tried 4 times to contact them with a simple question. Transferred 4 times to child protection services who were unable to answer the phone. Brilliant.

Nice building small square to relax at lunch needs more benches
So, after a big effort from families, we managed to convince the Department of Education to put in place a Summer Provision for kids with complex needs.
So what did the department do: they announced their decision of doing and then leave schools (and children) without not even a draft of guidelines on how to run the service. Their guidelines will be communicated to the schools on the 29th of June, for a programme starting in July, forcing many schools to decide not to run the programme, since they are not even sure if they can. My son school among them, St.Joseph's special School in Galway.
Families are heartbroken, our kids are ghosts, and our government doesn't give a damn about them. And the schools will take the blame.
Shame, shame, shame
