Just ordered a takeaway and must say its the best takewaway ive had in ages. So flavourful! Its rare you say the poppodoms are amazing but you could taste the spices involved - the curries were phenomenal, the rice and bread too. Could not fault it.

The warmth and sparkle that De Baga projects from the outside makes you want to enter; this is more than echoed by the food and service - which makes you not want to leave. The food is outstanding, with special mention having to go to the unique nibbles which tantalize your tastebuds whilst giving you time to peruse the rest of the menu - the popcorn and smoked aubergine/cheese cornetto nibbles in particular are a must try! I have already recommended trying this with two more sets of friends since last night! It looks set to become a firm favourite in the area and was full from the time we entered at half six. Great place to eat. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This was our second visit to this small and busy Goan restaurant. All the staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. The menu is short which is a good thing but offers plenty of choice. The paneer starter was unusual and silkily gorgeous and the Dahl was just amazing. This can all be washed down with the in-house beer brewed by the owners.

Excellent food predominantly Goan in taste with touches of flavours from along the Western Ghats. Food was very well prepared, served with friendly courtesy in this relatively new restaurant. I tried a beer called Delhi6 brewed by the owner. It tasted fresh and light. I will return to sample other dishes and beers. If you like tasty spicy food, De Baga is recommended.

Well what can I say about this truly scrumptious and sensual, sensory delight of a restaurant. The food took me and my friends on a journey through authentic flavour and taste. From the starters to the mains, the lagers to the naan. It was sublime! They have definitely got this one in De Bag . I will be visiting again as soon as possible!

Yours truly,

Mr Winkle.

My friend went with work, and raved about it so much I let her take me the second we were indecisive about where to eat. The starters came, I had the sev puri and my friend had the kale bhajis. Both were so delicious and incredible. For the main I had palak paneer and my friend the keema dish. Between us we had the roti and two naans. Everything was our of this world delicious and I can't wait to eat there again. My only negative note would be how the service was slow for our visit. But it's the bank holiday weekend of a heatwave and an ashes match so headingley was crazy busy I don't blame them one bit.

Really nice food here, probs one of the best in leeds. They have a very small menu but this good as everything tastes unique and food is fresh. The waiters can help you decide your options too. The staff is really nice too. They have a really nice rooh ahfza pina colada, I drank about 3 myself lol. Must try that pina colada when you go there !

THE MOST AMAZING INDIAN MEAL! Wow - what an incredible culinary experience!

The food was spectacular - some of the finest Indian food I've ever come across. Not your typical Indian restaurant as the fusion of flavours on their menu was very unique - from soft shell crab, beetroot raita, popcorn chaat and the taste of blue cheese in the cheese naans. From starters, mains to dessert - each dish pleasantly surprised the taste buds and left you wanting more.

The restaurant had a great Goan beach shack vibe, whilst the service was extremely friendly - the restaurant owner even told us the history of the food and flavours inspired from Goa and made some recommendations to us which was fantastic. The menu was also very well priced.

Can't wait to go back and have already made another reservation. De Baga has completely changing the concept of going out for Indian food. An exciting new restaurant in Leeds - a must visit!

Both me and my partner were both looking forward to experiencing and eating food from Goa and were excited at the prospect of trying South Asian cuisene.

We arrived were met with a host of smells to invite us into the venue, which had a lovely atmosphere and all the the staff were attentive and service was speedy. With good drink choices and some classics available like thumbs up

However when it came food it lacked a real kick i was expecting. Ultimately the food wasn't as good as I anticipated and this left us both disappointed with the experience.

Amazing food with great service and atmosphere! You can tell that everything on the dish is fresh; be it vegetables, meat or fish. They take great care with presentation and I noticed the dishes were very consistent (saw a couple of dishes we ordered being served to other customers too). Can see this place out growing it s location and relocating to a larger premises, which I hope does not impact the currently flawless operation of the restaurant. Will be returning very soon! Thank you.

Looking forward to going here so no judgment over that, but I have to mention that the menu on the website fails to distinguish between vegan, vegetarian and gluten free, only has (v) on some dishes (with no key visible anywhere) which is pretty much inexcusable given the location and the audience. This is a seriously important aspect to get right and if they are in any doubt about they need to take a look at what their competitors are doing.

As I say, really looking forward to getting there and tasting the food, but felt this constructive criticism about the info on the website is reasonable.

Food was amazing. One of the owners came over to ask how we were and told us the story behind the food and the heritage which was interesting to find out how the indian/portugese fusion came from.
I'll definitely come back!

Food and drinks were good. Good vibe. Friendly and attentive staff.
When it came to the billing things were not straightforward. It was a hand-written bill and staff was not happy to give the bill after paying the money. For the same reason I have rechecked the bill against the prices in the website and seems to be not correct. As they are writing the total for the Drinks and Desserts they have charged few quids extra. It s not about the amount of money, it s about the principle. I hope the team will be more vigilant.

This restaurant is absolutely an authentic one! Compare to common names in Leeds, De Baga is on top of my list so far. Taste of food, freshness, price for both food and drink, service, and staffs, are all reasonably good! Congratulations to the manager! The Gajar halwa and Five Sev Puri were quite different dessert and starter that I ever had and I enjoyed both! My favourite mains are Makan Wale and Lamb Xacuti.
I spent a pleasant evening there with my friends, and will go there again. I do recommend it.

Fabulous India food. From a region I of India me and my partner know well. Goa.
Nearest we can get with the current situation (covid19).
Only a small place. Bit more of a cafe look inside. Don't let that put you off.
All staff are very pleasant and attentive.
Was a late birthday meal from my partner.
When they knew they came out with a slice of cake with a candle on.
Nice touch. Made the more special.

A big thank you to #debaga restaurant for inviting us over for their absolutely beautiful Christmas menu tasting. Such an enjoyable evening provided by super welcoming service and explosion of flavours! Book yourselves in to try their unique fusion of flavours, with staff taking you on an exciting food journey. Starting with warming spicy sweet potato and pumpkin soup, followed by a set of starters, including lamb chop with smoothest coffee, chocolate and orange sauce, charcoaled chicken with tangy mint sauce, and the awesome-st raspberry and strawberry sauce coming with veggie set absolute winner for us! You re in for a treat if you opt for dessert but shhh . Gotta try it!

Thanks again De Baga team!

The food here is outstanding. Please do not think twice about coming, here just do it, you will not be disappointed. Easily one of the top two Indian restaurants for me in the North, amazing job for a new establishment.........oh, nearly forgot about the cocktails, I sampled 3 from the menu and to be honest they were some of the best tasting I've had in a long long while!

Dined here tonight for the first time using EOTHO (50% off). Even without the discount the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant itself is somewhat small but tables well spaced and all surfaces made cleansable. Staff wearing appropriate PPE. All staff very friendly and helpful and the food was very very good.

Good atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, reasonably priced, the best Indian food I've eaten in years. All dishes delicious and unique, not your usual Indian menu. Will definitely go there again and I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone looking for something new to try.

Went there for my birthday. Really original menu focused on specific regional dishes from South India (so more seafood options than usual for instance). Really good selection of beers on tap as well. Highly recommend

Not long been open but packed out!! My mate and I dropped in to get a take away but the wait was one hour, quick friendly conversation with a few of the staff and that time changed to 15mins. Two beers ordered while we waited, their own brew Delhi6 Lager, absolutely amazing, way better than Kingfisher. Food was awesome, not hot just perfect amount of spice with beautiful Goan flavours. It's a must try!!

Excellent Restaurant. First class service and food. The host and all waiting staff were incredibly friendly, and good fun! A bit hectic as these guys are new, quite small and very popular (you'll see why), but it didn't detract from the evening. Will certainly be revisiting, and given how good they are these guys should think about trying to get more space!

Cheers,
Jake

The food was exceptional, and the staff very friendly and passionate about their menu. Would have been 5 stars if we hadn't been rushed out, they were clearing plates whilst we were still eating for both starters and mains and then not offered dessert. The staff were apologetic and explained that they were very busy and needed our table however we had booked this table 3 weeks ago, it's not like we were a walk in. Shame. This wouldn't put us off going back and would still recommend, as their business is still in its infancy there are going to be teething problems like working out how many covers per night they should be aiming for.

We ordered Mankios (Squid) fry and Murgh Malai kebab for starters. The squid was good but could have been better. The kebabs were dry and not upto mark. The sweet potato fries were quite good to be honest. For mains, we ordered NH 66 mutton curry which was again disappointing. Overall, expected much more than what i got eventually.
