Dags & Willow fine cheese & gourmet shop Review

Dags and Willow is a excellent gourmet food shop with excellent service owned by Kelly and Steven. This has been a must stop in our family from the beginning back in early 2000s.

I have been going to this cheese shop for years and have always thought it was great until today. It is not legal to only ask for a credit card or e transfer. I will never go there again. If anyone even mentions them I will tell them my experience and how horrible it was. Get a portable debit machine or follow the law and take Canadian money. Nothing good will come out of my mouth about DAGS and WILLOWS

Excellent cheese shop, one of the best in Ontario. Also have meats, jellies and crafts from local artists.

Dags & Willow has a nice selection of fine cheeses and is a must for any cheese lover in the collingwood area! They also have some cool stuff to check out upstairs while your there.

Great selection of fresh cheeses. Good customer service, but your young workers would be better if they had more of a personality so that they are able to converse and make the customers feel happy. A lot of young kids who work retail can hardly talk, they dont smile, and they dont understand jokes or gestures and body language. The older people are lively, polite and understand manners and customer service.

What knowledgable staff they have. Of course a great selection of cheeses and they have some good hostess gifts as well.

Favourite place to get my favorite things. P.S. GET THE BUTTER from France!!! Will change your life!

This place has the best cheese selection around and very helpful staff. They have curbside pick-up down to an art and still provide a personal touch when we have to be apart. An amazing local business to support!

We love many of the cheeses they import, especially the French or Italian. Wow. The French grass fed butter is well worth the extra money as well. They'll bake a fresh 'Fred's bread' if you call ahead. Excellent store.

Wow! So glad they've reopened their doors! The best selection of cheeses in the region. Service on the other hand not so good. They bark at you the second you walk in to follow protocols. Fair enough.... However, their staff didnt change their gloves once while we were visiting. Infact, one lady went from sweeping the floor and handling a dustpan, to promptly cutting our cheese. No change of gloves, No handwashing.... From dirty broom to fine cheese. We opted out, and pointed out their lax in covid protocols. They were defensive and nearly speechless. Great selection of fine cheeses and specialty food products, a needed stop prior to the weekend entertaining

There are so many delicious cheeses and other foods. My favourite is the asiago dip.

Food is great (cheese, meats, deserts and many more) however being a store that deals in fine cheese and meats, it is very expensive. Although you are paying for quality, which is always top notch.

I would not recommend going there. The owner is ignorant and during this pandemic they make you grab a basket even if you are only going in for one thing behind the counter. I asked not to have a basket and I was told that wasn t possible. After leaving my basket the owner rudely asked me to pick it up and was extremely aggressive in his tone. Furthermore I called in a head and asked if I could pre order the one cheese I wanted and they said they weren t taking pre orders as they would rather the people come directly in the store to shop??? How is this covid friendly? Honestly in these times this is absolutely disgusting. I would not recommend going there especially during this pandemic. Glad the lock down is coming so hopefully people will be safe and not shop there.

Tight ship when it comes to COVID rules.. it s such a stressful time ppl .. let s make life easy and follow whatever rules are set by small businesses.. they re doing their best.. not to mention great staff and products.. when you give love you get love! If you don t like it then stay home and say nothing at all

Great little cheese shop with a wonderful selection of French cheese. We really enjoy their French grass-fed butter. They also have excellent homemade desserts and Frozen pre-made dinners like lasagna. Great customer service.

Fantastic shop, great cheese, bread etc. Nice desserts to. I stop in on ski days for a gool ol chunk of Manchego for hill snackin'! The best!
