Very efficient, very pleased with this scheme and have a great bike at the end of the process, thanks!
Really positive. Great levels of communication, very positive and prepared to help when some ends of the chain don't go according to plan
Only problem was choosing a bike, everything went smoother than clockwork
Easy process, great range of cycle shops to choose from (recommend Strype Street Cycles) and freedom to build your package as you see fit. Might get a new bike every year.....
The whole process from application to get my bike and accessories at the store was efficient, straightforward and easy.
Bad company: takes weeks to get answer by mail (if any answer), take a long time to callback (prepare to wait). They have a good ability to forgot about you or your exchanges...
Good scheme to get you onto a decent bike through your employer, nice and easy application process.
I decided to use Cyclescheme to buy a bike and cycle to work. I live in Isleworth, Middlesex and I work in Kings's Cross, so my daily round trip is 25 miles. I must say it is an amazing experience, not as difficult as I thought, I arrive to work faster than public transport (it takes me 1.30hr on the tube, on the bike it takes me 1.15hr and I will get fitter and faster). Plus you see London from a totally different perspective and you get to enjoy London too. Thank you so much this is just amazing experience.
Everything was well-explained, the process was easy to follow and very clear. Highly recommended!
Dead easy to apply and use the scheme to buy a bike and save a lot of money
Unfortunately, after a month of nagging I was unable to get the Cyclescheme offer as I only work part time. They wouldn't take into account that I earnt money from other sources which was really disappointing as I'd love to be able to cycle to work! I've had a look on other websites and you can actually buy a similar bike to the one I wanted with a 0% interest scheme for the same amount/cheaper without going through your employer and the Cyclescheme
I had a good experience: online voucher then applied with cycle retailers etc. WAs fine
Sadly was unable to get a bike using Cyclescheme as their vouchers cannot be used in Halfords where I had chosen a bike i liked .(or Evans, or Decathlon i've since found out!?) As much as i would like to purchase a bike, im reluctant to spend full amount until my local authority joins other schemes such as 'Cycle 2work' and gives us a full choice on where we can buy ! or Cyclescheme includes all other retailers. Ps. wanted to give NO stars.
Excellent experience! My employer joined Cyclescheme after I asked them if it was possible for me to get a bike like that and all in all, from employer applying to me riding me bike, it took 2 weeks, 2-3 days for delivery included. The website was very easy to navigate, it had lots of retailers, and the voucher arrived in no time. I went with Evans Cycle as a store and had a great experience. Quick, very, very polite, and they put everything together for me. I'm now happily riding!
The best thing I have done for years i have had a bike for 25years not been on it very much so I decided to get a new one through the C2W Ive got the bug I feel great more energy and generally my wellbeing is much better.
Please don't use this company they do their best not to pay bike shops and are rude and abusive.
Terrible customer service. Have been trying to get my bike for over a month and have had no reply from them, company-wide. Would change to another scheme if I hadn't already payed a deposit at the shop for the bike I want.
a great tax efficient way of getting a bike if your employer is a member of the scheme.
Very impressive scheme which has saved me a wodge of cash....can't see any down sides?
Quick authorisation, prompt payment to bike shop, promoting cycling, all round makes sense! If you're getting a bike and the schemes available: no brainer
A great scheme & an excellent way to afford an e-bike. It's made me enjoy cycling again in a very hilly part of the country - South Devon. Now, the hills don't exist!
used to be slow but now lightning fast. happy to take calls and responsive. fast tracks NHS employees. you'd be crazy not to buy a bike now and use a cycle to work scheme. took 3 days for me
Got my E-Bike 5 days ago and i,m loving the freedom to cycle in the hilly area that i live. Collected my bike less than 24hrs after receiving my certificate.
Do not use this option if you want to buy a bike. Save up, lend from a friend but the cyclescheme is a bad choice. There are hidden chargers and a ownership fee. The discount you may get isn't even very good compared to end of season sales.. Happy cycling :) especially if you didn't buy your bike through the cycle to work scheme. It's not your bike and the cycle to work scheme is a business! YOUR OWNERSHIP FEE IS DUE You will be liable for tax charges if you do not commit to an ownership option immediately
Amazing experience. My voucher came to me within 24hours from my employer. Bike is still being built but expected soon. My last cycle to work bike has done me well for 10 years but needed upgrading. Can't wait for my shiny new bike I have saved a huge amount of money too
Very happy with service provided. The whole experience with the cycle store as well was very proficient.

About Cyclescheme, Bath
Tax is complicated. Cyclescheme isn't. It's a low effort, high impact employee benefit that gets staff cycling with savings of 25-39% on bikes and accessories.
Cyclescheme, Bath: Revolutionizing Employee Benefits with Cycling
Cycling is not just a mode of transportation; it's a way of life. It's an eco-friendly, cost-effective, and healthy alternative to driving or taking public transport. However, not everyone has the means or motivation to cycle regularly. That's where Cyclescheme comes in - a company that makes cycling accessible and affordable for employees through its innovative employee benefit program.
Cyclescheme was founded in 2005 by Richard Grigsby and Gary Cooper with the mission to promote cycling as a sustainable mode of transport while improving the health and wellbeing of employees. The company is based in Bath, UK but operates nationwide with over 50 partner retailers.
The concept behind Cyclescheme is simple yet effective - employers can offer their staff tax-free bikes and accessories as part of their salary sacrifice scheme. This means that employees can save up to 39% on the cost of their bike and equipment while spreading the payments over 12 months through salary deductions.
But how does it work? Let's say you want to buy a bike worth £1000 through Cyclescheme. Your employer will purchase the bike on your behalf using pre-tax income from your salary (up to £1,000). You then pay back this amount over 12 months via salary deductions (usually around £83 per month). As a result, you save up to 39% on the cost of your bike because you're paying for it before tax.
Moreover, Cyclescheme offers flexible payment options such as upfront payments or extended repayment periods for more expensive bikes or equipment. Employees can also choose from various partner retailers across different categories such as road bikes, mountain bikes, electric bikes, accessories like helmets or locks etc., making it easier for them to find what they need at competitive prices.
But why should employers consider offering Cyclescheme as an employee benefit? Firstly, promoting cycling among staff can have numerous benefits such as reducing carbon emissions from commuting by car or public transport; improving physical fitness levels which leads to fewer sick days; boosting morale by providing an attractive perk that promotes work-life balance; attracting new talent who value sustainability initiatives etc.
Secondly, implementing Cyclescheme is easy and hassle-free for employers thanks to its online platform that handles all aspects of administration including ordering bikes/equipment from partner retailers; managing payroll deductions; providing support materials like posters/emails etc.; tracking usage statistics etc.
Thirdly, offering Cyclescheme doesn't require any additional costs for employers since they're simply redirecting pre-tax income towards purchasing bicycles instead of paying higher salaries/wages which would incur higher taxes/NI contributions anyway!
Lastly but most importantly - offering Cyclesheme helps companies meet their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals by promoting sustainable practices within their organization while also contributing positively towards society at large.
In conclusion,CycleScheme has revolutionized employee benefits programs by making cycling accessible and affordable for everyone regardless if they are experienced cyclists or beginners looking into starting this healthy habit.Their innovative approach has made them one-of-a-kind in this industry, and we highly recommend them!
