The RUDEST, MOST CONDESCENDING encounter I've ever had when dealing with any court system.

I called this place because I recently passed the Georgia bar, one of the biggest highlights of my entire life because of what it took me to achieve it, and was talked to demeaningly (by a woman, I wish not to say her name)... words can't explain how I was spoken to on the phone. I wanted to schedule my swearing-in ceremony with a certain Judge but after how I was spoken to, I am reconsidering if this place is even somewhere I want to share my monumental moment.

This is something I've worked my entire life to be able to do and it was disheartening to be treated this way. I even considered posting this on my social media platform and tagging the individual, but I don't think I have the heart to intentionally make someone feel the way I felt when this happened to me.

Thanks to Phillis (sorry if I did not spell your name correctly!) in the Real Estate Division for her professional and helpful assistance with my questions this morning. I appreciate your friendly and thorough help in answering all of my questions. I now feel confident about coming down next week to conduct business with the DeKalb County Clerk's office!

In my case having to do with the wrongful foreclosure of my home (Georgia Alloy, LLC and FDC 94, LLC v. Sam Levine, Case No.. 18-CV-1430), the Dekalb County Superior Court Clerk's office not only falsified, altered and forged, back-dated, forward-dated and spoliated my filings, (including removing exhibits from my filings), it's own filings, but also did the same with the online case docket and when I paid a large sum of money to appeal my case, the clerk's appeals clerk, Marilyn Roebuck omitted over half of the case file, created, falsified and e-filed the case transcript index and sent an incomplete case file to the appeals court.

Amazing staff, Jan or John can't remember really was amazing he helped me immensely when I filed pro se answer to complaint. The nice lady in the library was excellent she played with my babies whilst I typed even brought toys out for my kids to play with.

My experience with the clerks is that to remember while there are some clerks that have excellent customer service abilities I have as well had bad experiences with a couple of clerks, that of which was rude disrespectful and not courteous at all.outright distasteful!.I should only hope that whosoever governs that area would see to it that each and every person wether present at the courthouse or interacting by phone would be treated with a sense of decency and respect!

My family and I had a wonderful experience getting passports done. Very professional and courteous staff. Dana, especially was beyond helpful, and she wasn't even working in the passport department. She seemed to have been on her lunch break, and was delayed helping us, which she didn't seem to mind. She also checked on us on our way out to make sure we got everything done! We really appreciate you Ms. Dana, and everyone else!

Sent form through their website. Almost right away I received an email from Jerome, stating my documents were ready to be picked up, where I need to go to retrieve the docs, and the hours their office is open. Before I could even respond, Melissa called me on the phone and further helped me. Helpful and patient.

Very rude staff. I went there to have my notary license renewed. It is always a dreadful experience. I wish I could do it online. Apparently, they all hate their jobs. The words "please" and "thank-you" are NOT part of the vocabulary of anyone working there. "May I have your driver's license, PLEASE" works much better than "Gimme your driver's license." The workers at the window treat everyone like they are bothered to be working/helping customers. Also, the King's English seems foreign to the staff I've dealt with there. "Where dat found at?" Are you kidding me??? These people were hired to deal with the public??? Wow.

Edited: I was extremely shocked, but pleasantly surprised when, only a couple of hours after this post, I received a personal phone call from the Clerk of Superior Court, Debra DeBerry. She was very concerned about my experience with her staff. She listened, attentively, to my concerns and assured me that she would address the issues I presented. Thank you, Ms. DeBerry! This is the kind of action taxpayers want to see!

Irritating experience. After reading the DeKalb County Superior Court website to learn about the process for dealing with a sensitive family ordeal, I called the DeKalb County Superior Court to ask questions that the website did not answer. The person I spoke with referred me to the Family Law Information Center (F.L.I.C.). The representative of the F.L.I.C. was unhelpful to say the least. Not only did she refer me back to the original number I called, she told me that reading is fundamental and if the information online was not enough I should consult an attorney. After looking again at the website (and not finding the information I needed), I travelled to the F.L.I.C. only to learn that the information and forms I needed were only available in-person. The woman I spoke with in-person told me that the forms were actually not available online, and it seems that you have to contact the F.L.I.C. to even learn that you need the forms. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one star is because of the woman I met in-person who gave me the forms and information I needed. She was apologetic about her co-worker s interaction with me. Family matters that require the courts are often painful people shouldn t have to deal with condescending and ill-informed court staff as well.

Excellent resources for researching and discovering how the land on which we live and coexist within our communities are recorded. Perhaps children should be exposed to this library system and historical documents that are one the primary fabric of our Nation / County. Fascinating awareness. When was the first or last time you visited?

They are sticklers for document quality. Yes, they literally used the word stickler when describing why they were rejecting several filed documents. I wish I could post the files. These documents were so clear that Stevie Wonder could have read them. I wasted several hours refiling and resubmitting documents that were 100% legible to begin with. The clerks here have too much time on their hands.

I have just held for 1.5 hours over the phone to ask a simple question. After the extended hold was released, the phone rang continuously to no avail, it is now about 4:45 (close to the end of the work day) still no answer. Therefore, l hung up, immediately called back and was on hold again. I am a call center employee; this is NOT good.

Is anyone else having issues getting a hearing for child support? I filed back in December and have not been able to get a hearing due to covid and have been left in the dark with no time frame of when a future hearing will be while other counties are open for traffic court. I m a single mom of 1 1/2 year old twins and it s a tough time to be struggling during the pandemic with no court assistance to hold anyone accountable.

I would like to add to my last recent post that several of the judges, including Mark Anthony Scott and Courtney Johnson coordinated and colluded with the clerk of the superior court to falsify, alter, forge, forward and back-date and spoliate my court filings, the online case docket, the case transcript and the case filings index sent to the court of appeals in my dispossessory case. Judge Johnson continued to do this even after I discovered the fraud.

Marcus Bailey helped me out tremendously. I came to get my notary license and I somehow forgot some document to sign and he was able to assist me with no problem. I thought I would have to wait weeks but he was able to make it just a few moments. Thanks.
