AVOID!!

AVOID!!
I always had some reservations with the company - uniform was worn out and atrocious, it was clear that the company did not want to invest in clean, suitable uniform for their staff.
The lunch provided to employees was on the verge of inedibility. Although these initially appeared as minor concerns, the recent Covid-19 outbreak exacerbated my worries.

Communication between Delaware North and employees was unacceptable, as many of my emails were not responded to until months later and information pertaining the furlough scheme was unequivocally insufficient.

The company have refused to furlough zero hour contract staff in accordance to a ridiculously strict eligibility criteria which hardly anyone would meet.

A company that refuses to support their long term employees is more that disgraceful and I am utterly disgusted with the way the company have handled things in regards to the pandemic.

I am literally still waiting to get paid, though I should have been paid 3 weeks ago. Have complained over the phone and through email but they are very inefficient and dismissive. Barely responded to emails.

Some managers are nice, some are really not - depending on where you work.

The company generally does NOT care about you, my mate even had a serious incident, where a manager tried something and all they told her to do was 'email us what happened'.

A bit of favouritism goes on there too, so not all employees are treated fairly.

I would not recommend working here unless you need quick money, there are still definitely other agencies that will treat you 100 times better...

However its helpful as you can book your own shifts - but even after calling in to book a shift, I wouldn't get booked in. I don't know if its just me but my experience has been far from great so I would really not advise anyone to work here unless they are desperate.

One of the worst companies to work for. Their interview procedures are worst. making the decision straight away and giving it on face. I felt quit bad since they reveal in-front of my friend who also there with me for interview.
I guess they trying to do it like a master chefs goes large Tv programme.
Why cant they reveal their results by email rather than insulting them in-front of everyone.
They organised Kitchen Administrator Jane wood to interview the candidates.
She came to interview with lack of preparations, and having different candidate CV.
When she asked my experience, as I was answering she was stopping me for every single Questions and Refusing to restructure the Questions when I asked her, sorry I didnt get you can you repeat again.
And knocked down on the first stage having 17 years experience as a chef working in a leading international hotel chains.
other chef whose been interviewed by same Jane wood also knocked down. I can clearly see his emotion as he is on his nerves.
I feel awfull...
what a day

The worst companies to work for , all they care about is the money. They under pay staff , no professional service when calling as you'll be dealing with collegues you work with.

However, blue arrow, staff heroes have been said to be very well paying agencies
