We were excited to try this place. Food took forever, order was wrong and service was terrible. Didn't even bother to bring the correct order out. Fajitas were good though.

The new, "Deep Fried Cosmopolitan" is incredible! You will be missing out if you skip it. The enchiladas are great. The "pollo san lorenzo" is very good as well. The service was very fast and the atmosphere is relaxing and authentic. I'm excited to tried the rest of the menu.

Have eaten here many times, and always have a great meal!! The chimichurri sauce is to die for, as is many other great dishes. This place is like old time Mexican food but they turn it up a notch. $2 margaritas on Wednesday, can't beat that! Prices are reasonable as well for what you get!

Went for first time last night and I loved the salsa but the best thing was the desperado steak tacos. Best taco around! Seriously! Try it out! Thursday's after 5 they're on sale.

Fair food and drink prices

Desperados has always been in my top 5 for Texmex in Dallas. Although the last visit the service and quality of the entree did not live up to previous visits. Hopefully this is not the norm from now on.

I had had a bad experience the last two times, but they have really improved it seems! Juan was fantastic and the salsa was definitely the best I've had yet in Dallas.

After having tried several Mexican restaurants local to my home. Desperados has quickly won over my heart and tastebuds. Upon walking in the door the feel as if you have been teleported to Mexico itself. The staff and management are always so friendly and accommodating. The food here is 2nd to none, always Fresh and delicious! And the atmosphere is warm and inviting. If you have a hard time deciding what to order from their delectable menu choices. Worry not! As their staff is always willing to help paint a picture for you to help with you decision. And if you are still undecided, or want more variety. Order the "El Trentaycinco" or 35. A hidden gem that is not on the menu, but offers you a taste of their best entree items. Ranging from perfectly cooked to order steak medallions, grilled bacon wrapped Shrimp, a light and fluffy chicken flauta, paired with a Chipoltle Mango Tequila salsa. It is absolutely to die for! If you have been struggling to find the best of the best in Texmex. Look no further.....Desperados is your place!

I love the food at Desperados. The food can be described as true Mexican fare that is more upscale than most places. Wednesday evenings are 2 dollars margaritas which makes for a great night. The menu has some tex-mex options, but I would recommend getting to more authentic Mexican food.

The decor is a little older, but has a southwestern feel. The service is usually very good and all the servers are very nice to the customers.

The margaritas were good along with the chips and salsa. I was surprised by the small portion sizes given the price. Luckily, I was full from the chips and salsa. Nonetheless the tacos were decent.

Desperados tacos are the way to go. I get them everytime. I have swayed away to other great options but I always come back to the tacos!

Great food! I've gotten two meals to go and they were both very tasty. First one was the Tex Mex meal with a cheese enchilada and puffed beef taco. The enchiladas come with a chili con carne type sauce. The puffed taco was kind of hard to eat but still good.

The second meal I got was the Desperado Tacos with beef. These were incredible and I highly recommend them. I got all of this food for about $11 so definitely worth it.

Both meals came with a huge bag of chips and salsa which I wasn't expecting because I did take out. The salsa was nice, not too spicy but has a good kick. Great chips too. Had plenty left over for a later snack.

Good service. Flautas were big, crispy and fluffy. Salsa Verde served hot with chill salsa roja. House margarita happy hour specials are a good deal.

Amazing tacos. The hard shells are crispy but don't fall apart. Served with slices of fresh avacados. Super fast service too!

It wasn t the best Tex-Mex I ve ever had but it certainly wasn t the worst. I would put it in the average category. The service was fine but it didn t appear to be a busy night.

One of my favorite Texmex places. Atmosphere is rustic border mission style with nostalgic memorabilia and art. The good: Food is very good 4 stars. Service is fast and friendly. Manager often visits our table even when it's busy. The bad: Building feels like it needs a good cleaning. Overall, I recommend highly.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Dallas!! They offer both Tex-Mex and Mex-Mex, both are amazing!! An especially good deal is the Tex-Mex plate with four items. I eat two and take two home for lunch the next day. Can't say enough about the quality of the food and staff! Jake and his family have created a wonderful dining experience!

Desperados was great as usual. No matter what we choose for dinner, it is always good. One of the many things we like about the restaurant-consistancy. Reuben took really good care of us too. He is the best!
