify things for landlords at the expense of tenants.
