I went to ER on Dell Children s Hospital with my baby, who is 14th month old and my wife. I registered at 09:40PM (08/07/2021) and in waiting room were not so many people. The thing is that now is 3:13AM and I am still here in waiting room and waiting for nurse. My baby and my wife are sleeping outside because it is to cold for them, I need to wait inside, because I do not want to lose my queue.
I was trying to figure out on front desk what is the approximate timeframe for waiting, because I am still waiting more than 4 hours and clerk Rosily trying not to calm me even told me more frustrated words, that other people are waiting 8 hours, so you are waiting less.
I will not recommend this ER in Dell Hospital. Very bad service.
If you don t know where to spend 5,6,7 hours in cold room without water, explanation and all this with bad service please welcome to Dell Children s Hospital ER.

On May 20, 2021 I received a call from my husband that our daughter had broke her leg. After arriving to the emergency room and talking with the PA and surgeon they made us feel like family and promised they would do everything in their power to make my daughter feel comfortable. They surely did just what they had promised. On May 21, 2021 she went into surgery and came out with no complications. Dr. Brian Kaufman and his team did a WONDERFUL job. We were very impressed with his work. The nurses Jamie, Laura, Heather Brenna, and her physical therapist did a phenomenal job taking care of our child. We weren't to fine with one of the nurses in the ER . Her name was Doris and she made us feel so uncomfortable I had to tell her not to come back in our room or touch my daughter. Other than that we had a wonderful experience at Dell. So to the care team WE THANK YOU!

Was told it's better for my daughter to be active and go to school vs. Resting in bed, despite being diagnosed with a viral upper respiratory infection, having a fever, and an ear infection.

I brought my 3-month-old daughter in with RSV. As soon as I walked into the ER, the front desk checked her oxygen, before even checking us in. It was very low, so they immediately rushed us back to a room in the ER. Doctors and nurses came in right away to tend to my daughter. I was impressed by how quickly they were able to move. Everyone I met was very nice, thorough and professional.

I would have given this a 4 or 5 star because we see several doctors and most of them are great. My worst experience so far is with Dr. D at Orthodontics (Cranofacial). We have only seen her personally for maybe about one minute in over a year of trying to get a procedure done on my son. Till today, we are still waiting and I do not know the reason for the wait. My son's procedure is time sensitive as I was made to believe. We have called to follow-up but no call back. If we have to wait, it will be great to know why we are waiting. Not sure what to do at this point and not sure if we can get this service somewhere else.

I wanted to update this review to say that while I have not been able to speak with the Community Manager, I have seen prompt action. I have now been scheduled within 2 days of posting the above review. Thank you so much. I can now give a 4 star.

Be very careful with the doctor's here. Some are great, some will not listen to you.

Our child was discharged after 5 days only to return a day later because the doctor's missed the fact that they did not cure the illness they were treating despite _repeated_ attempts from my wife and I telling them we were concerned our child was still sick and asking them to perform an additional test or two.

Multiple doctors refused multiple times.

We were re-admitted 1 day later after our pediatrician was concerned and ordered an additional x-ray of her own accord (something we had asked to have done at the hospital). Now our child had complications, all because they failed to treat our child correctly the first time.

Luckily things seem to have worked out in the long run.

Dell Childrens Hospital in my limited experience handles planned care quite well and ER / urgent care quite poorly. Unfortunately, we came tonight for urgent treatment (stitches) of a laceration on my son s eyebrow and forehead. It s important to note that all the doctors and nurses we encountered were knowledgeable and consummate professionals, but the overall experience- primarily because of waits, lack of attention, and the lack of any predictability to when care would be received - was so bad that I will chose any other hospital next time. We arrived at about 6:30pm, saw a triage nurse about 7:45pm, waited until 11:20pm in a noisy waiting room,11:30pm another nurse took vitals in a private room, waited until 2am to get seen by the attending doctor, got pain medication for stitches at 2:30am and I am still waiting for stitches and wiping dripping blood off his cheek. They brought in a pint of blood as a precaution, which should be totally unnecessary for this under normal circumstances (where this gets attended to in an urgent manner).

Save your money from going to this less than mediocre place. We waited over 5 hours only to be told "everything is fine".... The room was filthy making it apparent that cleanliness is the least of their worries. We pay all this money to come to these "professionals" for help and answers but we just get information we already know... So, if you don't mind wasting your day away waiting, being told what you know, and dealing with incompetent staff then more power to you. My daughter suffered 5+ hours for this.
I do not need your contact information nor your link for a survey, from what I see, that serves no purpose when things are still just as bad.

Very careful with Caleb making sure pictures of x-rays were on exact alignment which gave me so much security in the healing process. Helped Caleb stay calm and breathe. This is a great experience we were helped in every area. From coming in to the finish taken care of. I appreciate the help in all areas. Patience is exceptional and I can honestly say they all have Value. Thank you for your service and help.

Dr. Freddie Joseph breached my parental rights and my son s as a patient. We have terminated our relationship with his practice and Dell s Children as a result. He had no grounds to do this. He told me he was going for a walk in the hall to get to know my son better and took my son directly to receive services from another provider without my direct permission or prior authorization. My son was interrogated to try and extract information from him and without a child advocate present. Further, the doctor and the other staff member concealed their actions from me without cause. I would not trust Dell s Children with my care or that of my children because of deceptive and illegal patient care practices. I am very disappointed with your offices. I hope that the conduct of this one provider does not reflect your standard of care in the rest of your practices. Do not contact us.
