Very inspiring university that emanates culture in every corner of the city!
I have been living in Bologna for 23 years, I graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration and I am attending a specialized degree course. Perhaps it is true, bureaucracy is a veritable sword of Damocles, and it is also true that piazza verde smells like piss and is full of toxic substances, this is information that is completely unrelated to the university that hosts us. The professors who teach in these very ancient halls are still able to transmit passion and a desire for change. Whoever flees from Bologna, or from Italy in search of something "better" or more "right" knows that he will not find it. The world is not right, and running away from problems does not make you a stronger person, but only a coward and a nullity. If you really believe in what you do, and in the country where you live, you accept its pros and cons, you get angry, you swear and sometimes you start from scratch; running away from one's life is a very simple practice that many young people are adopting without good reason. Instead of being foreigners in others' homes, try to make your country and your university a better place to live especially for those who will come after you.
You who complain, run away and fall, be ashamed. You pity me.
Unfortunately, we could not see the University from the inside, the facade is beautiful, however, history plays more of a role than appearance.
I attended this university at the age of 12. My family didn't care about me. Everyone but my grandmother, of course. Until she died. My professor belittled me and didn't let me attend her funeral. I beat him with a textbook that day. Great classes though.
Despite the organizational shortcomings today, it has remained in some leading areas, and the diploma of this university opens many doors in Europe. There are plenty of European family crests everywhere, and they are Polish.
I believe that Unibo is one of the best universities in the world! with many famous, wise and experienced professors in Department of Electronic (DEI), in a beautiful and lovely city!
I studied medicine at Bologna University. Graduated in 1978.life was very nice and peaceful, I have big love for Italy and Italians
The Belmeloro jurisprudence site is well organized, but the classrooms are not very large due to the number of students they should receive.
the number of services such as computer rooms is not always available.
It is a beautiful building. The area is animated by pubs, cafes, restaurants, bicycles, graffiti and the library, both the building and its ceilings, as its volumes deserve a slow and attentive visit
One of the best universities in Europe with high profile teachers, very competent in teaching. Studying at this university allows you to obtain excellent visibility in the Emilian working world and beyond.
I am sure that in the coming years the University will continue to grow and to offer more and more study paths.
I'm still going to have to visit this place he's beautiful and seems to be magical inside.
The oldest and most beautiful university in the world. Go and visit the wonderful frescoed halls of the Palazzo Poggi museum, a treasure trove of science and art.
The University of Bologna is the symbol of culture. First university in the world, it has its organizational flaws, but overall I think it is one of the most appreciated universities in Italy.
Located in Via Zamboni 33, the secretariat of the University of Bologna is a very fascinating historical structure, with paintings, sculptures and very suggestive rooms.
To obtain information there is a waiting list based on numbers, but it is advisable to call and book an appointment, in order to speed up the whole thing.
The structure is located in a very central position, just a few steps away from various faculties such as Literature, Economics and Law.
Despite being very well maintained, there are some traces of damage, especially to the ceiling, where the bricks can be seen through large cracks and for this reason I assign 4 stars instead of 5.
I also advise improving the secretarial service by providing more counters, especially if you already know that there are many bookings.
After 5 years from graduation I realized I had a more complete preparation of my colleagues.
Thank you, it was hard, at the time I sent you many accidents, now I regret having done it and I'll give you this nice review of thanks. I would go back and I would certainly have graduated before putting much more effort and determination into it.
Zoology faculty seems like real museum. I liked it.
If you have a lot of money and no desire to work, this is the place.
You will spend money (and a lot, especially if you are off-site) and the possibility of finding a job when you leave this muffled world is close to zero; if you find it, it will only be thanks to you, not thanks to the university.
The Course of languages, markets and cultures of Asia is very valid, the smaller classes allow you to learn Japanese better and have conversation during English. Interesting courses on Asian history and philosophy and on political and economic geography.
By no means do I want to convey that I recommend for the mother to be inactive.
A rotten, disorganized and super bureaucratic system. It will take an eternity to stand in line to file documents (at least 2 weeks), plus another eternity to withdraw them (if you are as lucky as me - you may never see them again). Initially it will confirm that you are on a budget - and at the end of the year I will ask you for 3200 euros to graduate that year. It seems to be more of a well-organized scheme to force students to pay for their studies!
Teachers ft ft ft poorly prepared. Don't expect to understand anything from them - especially if you want to study in English !!! I have regretted countless times that I chose to follow the master's program at this University, after my wonderful experience in Iasi (Romania).
I hope you find it useful, and don't repeat my mistakes!
Good luck!
2.40 for one hour of parking for those who come to visit their children is a further theft for those who reach them from outside the region. The covid excludes other observations
Oldest university in Europe. Very emblematic place. Worth knowing.
Obviously if you study medicine u need to punch it into their heads and not be a surgeon prone to malpractice
I studied civil engineering at Unibo. I think it is one the best Universities in Europe and in the world in my field of study with a strong background.

The Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna is my university; I spent unforgettable years in Bologna.
Two stars are also many and only for trust. But you trudge of ugly, dear university, you are polentosa like the city where you find yourself, dirty and suffocating like not even India. Weighted down by a meaningless bureaucracy (as I believe everywhere in Italy) and often too other taxes (considering that for the same services abroad are infinitely lower), I have only one wish: not to go back to you, nor as a student, nor to as a researcher. Take care of yourself and give a clean to Via Zamboni because on sunny days the smell of piss and excrement (not only canines) under the arcades reaches infernal peaks. Ah, I forgot: but you ARE a hell of a group.
The Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna is not a university, it is an injection of hope for a defeated but stubborn generation. It boasts an army of prepared and proactive teachers, who aim to enhance students' skills and not to disqualify them. The offices work, the classrooms are capacious and the courses are magnificent. It is not a university, I repeat, it is a hope!
Best University ever. Fully supporting Lecturers, amazing learning and facilities, lovely and over friendly environment and atmosphere. Beautiful city. Perfect!!!
Bad teachers and not a good city for studying and living
A corner of culture to discover and explore. One of the most characteristic places in Bologna for its history and preserved works. It organizes numerous events throughout the year to promote ancient and contemporary art.
To visit always and in any case if you are a tourist in Bologna.
(also take a trip to the National Picture Gallery just next door).
I wanted to transfer here from another Uni.
I asked them if I could get an acknowledgement of the credits I have obtained at my previous institution.
They told me:
1. I have to enroll and pay first
2. Then I have to apply for the acknowledgement of the previous career
3. Finally, no certain outcome is guaranteed, but "Professors are very understanding people"
Is there a way to get an agreement before payment? Apparently not. This is ridiculous because why would someone transfer to a Uni that says "pay me first, then... maybe... we will certify what you've done".
The second star is because they answered promptly.
Gorgeous. Even during this period it is a part of the enchanted city!
The Alma Mater is the oldest public university in Europe ... and in this long period it has had a lot of time to improve itself to reach the almost perfect perfection it enjoys today
Studying and living in Bologna is not comparable with any other city. Bologna is Bologna and Unibo is TopGamma
my drame is study is bolongna univercity he is one of the best collage
see my friend there...The oldest university in the western world, the mother of the university Dante, Copernicus are all alumni. What is worth visiting in Bologna is the University of Bologna with almost a thousand years of history, in Italian: Universita di Bologna. The main campus of Bologna University is just beside the Old Town of Bologna, where you can make day trips in tandem with the old town. There are Spanish schools, Grand Place, Graffiti Wall and the first Anatomical Anatomy Classroom in the world to start modern medicine. When it comes to internationalization and globalization, Bologna University is also a leader. For example, the Spanish Academy established in 1364 is a college established for Spanish students and has been sponsored by the Spanish royal family since 1488. The institute also has a long history The painted corridor, although slightly mottled, but still can be seen then gorgeous decorative design.
bologna is the best university city in Italy, and quality of the university itself is incredibly high (especially compared with other European universities)
You can not otherwise than 5 - of course from a tourist point of view.
The first university in the world. We are in 1088 when Alma Mater, the Mother Nurse was born.
Expected to see much more in the oldest educational institution.
In fact, the territory of the university is not so large and beautiful. A lot of pointers and inscriptions are overwritten, and next to it is "contemporary art engraved."
Moreover, I did not find a single unifying sign "University of Bologna", as is customary in other great universities of the world.
It is one of the most prestigious Italian universities, commonly ranking in the first places of national, European and international rankings both as a whole and for individual subjects.
Having graduated from the Alma Mater is a source of pride and honor!
