Yum. Yum. Yum. This sandwich was sooooooo good. 5 stars no doubt. I love it, would recommend the Turkey Over Italy cold sandwich. So good!

Just Wow! Bacon, steak and mushroom sandwich... lordy

Went here for the first time the other day for lunch. The local, family owned feel is prominent. Prices are really pretty expensive, however, and I wish I had known just how much before coming here with my coworkers on our lunch hour. Tip: get a cold sandwich to cut down on the cost. I was expecting a $10 hot sandwich to at least come with a drink or bag of chips. Pretty steep. I understand that you re getting fresh ingredients and lots of meat. The chicken on my Chicken Cheddar Bacon Ranch sandwich was wayyyy too charred for my liking, making the entire sandwich taste burnt. Overall, I m not going to avoid Deli George, but it probably won t be a weekly thing for me.

Sandwiches are great, but wish they came with a side.

Came in for lunch. There was 20 minute wait for hot sandwiches, so decided to try their two timing Turkey sandwich. 1 tiny slice of Turkey and a slice of lettuce later, they call this a sandwich. Spent 35 bucks on lunch that should have cost 5. Will not be returning

Enjoyed a TBA sandwich, beer and chips. The sandwich had a perfect combination of Turkey, bacon and avocado, the Nut Brown beer has great flavor. I like Newcastle and this is similar.

Lots of options on the menu. And friendly staff.

This place is fantastic! I had the slow smoked brisket sandwich which was on a pretzel bun which was toasted. I in love with this sandwich. My friend got the buffalo chicken sandwich looked amazing as well. Make sure to get a cookie! They are huge and delicious! The staff is friendly and helpful! The decor is fun and super family friendly.

Expensive in my opinion but really tasty food. Potato salad is the best I've ever had. Pretty sure everyone I know who has tried it agrees.

Quite literally the best sandwiches I've ever had. I go here on as regular of a basis as possible and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended!

They've also recently changed their hours to include dinner times as well, which is very convenient if you couldn't make the lunch times.

Luckily I came in just before the lunch crowd as I have been told it gets packed. The service is outstanding. They are very helpful and make sure you are doing ok and everything is tasting great even though you do not have a server. I got the Bacon Steakin mushroom sandwhich based on a recommendation from a co-worker. It was fantastic! A very large, full of flavor sandwich. I dont think you will be disappointed.

Their Turkey over Italy sandwich was amazing!! They have a fabulous menu with some very tasty options. They even make their own sliced roast beef that is delicious!

The pretzel bun on the beef brisket sandwich was amazing!

They have become skimpy with their meats and the bread is definitely not the same.

This place was awesome!! So much variety available for whatever you may be craving. Fresh cooked meats for different sandwiches and delicious fresh breads to enjoy!

The prices were a little high for a sandwhich, but Deli George is super yummy!

Amazing deli near downtown. Great selection of sandwiches and custom creations with something new every time I visit. One of my favorites and you know it's a hit when everyone I bring wants to come back.

Great stuff! Vast majority of decisions that are sandwich-related are perfect. Except for the horseradish in the house mustard. That ruined a perfectly good sandwich. Don't get that house mustard.

Worst deli experience ever. Actually walked out and left my food. At least the food that had finally arrived and there was only one other customer. I don't care how good the menu looks it doesn't make up for the long wait and poor service.

Staff were accommodating for a pickup order that was requested before they "open" for business! They didn't even mention it over the phone and I only knew because of the posted hours!
They made my morning easy for a lunch meeting! The food was great, too!'

Deli George is easily one of my favorite lunch spots in town but I have to rate 4 stars because it is closed on the weekend when I have and many others have time off to enjoy a nice lunch. Other than that great food and great atmosphere.

Visited for the first time today and what a pleasant surprise. I got a chicken focaccia grill sandwich and it was fantastic. Fresh, hot and delicious. Wonderful bread topped with rosemary. I will definitely be back! I 'm a complete food snob and if I could find any fault with the food I would mention it. Service was good and staff seemed friendly as well.

This place has a nice relaxed atmosphere with a very friendly staff. I ordered the Turkey over Italy . The sandwich was so good I forgot to take a picture. A warning though, it is a little messy. But it's worth it!

This place was recommended to use by our cable guy. Boy was he right when he said that deli George has the best tasting sandwiches! My wife had the Georgioso and I had the NY style Reuben. They were both fantastic and my Reuben was so good, I think it will be my go to choice every time I return. Keep up the great work, your sandwiches are to die for.

If you like basil pesto get the turkey over Italy. Wow. Great restaurant!

Unfortunately, I have never been able to taste the food. I've heard the sandwiches are good and the food is delicious.

Every time I've been to their locations (both the old location and the new location) the deli
Has been closed.

I do hope to have the opportunity to try the food and submit an amended review.

Love this place. Came here a couple times a week and had the veggie sandwich. Would recommend the brownie. Definitely get the butterfinger brownie if they have that.

Sadly, this was my first visit. The steak sandwich looked good. Unfortunately, just 3 bites is all it took to make me sick to my stomach. $13 in the trash. Too bad. I love a good steak sandwich.

I love this place. Great sandwiches that fill you up and are packed with plenty of flavor. Get a combo and set yourself up with one of their delicious cookies. Great staff to go along with great food.

Easy to forget about this place the way it's tucked back in there but the food is damn good.

I NEVER leave reviews for products or businesses, but the grilled chicken on rosemary focaccia bread that I had at George's suggestion today was out of this world! Warm, super flavorful, chicken perfectly grilled, the best sandwich I have ever had. A deli? No, it's gourmet! I can't wait to go back.

everything on the menu hits like a train. probably the best sandwiches and salads I've ever had. prepare yourself to be astounded, bedazzled and otherwise stupified.

We went for the Philly cheese steak sandwich. We were disappointed. They have always been delicious in the past. We requested green pepper and tomatoes.
The onions and green peppers were cooked on to hot of grill, they were burnt.
The meat was pretty good.
We realized that the original owners must have sold.
Not sure we will be back.

It may be tempting to go to the chain restaurants that surround it but stick to your guns and get yourself in there! This place is amazing, sevice exceptional. Top quality gourmet ingredients for the price. Wonderful chips and HOME MADE COOKIES. Will return and might not ever go to the neighbors.

I'm sad to be typing this. I have been REALLY looking forward to trying the sandwiches at this place, but unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.
When I got my order with gluten free bread, I noticed two things:
1. A full sized gluten free portion appeared to be the same as a half portion of the normal bread.
2. The sad pieces of bread were already broken in multiple places and crumbling before I even picked it up. Upon trying to take my first bite, it began disintegrating in my lap in about a billion little crumbs. After 3 bites, the sandwich was more of a mash of breadcrumbs and chicken. I had to eat it with a fork.

PROS: the filling was tasty, and if it weren't for the bread, I'd be a regular. It's just sad that a place that puts an emphasis on quality ingredients can't invest in some better quality GF bread.

Absolutely amazing sandwiches. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The fresh cookies ate top notch.

One of the best sandwich shop in Boise Idaho.. fresh cooked meats, Keith and staff are one of the finest in their business. All I can say is you must give this restaurant a try. Very impressive. Thanks Darrell and Autumn

Really neat sandwiches, attentive, engaged staff and excellent French bread.

New update after two years- not sure what happened but Deli George is back! They re open later, staff are a lot nicer, and somehow the sandwiches are better!

Guess some things can change- definitely worth the stop.

Best sandwich place in town. Amazing, fresh smoked meat and cheeses. Fresh, homemade bread and vegetables. Great atmosphere and fiendly staff.

If you haven't tried this place yet, you will regret you hadn't sooner. Even the owner is there making sure your food and experience is great. Reminds me of a small town restaurant on steroids.
