Department of Environmental Protection, the City of New York Review

This is perhaps the WORST agency in the city, I have personally called many times in reference to asbestos critical violations and after giving me the runaround, when the inspectors went to the job sites, shaked hands with supervisors and leave without going in containments, it's a shame how unskilled untrained and irresponsible people are inspectors. This agency should let the US EPA CID take over.

I've contacted them numerous times to resolve a noise issue. Seems like those responsible for handling noise complaints are quite incompetent. I've even contacted the DEP commissioner via email but wasn't able to resolve a chronic noise pollution issue.

They caused me fights with my tenant, which ended up in lost rent for 10 months, and the costly lengthy eviction, after the tenant refused to allow them inside the house. Because they wanted to inspect the meter !

They started sending massive (estimated) monthly bills until we got the tenant out and they got into the property.

There was nothing wrong and they had no business forcing their way into my private property.

Everyone work hard there to Run NYC smoothly.
