I did my Work and Travel program with CHI as my sponsor on 2018 and it was a great experience. There was some issues with my employer and they were supportive and willing to help me all the time. That is a good thing when you are so far from home. It makes you feel like you are not alone. Apart from that, they are so active in social medias. Always sharing events, curious facts and cultural activities to involve their students and promote the cultural interchange. Totally recommend it!

Great people, great organisation uniting the people from all over the world.

Our family does not recommend CHI. We worked with CHI for several years and kept hoping they'd get better -- they got worse. The au pairs felt intimidated by CHI to the point they asked me to deal with CHI on their behalf. Here are highlights of the problems. 1) CHI scheduled au pair Skype interviews such that au pairs had to wake at 4am their time (when it was convenient for CHI) -- but then CHI failed to show up on Skype -- this happened multiple times. 2) CHI provided pathetic health insurance and didn't cover au pairs during their travel month -- a fact CHI hid in fine print. Au pairs and their friends (also with CHI) were shocked to learn they would have no health insurance during travel month unless they purchased it. CHI became belligerent when asked about the travel month insurance issue. 3) CHI chose the cheapest flights possible -- including so many stops that flight plans didn't even appear on airline websites and flights that would have required middle-of-the-night trips to the airport. I often spent hours each week advocating for the au pair (figuring out health insurance, finding better flights, investigating tax guidance, etc), because the au pairs felt intimidated by CHI and received such confusing guidance from CHI. This became so frustrating that I had to contact the State Department (they oversee the au pair program). I spoke with others who used CHI, and they encountered similar problems. Save your frustrations and choose a different au pair program.

As a program sponsor CHI has a very successful profile in SWT , Trainee and Internship programs. CHI allows university students to experience USA through travel and allows them to engage cultural activities by placing them into nice jobs within urban centers. CHI completes most Turkish students SWT program interviews within two days and generally completes their job offer forms in 5 minutes. All the employees are well trained professionals.
