De Reehorst Review

Great hotel in a partly somewhat dated complex. The building also has a conference function and is a bit messy here and there due to various extensions. Located in a beautiful wooded area, within walking distance of Ede-Wageningen station. Large private car park.

Visit the Reehorst for a conference. The hotel/conference center is located within walking distance of the train station. The lobby and conference are really nice, with a recently updated contemporary theme. The rooms are solid. Nothing fancy in my room as demonstrated by the pictures but still a nice experience and comfortable place to rest when not in meetings.

Good hotel, nice and close to the station. Food at the Zuzu is fine, breakfast is very complete with very tasty local bread. Only missed a kettle in the room.

We will be staying here on the weekend of 2 and 3 May 2020.
The reception was fine. There was a present with our room. Cheap bottle of bubbles but still. Including breakfast we lost more than 250 euros and that was out of proportion. The jaccuzi is very nice and very large, but that makes the room less. The bed sleeps wonderfully and the light is dimmable everywhere. The location is less. View is 3x nothing. Staff are enthusiastic but the food is really lousy. The asparagus was very stringy and very little. The satay was mwa. 2 sticks a and some fries. Again, the service was a plus and very skilled. We leave together quite often and stay in different locations from 3 to 5 stars. For me this is a 3 plus but certainly not a 4 star. The restaurant is very mediocre. The price is exorbitantly high, which creates expectations that are not met. 100 euros less would be a more realistic price. For comparison we have been in 5 stars with wellness in Peer. For almost 100 euros less. I have not seen the regular rooms but for price quality I would.

So I would advise against the suite for that price.

Room 603 could be cleaner, breakfast way too expensive, ZuZu staff do not know what opening hours are, do not want to make a drink half an hour before time because "the kitchen is closed? Reception giving dirty plates for that price? Almost 270 euros for a night .. small chance that I will come back here!

You have got to love the somewhat over the top styling of the hotel. Restaurant was a bit of a disappointment after they stopped with the life cooking concept.

Quite rubbish. The TV remote didn't work, the battery cover was taped on, there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the whole place is just a bit dated.

Great hotel! Woman at the desk looked spicy and surprised when she saw that we had booked a reasonably expensive room. I don't know about our age or our appearance, but that could be a bit more nuanced. (We were not bothered by it, but you never know with people) Some people, of course, don't like that and feel biased. But after that everything went really well and we got all the help they could offer. It is located at a nice distance from the city and the Veluwe. So also a very good location! Minibar with drinks at the expense of the hotel (that which it says) a tip: do not book during the heath week. We did not know that was a thing and we were stranded with our car near the city and we could not go anywhere! Made the best of it until it was over haha

Nice location, been there because of a meeting, so in one of the halls
Neatly arranged, including the lunch, friendly staff. The disadvantage, for a disabled toilet you have to go through the whole building and then down with a kind of old goods lift. Not handy if the disabled have to walk .... A facility on the side of the rooms would be desirable. And tidy up the lift too, so that you don't have the feeling of being hidden away. A suite should be an experience. You also pay extra money for that.
Instead of that you get - an arrogant desk clerk, - a room full of dust, - empty minibar, - not even a bottle of water, - two small plastic cups (!), - no bathrobe. And much more sad display. They refuse to bring anything to your room. Everything you ask is not there or you can come and get it yourself. Then why did I rent a suite ???

I think this hotel also knows that their service is drama. But clearly doesn't feel like making something out of it anymore. Then again to Van der Valk;))

Millionairs suite booked for 2 nights, in itself beautiful room but smaller than expected. The diving for a rubber duck at the counter and the so-called "extra experience" of searching for a code for the secretroom, where nothing was visible afterwards, was not necessary. If the suitte is good, that kind of "entertainment" is not necessary! Turn the secret room into a cozy sitting area with TV and replace the current TV place with a gel fireplace or something and it is absolutely great. Very friendly staff, food was fine but the rose petals and dust from the previous visitors were still there, "because the cleaner can't get under the bed" ... nonsense of course. Cleaning is cleaning!

We had chosen a beautiful Suite and it was neatly arranged. The food was very tasty and we are very pleased with the gentlemen in the Zuzu bar. Great service and they provided us with a few delicious cocktails and a pleasant conversation! We will definitely come back!

We have been 1 night. During the corona measures. In the restaurant the food was good. Was kept neatly to five feet.
Picked up breakfast at the restaurant in the morning. This is consumed in the room. Room a bit small and warm. Sat on the 5th floor. Unfortunately no coffee / tea facilities in the room. Shower was very small.

Very good location for conferences, two theaters were really good both for view and listen, good food in the breaks, room for posters exhibition, bikes for rental available but not cheap.

There nice event location. There is a lot of space over the floors and beautiful spacious rooms for presentations, among other things.

The hotel is classified as 4 stars, but that is not instinctively. Despite the spacious suite and the delicious jacuzzi, the room was mwa. Lying is dimmable everywhere, but the stains were on the wall. The restaurant is very mediocre. The food very little and not really tasty. The service is friendly and very skilled and far exceeds the quality of food. The big problem for me is the price. This creates expectations that are not met and that is a pity. For more than 260 euros for a night with breakfast and no evening meal, this is exorbitantly high. 100 euros less would be much more competitive. I have not seen the regular room, but I would not book the suite again.

Had an career event in this place. The place is nice

I had a congress. The breaks were well taken care of, tasty cakes etc. Just a pity that during lunch things that were used up were not supplemented. Which meant that you immediately had to pack everything you wanted. Hoarding.

Hotel Reehorst is a top hotel! Staff are also incredibly welcoming and try their best to give you a lovely time. We had also booked the cocktail experience, also highly recommended.

Good hotel for the price. Clean and quiet rooms. 2% charge for card payments in 2018 is a bit odd.

Prima Hotel basic rooms are very basic nothing cozy. May also be a mood lamp on the ceiling. Or here and there a renewal in the bathroom because the price does not lie. Furthermore, the hotel is nicely decorated including the breakfast room. It is very cozy and atmospheric and the breakfast is extensive.
The luxury rooms differ from the basic rooms but the contrast is very large.

Went to TedxEde. The space provided was great! The theater was nice with comfortable chairs, and the hotel accommodated very nicely.

I slept here one night in a Suite, fantastic beautiful suite for a good price. Incidentally, we had a delicious meal here. And friendly staff.

Hotel never visited but had a conference more often. Always well organized. Plenty of parking but not paying attention to whether the wheelchair is accessible.

Nice congress centre. Spacious. Nicely decorated. Great lunches and bites. And great coffee.

This is the hotel, my soon to be wife and I will remember. Here, my girlfriend took me by surprise for my birthday. When we arrived at the suite, I recieved a plate with chocolates and a birthday card from the team from Reehorst. Thats what I call special! But it was also the day I would propose to her. AND SHE SAID YES!!!

In the Fusion bar, the bartender helped me to make it more special. I mean, Rose petals, chocolates... Cas, if you read this, thank you!
And also every team member from Reehorst who helpled me with everything and made everything just more special.

We will be there again and I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants that little more special touch!!!

The decor just could not be more beautiful at this hotel! Everything was modern and clean, I especially liked the bathroom and shower.
Breakfast was worth every Euro, would highly recommend the pancakes.

OMG ... what an experience ... hotel Reehorst is a soul and body treat ... Is the best thing you can do if you go through ... book a Suite and get pampered ... Where do I start. .. great welcome ... gift on arrival ... super friendly and knowledgeable staff .. beautiful hotel ... artwork from walls to vases to decor and amenities ... good food at Zuzu ... and the Suite is breathtaking. ..the Mega large whirlpool bath, king-size bed ... rain shower, decor and lighting ... the couch is lovely but the bed is divine ... stuffed minibar included ... 3D movies included ... Rituals products included ... .a luxury of a high level ... highly recommended ... for repeaters ... Class hotel

Not nice accommodation. Noisy, terrible acoustics, bad seats, nasty lighting, failing audio ......... Food was okay but could also be better.

Hotel Reehorst is highly recommended, especially the president suite.
We were in the President Suite for 2 nights and it was wonderful.
We were received very friendly at check-in and check-out, because we were in a suite, we got all kinds of things like a filled mini bar and 3D movies to watch in the room.

We had breakfast included but that was also possible to convert that to room service and that is definitely recommended, we wok not all of breakfast.

The suite is nicely decorated and for what is in the room is not too small.

Although the outside looks a lot less nice compared to the inside, but that doesn't spoil it, when you enter the hotel it is very beautiful.

Definitely recommended if you want to spend a good, beautiful overnight stay.

We had room 603, a nice room with a jacuzzi, 3dtv, nice bed and a stocked minibar. I also got chocolates because it was my birthday. The room itself is good, but there are a few things that could be improved ... the skirting boards and walls could use new paint. There were also holes in a towel. The breakfast was good. The price of the room is quite high for what you get.

Very excited about our stay in the presedential suite. You definitely get your money's worth. It is a pricey room, but ...! Xxl jacuzzi with mood lighting above (Mandala) and in the jacuzzi, rituals soap and shampoo, a suitcase with 3D movies, a soundbar that can also be connected with Bluetooth to put your own music on, everything in the minibar was included in the room price (kind of free, no choice in), goodie bag from Cortez with Brute champagne. The shower is also equipped with various colors of mood lighting and 3 positions with massage options. Mega bed and mega lounge corner. I was also very enthusiastic about the light settings in the overall room: dimmed light of 0%, 25%, 50% or 100%.

Negatives: Cocktails in the restaurant were weak and mainly consisting of orange juice. Eating all over "mwah". (Seasoned fries very tasty and restaurant looks very nice).

A company with 2 faces. The suite was beautifully and lovingly decorated. Staff are friendly and ZuZu restaurant is good enough. On the other hand, the company makes a different impression when you come from the parking lot, as if something has been added by another architect and they did not really know what they wanted. Too bad if you enter at 2.45 pm you have to wait 15 minutes before you can check in.

Cozy, well equipped with good rooms and excellent catering

We use the Reehorst often for business guests. They take great effort to know their regulars, for example shown by having the usual drink arriving upon arrival with just a nod. Dirk is especially attentive. The hotel is very close to the railway station. Guests walk there in a few minutes, just an hour after getting on the train at Schiphol. Their focus is events meaning that there are few regulars. The food concept was good, but aimed at 1-off customers. Things are being redesigned and for the moment it means limited dinner options (Oct 2017). But I trust after the works have been completed, the food services will be excellent again.

Been on day about fybromialgie .... excellent care ... nice location ... small tip ... slightly more seats in space where coffee and lunch were served because of many people with pain! Furthermore, fine!

the welcome and service was excellent. I found the Reehorst itself a bit tatty. especially if you come from the parking lot. some pieces are ok. other parts really need a modern makeover
