Nice location, very friendly staff. Prices ok for Amsterdam

Great spot to relax for coffee, beer or a light meal

Ordered only drinks and we waited for 30 minutes for a glass of wine and a beer and the place was not crowded. The service was very poor and also the bathroom was so dirty and smelly and next to the kitchen. There was a smell of rotten fish near the kitchen and bathroom. I would NOT order food from here because it didn't look hygienic.

Very neat place, service good. I had fish with scampi and vegetables and it was delicious.

The staff at this place is very very very nice. The girl waiting our table felt made us feel so much home and acceptable unlike the usual, we ordered more than we wanted too. Very nice place. The hummus was amazeballs. The staff felt like stage actors based on the way they moved around the restaurant .. but truly a good cozy place to go to

What everyone should know is that the Bar is the center of our democracy, everything can be debated here. Word and reply ... In addition, they have excellent coffee and excellent staff here !!!!

Good place to sit down and have a meal/lunch! They have a large selection of beers and wine and the staff is very helpfull! 5 stars worthy!

Our waitress was really nice so the service was good, they had vegan options and non vegan so all my group had something to be happy with, the food was good and the ambient was also nice!

We had a surprisingly good meal last Saturday in the restaurant of the Balie. The menu is mainly vegan and vegan oriented, but they also serve a delicious piece of meat for lovers

For me a reasonable coffee (with a cookie) and my newspaper is the criterion

Pleasant open space in the area, not a tourist trap. Decent offer of drinks and food. Abonimable service (you can sit here for an hour without being served)

Inspiring cafe / restaurant with a cultural character. During the day you can enjoy working here, play games or have a drink and in the evening there are both simple burgers and culinary dishes! It is also a film house.

Programming with a message! Great, drink food, really everything within reach. Even get something in between, no problem. What a beautiful appearance, this old cantonal court building has fortunately been preserved, thanks to Felix Rottenberg and others .. Also suitable for conferences and / or a private gathering.

Busy on weeknights because people come out from a show and grab some drinks and make conversation after. Lots of nice films too, quitea few in Dutch but not all

We had to wait quite a while before the waiter noticed us, but the coffee we got was nice and so is the atmosphere.

You can sit outside or inside. The decorations inside the cafe is cozy, sit near to the window so can feel fresh air come in (it's for summer time) i tried to order lemon cake and it's yummy

The restaurant Zier looks nice. The staff is extremely friendly. I was on the second floor, which was actually closed, but I was allowed to sit there anyway. There was large on the plate if the guests who still sat upstairs wanted to order at the bar, but the staff came up despite the huge crowds, really great. The lady behind the bar with dark curls was super sweet and thoughtful, a real asset to the company. I will definitely come back here.

A haven away from the Leidseplein madness, serving lovely dishes with friendly and accommodating service. Big windows and booth seating at the bar area let you keeps eye on the street and on a Sunday day terrace seating is available outside. Be sure to check out the film screening calendar and tie on a cinema experience after dinner.

I had been there for the first time on September 10, 2010Night guests TF special Edition and after the show I drank and talked about the theater piece

Good place to have breakfast or a quick but tasty dinner.

We only wanted to drink a beer, but after 5 minutes we went to the bar to ask, because they did not act on their own. They were so busy while it was almost empty. And the toilets stink for years.

It is a 19th century court house they hose theater, social and political debates. It closes at 12AM.

Nice bar with very friendly staff, prices are also very reasonable by Amsterdam standards.

I often come there for something to eat when I go to concerts in Paradiso. Pretty good. And they shoot very good (art) films in their pleasant cinema

Good location for average meetings, unfortunately the vegatable bitterballen are a tad too salty.

Everything was great: the food was delicious and the service very nice and attentive. And we got a carafe of tap water with dinner. I'll definitely return.

Every visit a great experience. The extremely friendly service stands out. The lunch refined. Recommended.
