Great school to learn Spanish. Very friendly and helpful teachers. Nice location.

I really liked Delta Language School.

1) There is a large selection of different courses.
There is the possibility to choose one-to-one or group lessons and cultural lessons are also offered. My tip: if you really want to improve your Spanish, choose one-to-one lessons. Two hours a day plus homework are sufficient.

2) There is a cinema!
If you're interested in movies, you've come to the right place. The school has a small cinema. There is a wide range of films available and teachers ensure that subtitles are available in Spanish. My tip: watch several films in Spanish with subtitles and your ability to understand spoken Spanish will improve quickly.

3) Good location in the center of the city.
The language school is located in the middle of the city. From here you can get anywhere quickly in just a few minutes. Restaurants, museums and other sights are within walking distance. The Isla de Magdalena, Playa Sardinero, and the central library can be reached in less than 10 minutes by bus. My tip: Get a bus card, then each trip costs only 1 EUR.

4) The line will help you.
The management is very open to your questions and requests. The school is networked with various organizers in the city. So ask if they can mediate you. If you have problems, they will help you, especially if you have a problem with your host family.

I would go to the Delta Language School in Santander again and I hope you have a good time there too and learn a lot of Spanish.

It was a great pleasure to me to visit Delta Language School during my 2 weeks learning Spanish in Santander. I enjoyed the course very much and can absolutely recommend this school.
The teachers and the organization are very welcoming, charming and polite. The intensity of the lessons was adapted to my needs so that I could make the optimal progress.
Additionally I really enjoyed it to learn more about culture and food in addition to the lessons, like the history of Don Quijote and how to make Spanish tortillas :)

Wonderful school! The teachers I had were highly attentive and motivated. The staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home in Santander, organising social activities outside of school and suggesting lots of ways in which you can improve your language and knowledge of the culture. The host family I stayed with provided me with a great way to practice Spanish outside of class. I greatly improved my grammar and confidence when speaking Spanish in just a few weeks. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place!

I completed a two-week course in September 2019 and was very satisfied with the school. The lessons are well structured and adapted to the individual needs of the students. The teaching staff is friendly, patient and helpful. Every question is taken seriously and answered conscientiously. The school is centrally located, the center within a few minutes walking distance. The school has several classrooms, which are spacious, air conditioned and well lit. Furthermore, there is a library with numerous literary works and textbooks, which can also be borrowed. There is also a large selection of films that can be watched in the in-house cinema. All rooms are clean and stylish. The atmosphere in the school is pleasant and relaxed. I can only recommend this school and give the maximum number of stars and in addition an extra ! Muchisimas gracias y hasta pronto!

Lovely small language school in the center on Santander.
On day 1 I was a complete beginner and spoke no Spanish at all.
Antonio and Estella were great teachers both very friendly and patient.
I had individual classes for the first 2 weeks of my stay because the language was quite quiet. However, I still had the change to practice Spanish with the lovely girls in the more advanced class.
I stayed in the apartment which offered by the school. The apartment was lovely and has a fabulous big balcony with a beautiful view of the sea and mountains.

It was a fabulous two weeks I spent in Delta language school. I was a very beginer before started course in Delta. After two weeks I am able to understand much more and have more courage and power to express myself in spanish. Teachers were very flexible - easily adopted to different levels of spanish , knows english so for beginners it is a big adventage. During classes teachers combine gramma and conversation. It was a perferct balance which gave me strong basis and motivation to move forward with my spanish. Delta school was not only focusing on learning language but also was showing variety of culture, tradition and habits, all those big - small things which make Spain so intense and colorful. Last but not least in Delta school you can spend some of your time in amazing library. It is very stylish with thousand of books and films. I was spending there time after classes, looking over photography albums to plan weekends in santander or to learn. The another thing that impressed me was small cinema inside the Delta school. It is a part of education , you can familiarized with spanish movie and after show you are encourage to share your opinion and discuss. To summ up I was amazed with profesional and what is most important for me the open heart and mind of teachers. I encourage everyone to become a part of Delta school family and discover language and spanish culture with Delta language school in Santander.

I studied two weeks at the Delta Language School in Santander, and I can say that it turned out to be exactly the experience I was looking for: there was nothing, neither in the quality of the teaching, nor in the organization, nor in the welcome and availability of the staff, who made me regret my choice.

Students are grouped according to the level of knowledge of the language, the topics covered are numerous, the study of grammar is alternated with conversation parts for a more effective result. The school is small and delightful, located in the city center, has several classrooms and a library where I was able to borrow some books; but the real wonder is the small, adorable cinema inside the school, where films are organized in the language, with extreme flexibility on the basis of the students' requests.

I studied Spanish here for two weeks in June. The experience was really good overall! I have studied in the past in other parts of Spain, but here for the first time, I was able to study without stress and tension! Spoken Spanish at school and in Santander is easy to understand and clear.

Compared to civic colleges, the pace was fast and there was a lot of topics covered, but teachers went through the topics patiently and thoroughly. The teachers were relaxed and very nice. The school is small so you will be greeted in person and all your questions will be answered thoroughly. In addition to teaching Spanish, I received a lot of Travel Tips and historical background information about the pilgrimage I started after school.

The school also has a cinema where we watched a Spanish film one night. I recommend this school to everyone, regardless of their starting level! Many thanks to the whole team!

Wonderful experience at Delta! Arrived at Santander not knowing a word of Spanish ...Yikes! By the first month I was speaking well enough to hold up simple conversation. I had an exceptional experience at Delta, spent a lot of time with our "family" and met so many people form so many places! I spent nine months at Delta and am now fluent in Spanish. By my eighth month Delta prepared me for the advanced level exams of the Spanish language and I am now studying fluently in Castellano at a University in the North of Spain thanks to them! Wouldn't have asked for a better experience!

I need to be acquire a working knowledge of Spanish for professional reasons. Delta Language School provides a perfect mix of group classes combined with one-to-one classes tailored to my individual needs. Each day i have five hours of classes, with the possibility to use the school's cinema in the evening as well. All of this can be conducted in line with COVID19 requirements due to the excellent facilities in the school. The teaching staff are experienced and patient - perfect for someone like me who is serious about learning the language. I learned so much last year that I came back for another two weeks in 2020. I made the right decision.

I LOVE THIS SCHOOL! I enrolled here for two weeks and had so much fun, I extended my trip for the rest of the summer. In the last five years I have returned two times. The teachers are friendly and welcoming and it is a good mix of instruction, conversation, and social activities. I travelled to Spain alone but by the time I left I felt I had made a home away from home and great friends. The apartment to rent is fantastic with a beautiful view of the city and singing birds outside. I can't wait to go back, the city and the school will always have a special place in my heart. The Spanish course at Delta language school that I attended this summer was excellent. Communication, organization, teachers, space, conditions, teaching process and other students, it was all great. In two weeks, a total of 40 hours of teaching, when I started as a complete beginner, I learned the basics of grammar and of course the basic vocabulary, with which I was enough to continue my Spanish trip (another 3 weeks). It's a pity that I could only complete 2 weeks, but I believe that if I return to Santander for a longer period, my travels will lead again to Delta Language School. The language school Delta Language School has over 40 years of experience teaching Spanish to foreigners. I attended this school for seven months and everything was fantastic. I've made new friends of different nationalities, I can communicate well in Spanish, both spoken and written, and now I feel safe in any Spanish-speaking community, both in everyday life and when using my job-specific vocabulary that I learned at school using English. The curriculum and professional teaching staff are top notch and thanks to them I got to know the culture and customs of Spain well. Optionally, the student can supplement his cultural knowledge of Spain by using the remarkable library in the school or by visiting the perfectly equipped cinema in the school where you can watch films in Spanish.

The Cantabria region is a beautiful place where you can practice countless social and sporting activities, and one of the best places to surf (Somo Beach - which is also the birthplace of surfing in Spain). In addition, Santander is the only city in Spain with a seaport that speaks pure Spanish (Castilian), which greatly facilitates rapid progress. I recommend Delta to anyone who wants to learn Spanish with a high methodological level in a first class school.

Very disappointed with the professionalism at the school. Paid for 9 months of group classes was only able to attend 6 months. She refused to give me a refund for the other 3 months. My classes that i paid for were group but half of my six months i was alone, you could tell the teachers didn't know what to do with me towards the end

I had a good time in the language school and learned a lot. The teachers are competent and friendly and very dedicated. There is the possibility of watching films in a small cinema (!) In the language school and practically expanding your Spanish. The city also has a lot to offer. Five stars!

I chose Delta Language School for a week of intensive training for Spanish Language teachers. It was excellent, especially the in-depth analysis of the latest teaching methods and the brilliant approach to methodology and the didactic, giving relative value to the practical and integrative use of new technologies.
The course focused on the real essence of teaching the Spanish language, using the newest technologies and preserving the important place that traditional methods deserve. Many thanks to the Delta management team for their initiatives. I was inspired and fascinated!

My experience from studying at Delta Language was and remains unique. The environment was very hospitable, the teachers well trained and always willing to answer any questions. I am extremely happy to have chosen the Delta Language School to improve my Spanish skills while enjoying my holidays in Santander. The organization of the stay on the part of the school and the engagement of the teachers has from start to finish been impeccable and exceeded my expectations.

I accepted the offer of being hosted by a family, which has also been a great experience. Both the family and the community at school gave me very much the feeling of being at home and part of a lovely family.

Regarding the lessons, not only has the teaching been perfectly tailored to the language needs of the students but also contentwise I found them very interesting. For that reason, to me it rather felt like meeting with great people and discussing interesting topics in Spanish instead of going to school in the common sense of the word.

The atmosphere at school was friendly, cheerful and even though sophisticated still relaxed. A special highlight was the offer to watch Spanish movies in the school s own little cinema, which I happily did several times during my stay. All this together gave me the feeling of being at the right time at the right place. I am very thankful for this experience and the memories that I will keep, and I will hopefully be able to return soon.

I had a great two weeks at this language school in Santander. They were very helpful when I got in touch to organise a course and asked for accommodation. The room they provided me with was in a great flat with views of the bay and Carmen was able to let me in even though I arrived at midnight. Classes were enjoyable. There is also a very professional cinema in the school, so I was able to do additional practice by watching Spanish films in the afternoons. One of the teachers, Antonio, is a big film fan and was happy to put on films at more or less any time. There were also a range of good activities arranaged by the schools such as surfing on the beach at Somo.

Great school to learn Spanish from scratch! :) I studied Spanish for 2 months in the summer. Since I live here now, I can understand what people are saying or asking. Great teachers :) I got to meet a lot of people and make new friends :)

Learning Spanish at Delta Language School is an incredible experience! Having been to this school for the first time, I liked the organization of the educational process, the friendly atmosphere and the attitude of the teaching staff towards the students so much that I did not hesitate to return to the Delta Language School for a longer Spanish course, which lasted 5 months. I also took the preparation for the DELE exam, which I passed thanks to my diligence and excellent teachers Antonio and Estela, as well as Carmen, who was always there to help in any situation that arose. I am a student from China and an absolute beginner in Spanish. Delta s friendly and peaceful atmosphere attracted me to join the study, and Mr. Antonio s teaching method was fun and effective, which made my study very easy. I really like the library here. The teacher has many versions of "Don Quixote" and various humanities books. While learning Spanish, I can also experience the strong Spanish culture and the history of Spanish humanities and art. After one month of study, I can use Spanish to deal with daily life. I am very fortunate to learn to use this beautiful language in Delta. I myself have not taken a course in the language school. Through friends of mine who did that and were enthusiastic, I became aware of this school. I met the teacher Antonio, who was very friendly and competent. The premises of the language school are charming and there is even a small cinema room built in which I also had the opportunity with my friends and Antonio films in Spanish to watch and practice Spanish. A very warm hospitality!

A fantastic environment to nurture your Spanish. Delta provided me with a comprehensive package of improver lessons on two separate occasions in the off season. Both included local accommodation which was tailored to my needs, allowing me to practice after classes. They really care about you and your development and I felt part of the family after a few days. After the second, Delta gave me enough to go onto a volunteer opportunity elsewhere. I went to this school for the first time in 2012, I needed to pass an exam in Italy which I obviously passed and I returned in November 2019 to refresh my Spanish. I found the usual warm welcome and the friendliness and availability of the professors. A school where teachers are prepared, follow you and give you various possibilities to learn Spanish, they also have a small in-house cinema for films in the language. In addition, Santander is a beautiful city, with dreamy beaches that give you the chance to visit very interesting places that can be easily reached by bus or train. I stayed for 5 weeks in this school where I could learn as much Spanish as the culture that surrounds it. The rhythm was sustained 4 hours a day, which allows a total immersion.
And after all that, I have a twinge in my heart to leave her.
The atmosphere is warm and the teachers extra-ordinary.
More than a school is meetings that I will keep for life. Greetings to all the team and thank you to the secretary who to realize for our departure the best potato tortilla that I could taste in all Spain.

The school is in the beautiful city of Santander. In charge of history you can find the king's summer castle and other buildings, museums and many sports activities. The location is ideal for surfing, where I could take advantage of their partnership with a surf school to rent equipment at low cost. Nature is ubiquitous and if you prefer to walk you will not be lacking inspiration to wear your shoes.

This school has a lot to offer. Very good, competent lessons and very friendly staff. You can even watch Spanish films with subtitles in your own small cinema to improve your Spanish. If you have any questions, you get answers very quickly and registration went smoothly. Overall, the school is highly recommended and the city of Santander also has a lot to offer.

I left the low winter temperatures of Washington DC to travel to Europe for a month and for two weeks I have been living in Santander, in possibly the most beautiful region of Spain with its fantastic landscapes, so diverse with the green of its mountains and the blue of the Atlantic Sea. The people are polite, friendly and speak a pure and distortion-free Spanish (Castilian) that any foreigner can easily understand in a conversation.
After 20 years have passed since my first time in Santander, I returned to Delta Language School, my Spanish school when I was young, in order to update the language and increase my level of Spanish vocabulary and speech. I must point out that despite the time that has passed, all staff continue to maintain their professionalism and their desire to improve: teachers remain friendly, patient and helpful, willing to explain in depth any question that arises. They use the most advanced methodology to learn the language quickly and easily. Outside of the usual class schedule there are even more social and cultural activities. There are activities to please each and every student in their free time. Their wonderful library has grown with more books dedicated to the knowledge of Spanish customs, history and culture. In their library you can read or borrow the masterpieces of the great writers of Spanish and Hispano-American literature and they even have a private cinema within the school. They use their private cinema to share some of the films of Spain with the students.The combination of library, audio visual experience and the wonderful city outside provides a lovely environment to learn Spanish.
They have maintained their level of excellence and it is the best school I know to learn to speak Spanish perfectly. I have spent weeks in many other Spanish schools in Spain and I can say that Delta is light years ahead of the rest. It is the most pleasant place to stay and learn and enjoy the Spanish culture. Whenever I have the opportunity, I recommend Delta and Santander to anyone interested in learning Spanish and haveing a wonderful experience in Spain. In addition to learning the language and having fun, you will meet future friends of all nationalities.
I am very happy because during these two weeks I have more confidence when speaking Spanish and now my thoughts, comprehension and speech are so much easier.

Santander, a beautiful magical place, where I keep coming back to it since 2001.

It is my 5th time to Santander since 2001, as I keep coming back to Delta Language School. it is the place where you could keep learning and enhancing your language skills and cultural experience by interacting with the locals!

The school is keen to connect the student to the community, where students are constantly encouraged to participate in activities to enhance their language skills. For example, I joined the Hiking, trekking club with the local where I only had to speak Spanish with them. I also took some surfing classes, Cultural trips to villages around Cantabria. The Delta Language School experience made a difference and is the reason why I keep coming back to this beautiful city mainly in the summertime, lots of festivals happening during that time. And I continue to come back to revive my Spanish.

We appreciate the city, the activities (dinner and Spanish dinner) the facilities, the school, its location, the atmosphere. It is worth highlighting the rigorous professionalism of the team, the seriousness of the intellectual commitment towards the students with the remarkable and impressive library and `` the icing on the cake '' the movie jeweler inside the school that gave it a charm from another era.

Most of all, we were moved by the deep humanity, genuine interest in students, wisdom and intellectual refinement of teachers.

I sincerely recommend Delta Language School as a place to learn Spanish for both advanced and beginners.

I chose the school based both on the opinions of previous students, but also on the basis of communication with the school and the offer received. It is worth mentioning that I was looking for the course during the difficult time of the coronavirus pandemic (July 2020) and the DLS management showed great flexibility to start the course even for a smaller number of people, despite the uncertainty about the number of applicants - it was very fair and I sincerely appreciate it because it allowed us plan your arrival in Santander without the risk of the course being canceled.

Speaking of Santander itself - it is worth considering that in Cantabria you speak pure Spanish (Castilian), which is of fundamental importance for the entire learning process, because outside school, exactly this language is spoken, and not, for example, in Barcelona - Castilian at school but in the streets in Catalan ...

Additionally, DLS helps and organizes accommodation in Santander for the duration of the course. We got the opportunity to rent their fantastic, fully equipped apartment, in a great location and with a great view! It is also possible to rent a room with a Spanish family through the school, also with the option of boarding, which seems to be the best solution for individual students.

Well, but the most important thing in every school is the staff - people with real passion and many years of experience work at DLS, you can see that they really WANT and KNOW how to conduct classes so that they are as productive as possible. The scope of activities and materials is also constantly modified and adapted to the needs / skills of students. Many thanks for the progress we have made!

The staff is certainly the greatest value of this school, but I would also like to draw your attention to the unusual "additions" that I had no idea about when buying the course and were an amazing surprise for me ... and a collection of tourist and sightseeing albums about Santander, Cantabria and other regions of Spain. You can spend hours there or just borrow books from home. However, the second, total surprise and an absolute "icing on the cake" is ... a small cinema in the school building! And it is a real CINEMA, although only for a dozen people, with a drop in the height of the audience, with cinema seats, with a sound system that every network cinema can envy, and with a collection of several hundred films, both Spanish and foreign, in original or with dubbed, with or without subtitles in different languages. The perfect complement to the learning process and contact with language and culture - AWESOME!

There is nothing else for me to do but to congratulate the creators of this place, sincerely recommend Delta Language School to the readers of this opinion, and plan the next visit myself :)

Nice, small school with a lot of personality. I stayed 5 weeks. Small groups (most of the times I was in groups of 2-4 people) which helped a lot to improve. The teachers are all very different but that is what makes it interesting, it is not getting boring. Very good organization of everything (incl. discount at a surf school), and the the apartment I rent through the school was awesome, very nice view on the bay. Santander itself is also an interesting city with a good atmosphere! Would go there again!

So this was my first experience in a language school and I really think this is the only one I would ever use. Everyone was so welcoming and kind! They provide awesome extra curricular events such as movie nights and after only one month I am leaving with an ability to speak and understand Spanish, I can t believe it! It was so accommodating, I decided to extend my course which was no problem too. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants to learn Spanish and I will certainly be returning!

One of the best Spanish language schools I have attended! After making the move to Santander, leaving our London life behind, I really found a home away from home with this school. They really care about their students progression and go out of their way for you to feel a part of their school community. I especially enjoyed the morning conversation classes with Antonio, a true professional. Estela consistently worked hard to help me with my grammar and pronunciation, I have a lot to thank her for. This summer (despite the epidemic), I spent four weeks in Santander to learn the language better and get to know the culture and the people better.
Although unfortunately few students came to school because of the virus, I was still able to meet great people and take very intensive classes where I could learn a lot about both Spanish culture and language. One week I also got a one-person DELE B2 preparation, which makes it easier for me to pass the exam. :)
The school even provided me with surfing lessons as part of the extracultural week, which remains an unforgettable experience, not to mention the school s own cinema and library, where one can easily absorb language and culture without effort.
All in all, I highly recommend trying out the school in beautiful and interesting Santander, where I could practice real Castilian Spanish even at my place of residence, with a local family.
