Did a lot of work on our airplane back in the 1980's. Engine is getting close to TBO, and as we get older, we have decided to sell. But we are now finding out that this company snookered us by putting an old STC on our airplane when more recent ones where available. Which supposedly didn't use the appropriate crankshaft and/or propeller. So they say they can give us a new STC if we want to pay them $9,000. What i don't understand is why we didn't get it in the first place?
