Hotel is very clean and staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay if you are going to the Saddledome. C-train close by
Every single room has a very short ceiling but amazing staff who are willing to help
We went there looking for rooms for our bridal party in July. They were very professional and gave us great rates
The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, with great options and service. My room was beautiful and well looked after, as was the pool. I felt like the staff went above and beyond to make my experience better, and they even gave me personalized recommendations for things to do while in Calgary. I would reccomend this hotel to my friends and family.
Room was nice and spacious. Sheets and pillow were clean. Free internet. Lots of option on tv. Close to mall and restaurants. Tea and coffee included in the room. Bar downstairs closed at 11PM :(
Room was clean and modern. Staff was friendly, would recommend to colleagues working in the area
Banquet room was alright. Nothing fabulous. Food was very good. Nice selection with lots of veggie dishes. Cake pops for dessert were absolutely delicious. Fabulous touch!!
Great place. Indoor pool and probably the friendliest hotel staff I've encountered.
Rooms were so hot my wife's lipstick kept melting. This was with thermostat turned off. Windows do not open, so bring a fan if you plan on staying here in the winter.
I have stayed here before and normally everything is fantastic. This time the bed and pillows were so soft there was no support. Breakfast was great and the staff were kind and helpful.
This is a very nice and clean hotel. Staff is friendly.
No surprises. Room was clean and updated, wifi nice and fast. Service was polite and efficient; parking was easy. I didn't try the food not did I use the waterslide so cannot comment on those.
I was there for some drinks. The place looks nice inside but the liquor was cheap not worth what you pay for it. The service was really slow but friendly. I wait 25 minutes after asking for my bill and then the bill was wrong and I had to wait another 10 minutes for the new bill. I didn't eat here but the food looked good.
We were there for 1.5 days of meetings during a VERY busy time for the hotel, but their staff was very friendly, helpful and professional - thanks to all!
So clean and great food, so accommodating to anything you need.
I have used the Delta for many corporate functions - it's a good venue and it's nice to get out of downtown sometimes.
The pool was used for swimming lessons for non-hotel guests. Our poolside rooms were subjected to crying kids, toddlers in diapers, instructors, and parents overtaking the pool and jacuzzi in the evenings.
Disgusting sanitation and unnacceptable hotel management.
Hotel was fine, Expedia messed up my booking with this place and delta doesn't do refunds for any reason, be careful dealing with delta
The staff there are amazing people and I can't wait for my next stay
Staff is always very accommodating, and the rooms and service are outstanding! Great location, close to restaurants and amenities.
Nice atmosphere, good little pool and hot tub for the kids
Wonderful staff, food and the mattresses are comfortable.
Started receiving unwanted, unsolicited spam phone calls from Marriot Hotels. Blocked a few of the numbers they call from but they still keep coming. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT A BUSSINESS THAT HARRASES ME!!
We booked an event for 50 people with under two weeks notice and they were great. The food was great.
We've been for brunch several times. Often taking a single table but also with 20 people.
We arrived after a long journey, excited to get to our room and relax and take a load off. However, when we got in the room we quickly realized that there were NO CHOCOLATE MINTS on the PILLOWS. None!
Friendly helpful staff, nice accommodation, not trying extra hard to sell me "bonus items", and free wifi
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Stay was excellent. Front desk team and Shane at executive lounge were any nice. I will certainly stay at this hotel during next trip.
Had an office christmas party at the hotel. Catering staff were friendly and attentive and made the evening enjoyable.
We really enjoyed our stay. The concierge was very kind and helpful, in addition to the hotel staff being friendly. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the amenities were great.
If possible, ask the event planner which building you have to be at; getting between the atrium building and the other can be a bit of a hassle.
The staff are always courteous and helpful, and so many were full of Christmas spirit!
The Sunday brunch had less selection than usual, for a high price.
Not sure where delta ranks in the Marriott hierarchy. It's ok. I have a renovated room and the renovations are underwhelming. The halls are still open drywall and plastic on the hall floors. Odd, most properties would finish before letting guests on the floor.
It was okay, Lina the concierge was phenomenal. It would have been 2 stars if it wasn't for Lina. She remembered my name, every time. Always had a taxi waiting for me, always had water, and was extremely helpful.
The hotel was under heavy renovation, which I was completely unaware of. I was staying in the Atrium which wasn't under construction, however you had to check in at the main building. This meant you had to sneak through floors amongst construction workers, dust, debris and havok to get over the skybridge to check in, and then head back. Going outside wasn't an option, it was -35 with the windchill. The waterpark wasn't working, the gym was either out of water, or out of cleaning wipes, and for some reason they never tucked in the bottom bed sheet. They just draped it over the mattress. Eugh. I don't need to see the rotation scheduled that is stamped on the mattress. Doesn't make you feel clean.
For $199 a night you can get a hotel at the Wynn in Las Vegas. Here, it's a very different affair for the same price.
Great location. Don't need to be downtown. Well maintained! Nice rooms. Very good meeting rooms and staff.
The rooms are great and full of nice amenities. However, AVOID THE ATRIUM. There is basically 0 noise insulation for the rooms and you can hear all the noise ongoing. Even 'normal' talking volume noise would be loud, but there was a conference during our stay that had people clapping and cheering into the evening with 0 staff intervention. We eventually moved to a different room with a hide-a-bed instead of 2 queens. Our young niece noted she could feel the springs of the bed and was uncomfortable. She also managed to scrape her leg on the metal of it in the morning. We got bandaids at checkout and left exhausted and frustrated with only apologies from staff.
Modern trappings can't balance out how noisy the Atrium building is, however nice the heated bathroom floors are!
Update: I left a review through Delta/Marriott and management reached out with a detail response that they are following up and they kindly offered a free night stay. The staff were and continue to be very courteous.
The rooms are clean and modern. Bathrooms are modern and up to date. Parking is close. Route to the restaurant is a bit confusing and signage is lacking for directions to restaurant. Breakfast is a bit pricey but delicious. Highly recommend the greek yogurt bowl! Service was attentive and friendly. Pool in the tower was clean and in good working order. Will stay here again.
A quite ok hotel. The rooms were good. The food at breakfast gives quite a lot to be desired
It was just an overnight stay but Like always the rooms were exceptionally clean and the bed was excellent. Staff are excellent and really friendly. I use this as my regular stay when I go to Calgary
This review is for Stacey in the Bonaventure Lounge ... great service. thank you
Location was easy to get to attractions, including Heritage Park. Rooms were clean. Pool was okay. Breakfast buffet was very good. Service was really good and staff was very friendly.
We have stayed here a few times over the past couple of years, and we keep coming back due to the courteous staff and spacious rooms.
Hotel is undergoing renovations right now so check in can seem confusing. Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Front desk staff were very friendly.
We the Gibsons as a Family had Christmas buffet dinner at the Delta South Calgary today
We all felt welcome from the minute we arrived right up till we left,
Kevin the GM and one of the Senior Managers Kim were there to welcome guests
Sarah, and her staff were Awesome
Will be back next year
A typical North American hotel. Clean and alright needs some Reno's but its OK and price a little bit to high. Staff is amazing friendly and makes up for the hotel rooms.
This is a great location for conferences and has seen recent renovations to modernize the hotel.
Breakfast buffet? Not many things but it was good and everyone was cheerier than me!
My two-week stay at the Delta Southland was the one silver lining in my nightmare insurance claim. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The front desk team were so great to myself and my blind & very senior dog; always saying hello and offering him treats. A special thanks to Lina for truly making us feel like family during our time at the Delta. I really found my room to be comfortable, cozy, clean and well-serviced. There are two gyms to choose from as well as two pools, which is great when you want to change things up during a longer stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone with a pet or anyone seeking a great experience, with nice accommodations and very professional and hospitable staff. :)
Was just there for an event. Everything was good with the venue.
Clean rooms. Good service. The breakfast was particularly good. Location is a bit far but walkable to the train station.
Beautiful hotel, lots of amenities and upgrades. A little tedious to navigate with the two towers. Under construction when I stayed, so that was a bit annoying, but will only make it better.
We come to Calgary twice a year and have always stayed at the Delta. Helpful staff, very clean, and a variety of amenities. They have upgraded our room in the past for free as a thanks for loyalty which was highly appreciated. Highly recommended.
Really nice staff and facility for business training
Room was clean and Modern. Did not like the clear glass shower or the non locking bathroom door.
Breakfast at the atrium was good every day we stayed.
They have a decent water slide pool and a secondary pool in the Atrium.
Our swimmers did have issues with the chemical balance in the pool. Many had quite a bad rash afterwards.
They were accommodating to our team with a group rate and hospitality room. Would stay again.
Fantastic location, every amenity you could want, and the fastest elevators in Alberta.
I stayed in the Tower building during this stay. This Hotel has not 1 but 2 fitness areas and a big pool with a waterslide. The lobby is spacious and has a great atmosphere. I also really like the restaurant downstairs - Sage & co.
The rooms are very well laid out and almost every amenity you could want is right in the room. Plenty of USB charging areas, almost every plug in had one actually. The King room was tight between the bed and the closet/wall unit, but spacious everywhere else. The main area has a 32" TV on an articulating arm, which makes viewing the TV easy whether you are in bed or relaxing in the living area.
The rooms have a cute chair with a nice table that is handy to eat or do work off of while watching TV.
There is a nice big desk to work on, or lay out all your stuff. There is also an area beside the desk for your luggage so you can just lay it down and open the top. Really convenient.
The bathroom was really charming. The shower was a great design with a swinging door so it didnt take up space opening or closing it. The Shower head was really surprising as it had the traditional spray but also a nice waterfall feature. A small touch but I really enjoyed it nonetheless.
The Location was excellent as well. About 20 minutes from down town and a Walmart within walking distance. There are pleny of restaurants and even the South Center Mall just down the street.
Overall I was incredibly happy with my stay and I would definitely go out of my way to stay here again.
Whenever I visit my mom in Calgary we head to the lounge at the hotel for dinner and Churros. Nicole remembers us everytime and makes us feel instantly welcome. She always remembers my dietary restrictions and works with the kitchen to ensure they are met. Highly recommend.
Very clean, quality service and professional location.
Spectacular!!!! Beautifully renovated rooms just completed in 2017.
The beds are a little hard, but other than that the two pools are really nice and I enjoyed the in hotel restaurant and breakfast buffet. House keeping was really nice and I liked the TV selection. WiFi was a little spotty though which was a little annoying
The Atrium stairs is a beautiful setting for a First Look for a wedding!
The ceiling was leaking. The food was not great. The cream for the coffee was bad and curdled. Over all it wasn't a great experience.
