DACER provided the best care for my dog. They also provided all information regarding his status. My dog was not ambulatory when he came in snd despite that they loved on him and tried to make him as comfortable as they could. I appreciate the staff's compassion they showed knowing how serious my dogs condition was. They never once gave me the impression that they weren't doing everything possible to help him.
I absolutely love the online check in system. Especially being a first time client (thankfully) to Denton County Animal ER, I feel the system allowed smooth communication between myself, the receptionists, and the doctor. The efficiency of the entire visit was wonderful! I was there longer than l anticipated, but emergencies don't exactly ask us or our pets if it's a convenient time to pop into our lives and I appreciate all that is done to triage and give great care in timely manner.
My daughter and I took our sweet girl Missy there because she was not doing well. I was upset that we couldn't go inside with our baby girl because of covid. Amanda helped us and we let her take Our Missy girl. They explained everything to me. We had to make the toughest decision of putting our Missy girl to sleep. Amanda came out to my car multiple times to check on us, to keep us updated and to give us a hug. I can't thank Amanda enough for being so caring during this difficult time for us. RIP Missy Lou Who
Wow they made every single step of my cats critical care needs met. Everyone was so kind and understanding. They even worked with me on a payment plan. The doctor also was extremely knowledgeable. Thank you for your amazing work!
Our pup got into some cold medicine and we called Denton Animal Hospital right away. It was very scary but they walked us through what we needed to do and they were waiting for us outside when we arrived. Very nice staff and they took great care of Scout! Very appreciative of care they provided to our pet. They were very thorough and made sure he was doing better before we took him home. They explained everything and told us what to watch for when we got home. Scout is doing great!
What a great place!! I would give 10 stars if I could! They are very professional, caring and compassionate. Our dog was in a lot of pain from an abscess that came out of nowhere and ruptured. Of course this was on a Saturday evening, thank God we found this ER. They came out to our vehicle and picked him up, we waited in the parking lot until they called us. The doctor was extremely pleasant to talk to and answered all of our questions. We were then sent an estimate, followed by a phone call that went over the charges. We approved the estimate and our dog was all fixed up in a couple of hours. He has been home for 5 days now and they've called several times to follow up! This is an ER, so I know people are concerned that it is going to cost a fortune, but they really are more affordable than you think. Our fee was around $400 including medication, which I felt was extremely reasonable. Just like any hospital, you are paying for the knowledgeable staff and readily available equipment in case it is needed, they are most likely going to be higher than a standard vet. If you are reading this, just put your phone in your pocket and take your pet here, you will not regret it.
My dog Romeo was having diarrhea for a few days and it had changed to bloody so we took him in. Everyone we spoke to was very kind and compassionate. Although I wish they had sent me more updates, they took great care of him and he was able to come home the next evening. We were given clear directions on medications and what to watch for over the next few days. He is doing much better now. Thank you! I would absolutely bring my pets back to this location in an emergency.
Last night we ran into this ER vet with our baby, Astaroth, who died suddenly just 2 minutes away, on our way. The staff took him in and immediately began trying to revive him.
It was too late, 10 or so minutes and we were greeted by the Dr who gave us the news I expected. That it may be time to call it. He was putting it as nicely as possible, but I understood. He was compassionate as ever, comforting to hear speak. He explained what he believed might have happened to our precious baby, and spoke with kindness, and warmth as he did so. My cat died last night and nothing can stop the pain I feel. He was only barely 5 years old.
But the staff here was wonderful. They were sweet, empathetic, and they did their best to save him. I don't think enough credit is given to heroes like these people.
They are doing one of the hardest jobs to do. As a former embalmer, I understand how tender the last moments are for families.
And my cat was just that. Family. And I trust him in their care even though he is gone. They wrapped him in a wonderful blanket he would have loved, and let us say goodbye for as long as we needed to.
Thank you, for trying to save him. He is 1/4th of a family of me, my husband, and our other cat Aleister. Astaroth was a rescue and grew up with Aleister in our home, he was loved. So much. I cannot have children.. So these two boys are my entire universe. My babies. Thank you, for doing your best.
Mr. Bosco, our chocolate lab had been coughing all day, and we were unable to get in our busy vet's office. Denton County Animal ER was able to see Mr. Bosco in a timely manner, assess him, and prescribe medication. They were friendly, professional, and kept me informed. Due to Covid-19, they come out to your car, get your Animal, and communicate through text and phone calls. Highly recommend this facility when your fur baby is sick. Many thanks to the vet and staff!

From the minute I called, in a panic, until I took my healthy dog home, the staff was kind, courteous and caring. The vet was amazing... she did what was needed without adding extra diagnostics. She offered two treatment plans. The cost was just a little over what my regular vet would charge (like $20 more) and this happened on Easter Sunday! I highly recommend them.
