I love the history, the atmosphere of work and changing times on the river. These pictures are of when the Disney Cruise ship visited the River Tyne, docked at North Shields. They are taken from The Customs House Mill Dam from from the view of the statue that is dedicated to the merchant sea men. I thought it contrasted the old working life on the sea with the modern luxury of the liner.
Can't wait for this place to reopen hopefully not to long

Great outdoor entertainment free and fun for little ones.
The guys working on the shows did free entertainment and it was a blast and a welcome relief in difficult times.

Great place for a picnic..... (if its warm and sunny). Free parking. The area is clean and tidy. Nice views ower the watter
Lovely vista, even when shut during covid times, it's a pretty area for a walk or just a watch.
The occasions I've been there which has been for the cinema, the seats are very uncomfortable (to be honest I
think they need updating).
I would advise to take in your own sweets, pop, ect as it is over priced to buy in the premise.
I would love to come here for a performance once we get normality back
