"Mounted the D'Shannon HP Exhaust on my D'Shannon engine and lower engine baffles to our IO-520, seeing a solid 7 knots in cruise after the installation. We are seeing climb performance improvements of significant numbers, CHT numbers have stayed stable and fuel flows have remained constant." I would never have expected an increase in performance of that amount. Wow!
Did a lot of work on our airplane back in the 1980's. Engine is getting close to TBO, and as we get older, we have decided to sell. But we are now finding out that this company snookered us by putting an old STC on our airplane when more recent ones where available. Which supposedly didn't use the appropriate crankshaft and/or propeller. So they say they can give us a new STC if we want to pay them $9,000. What i don't understand is why we didn't get it in the first place? Beware of this company!
