Excellent food, definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Leicestershire. Pro Tip: Try the pili pili chicken and the prawns. Absolutely heaven. Yes, the prices are not cheap, however you get what you pay for.

I have been coming to Curry Fever for many years when Sunil ran it. It has been sold and is under new management. To my dismay and disgust, I discovered that the Hindu owners are selling HALAL meat without advertising the fact on the door. The Manager actually brought me the laminated certificate. I was beyond disgusted and won't go back. The standard of food is poor when compared against Sunil's offering. I urge any Hindu, Sikh or Christian to think twice about supporting a business that offers HALAL meat without announcing it on the door. Additionally the hygiene and general cleanliness isn't as good as when it was under the former management. A definite no no for me and many others.

The most tasty food on Belgrave road as well as in the area. Excellent service, and staff have always been friendly and professional whether that's for takeaway or eat in. Definitely a place to keep in mind when visiting!

Visited for an early dinner with family. We ordered the prawn biryani, afghan murg chicken, aubergine paste curry and lamb takatak. Food was delicious and the kids ate twice their usual amount then raved about it after. Service was really good too and the chef kindly accommodated our request for a nut free mild curry which was a hit with the children.

Ever since someone else took over the restaurant, the customer service has dropped as well as the food taste and quality. I would recommend trying out the food you normally would have and which you know very well.

Ordered takeaway from here many times and ordered chilli paneer and got chilli mogo manager argued he heard mogo when it was clearly chilli paneer. I had 4 people listening to my order when ordering and they all heard what I had ordered and he still wouldn't give up the fact that I ordered chilli paneer. I would reconsider ordering from here and if you do......make sure you check your food.....even if they are wrong the won't admit it so. I wouldn't hold your breath for an apology. To add I don't think the food is fresh the nann was cold and burnt and the curry had no taste.

This is a great non-veg Indian in Leicester. It's a little more pricey than other Indians but it is well worth it. One of my favourite dishes is the Lamb Palak (i.e. spinach) and Bhatura. A good place to go with the family or the lads. I highly recommend the place.

Food was very good, service was outstanding. Literally 10 stars.

My mum wasn't satisfied with a dish, a complimentary dessert and a dish to suit her taste was promptly made. Which I might was excellent.

The meat plater was rubbish clearly not fresh meat. The waiter said that it was his first day so he could not do anything about it as the owner was not in. The lamb curry and chilli chicken were OK.

I was recommended this place from a friends .Decided to come on Saturday with guests .we specially came from Birmingham and mentioned to one of the staff members it was my first visit however i was offered free popadom as complimentary. The food was not so bad and so was the service but we did find it very unusual when the chef was walking around to the tables with apron on and asking whether the food was good and he was laughing out loudly which made it even strange and in between we wanted extra chapati and we had to order it to the chef as he was next to our table and he quickly rushed of to the kitchen and lauding about chapati what a chef, first time experiencing this new thing in the restaurant very strange and awkward.

It was really awesome experience today. Great taste. Me and my family went in evening around 4pm. All of us loved the taste n menu. Lamb Biryani and served gravy was awesome. Nan was very soft, mirch masala chikrn was also nice. I would recommend all my food loving friends. Forgot, we also had meat platter as starter which was to be mentioned. It was yummy. Chef personally came to us and asked about the food and our feedback. We appreciated him ...

Just spent a delightful afternoon today (21/02/2020) at Curry Fever with my husband. First visit and we will certainly return. Our host welcomed us warmly and was very attentive throughout our time there. The food was amazing; everything from appearance, taste, temperature through to flavour was satisfying. The atmosphere was great and we had nothing to complain about. Thank you.

I had booked a table for 6 a few days in advance for a Mothers Day meal.

I had made the restaurant aware that we will have a 4 month baby with us and that we will bring along a baby stroller, the guy that i spoke to when making the booking was fine with our request and made the booking.

We arrived at the restaurant on Saturday 25th March 2017 at 7pm, to be told that the restaurant cannot accommodate a baby stroller, i asked to speak to the owner, the owner was rude and belligerent and turned his back on us, stating that he cant do anything to help us.

This is not a restaurant that is child friendly or customer friendly.

I would never come to such disgraceful restaurant again...customer service doesnt exist but the absence of manners and rude management does in abundance...NEVER AGAIN!

The only place I get curry now. It may be more expensive but it doesn't feel heavy and it still taste great. The service is impeccable but the restaurant feels like a cupboard. The takeaway system is shocking as there is no delivery option but they are accommodating and friendly. The fact that the curry doesn't punch you in the bowels after you eat it is enough to come here every time. Curry done properly.

When we looked at the menu we were impressed with the veriety of dishes available and we're looking forward to it, however when we sat down, table cloths were stained and dirty, the forks and knives still had dried food on them, the chilli chips was cold when they arrived and when reheated they were microwaved my curry was terrible I ordered the vegetarian main which had more oil then vegetable I thought America would invade my plate! Ps the drinks were flatter then my roti. A disappointing experience and the prices were no where near my experience.

First takeaway off Deliveroo and it was delicious, nicest curry I ve had in a long time! Full of flavour and big portions. The mint sauce is slightly sour which is the only thing I can fault but it s hardly a fault, 10/10 for the butter chicken and chilli paneer

if you look most white people get preferential treatment. Indian people are treated really poor. It is strange as when you go to an England place as colored person they give you really poor people. Indian restaurants are subservient to white people give them the best table. Much bigger portions and treat you with a reverence. Indian restaurants seriously need to treat all people with the same reverence and value all instead of pandering to white clientele. English places would not give the same or elevate Indian people above the whites, in-fact they treat you so poorly in the hope you don't come back again. Passive aggression . As prior to the drafting and legislative law to make it an offence to say we wont serve no Irish Wogs or dogs they would tell you to vacate the premises. Even in country pubs they do not like Indian males coming in. Indian women are welcomed contrary. This establishment doe the polar opposite, they pander to the white males who ridicule them by calling them Abdul, Sabu and Gungaddin. Wake up Indian restaurants and treat your own kind with equity and treat white people with the same respect they afford Indians!

As a veggie from northern Indian I tried two dishes aloo Gobi and takka daal....both just as mum made it. Service great. Decor strangely set in 70's yet weirdly comforting. Did not try toilets. Will definitely visit again.

Visited again and reflected:

Over priced
Dreadful toilets
Very expensive
Non responsive customer service but
Great food

Would I go again ...no ....not at those prices ...Passage to Indan ansty better, cleaner and half price !
