Yeah, absolute garbage of an institution. Went in with back spasms so bad it took me half an hour to get from my porch to the truck to go in to the ER. Told me to take ibuprofen and sent me home.

Wait time pertinent to emergency, nurses prompt and caring, Doctors direct and to the point, billing has prompt pay for cash customers like myself. In all two thumbs up.
My husband suffered a heart attack a few weeks ago so we ended up in the ER. I have never had such friendly and helpful nurses and Doctors. He ended up in CCU after surgery and the nurses there took such good care of him. They went out of their way to keep me informed about his health. I wouldn't hesitate to take him or any of my family back to Cullman Regional.
I was having chest pains so I ended up at the ER. Within 30 minutes they had me in surgery to have stents, then up to CCU for 2 days. From the moment I walked in, every Doctor, nurse, tech, even housekeeping, were incredible. I will be sure to always use Cullman Regional for my "hospital" needs and I highly recommend that you do to.
My worst experience ever after spinal surgery after day shift went home they wouldn't turn off the alarm on my monitor so I took it to the nurse station and on and on then a Male nurse told me he couldn't administer my medication because my pain level wasn't high enough. He told me I had to be kicking and screaming in the floor
The dr was excellent and so was the nurses they seemed really concerned and didn t have to wait every time I pressed call light they was right there!!!! I would recommend CRMC to anyone and also at discharge they explained everything I ll definitely be going there from now on the hour drive from moulton is well worth the care
I took my husband to Cullman regional yesterday told them what was going on..all they did was x Ray n check his blood sugar..I asked them to check him for diabetes n they never did I guess because he doesn't have insurance.i will be contacting HIPPA and OSHA today...
I will never go to this place again. Incompetent Dr said I couldn't walk because of a urinary tract infection. I was having multiple sclerosis symptoms and was sent home with no way to get around. They do not file Insurance properly then expect you to pick up the tab or they send it to a blood sucking attorneys to threaten you.
My mother's care was horrible. While there she wasn't turned and dried unless I did it myself or made sure they did it. I found, not a nurse or other staff member heel wounds on her. When I asked what they would do about them I was told they would check the protocol. I requested a wound treatment nurse to access her. Inwasntold it would be reported to the oncoming nurse. If you can't have family there 24/7 don't use them. They do as little as possible. .
I knew I broke my hand, went in, took an hour to take 3 xrays, then an hour to read them, then got told it wasn't broke. Got a call the next morning saying they got my results back and that it was, in fact, broke. Well why was I told that it wasn't?? I would hate to know I was going to have surgery here...
The ER at Cullman is a joke!! Dr. Liu was so unprofessional, non-compassionate, and just straight out lied to my daughter. She was 14 weeks pregnant at the time and came in via ambulance for a severe headache for 3 days, sudden right sided numbness, and inability to form her thoughts into words. The ambulance driver/EMTs were great. But Dr. Liu and MOST of the staff was HORRIBLE. Not the entire staff was bad. There were 2 or 3 that were wonderful, not sure of all of their names but I do know that Kelly (she has worked in the ER for years) was amazing and tried her best to help us. She was so compassionate and caring and supportive. Thank you, Kelly!! But Dr. Liu was the most disrespectful doctor I have ever dealt with. He tried to say my daughter was in psychosis . He told her before she went back for her MRI that the MRI would probably hurt her baby and/or cause her to miscarry. (I wasn t there yet as she arrived before me since she came via ambulance.) She went into the MRI crying and an emotional wreck because she thought her baby was going to be harmed. We ended up leaving AMA and went to Children s Hospital in Birmingham and was then transferred to UAB Maternity ER. She was eventually diagnosed with a complex migraine. I have never been so furious with a doctor or hospital in my life. I am a nurse so I totally get that you have to somewhat detach yourself from patients emotionally and try not to let your personal feelings play a roll in their care. There s a fine line. But you have to have some level of compassion!!!! Isn t that why you went into the medical field to begin with??
I came to this hospital to the er and they gave me something that made me sick so I call them and tell them they tell me to come back I have been waiting for an hour and half people coming in after me and they are calling them and ignoring me I would never in my life recommend this er to any one I am in tears and they r just ignoring me.
Be sure to bring your lunch and supper for the day . Him and his staff has absolutely no consideration of anyone s time . Also to top that off he is an absolute hateful individual . So for the people getting stuck with him good luck .
I was having problems with an IV and I asked them to take it out (they were not using it and had not used it) The tape was burning my skin and the needle felt like it was in a tendon, even though the IV was in my arm close to my elbow I could feel it in my fingers. They wouldn't take the IV out but they did change the plastic bandage that was holding it on which didn't help at all. I asked them several times during the night to take it out and told them that if they needed to put another one in they could when it was needed but they wouldn't. After having that plastic burn my arm all night, by the time the sun come up I was sitting and rocking because the pain was so bad. i asked them again to take it out and they wouldn't so I took it out and when I did there was no blood so obviously they missed the vein or went through it. The nurse got angry because I took it out. She wanted to take my temperature from under my arm (I had some water to drink)and I didn't get a shower the night I was admitted so I would not let them and the nurse got angry about that, I am not going to let anyone do something like that when I had not had a shower. Even though I could not have anything to eat they still brought my breakfast tray and left in my room. I am a smoker and I had a desperate desire for a cigarette (had to take the nicotine patch off because the adhesive was burning my skin) and since I had made several of the nurses mad I had called my daughter and told her to come and get me. It has been 3 days since I was in there and my arm that had the IV still has a burn mark on it from the adhesive and my other arm is so black and blue from them blowing out my veins trying to get blood. I am not ever planning on using Cullman Regional Medical Center again.
Up until I got into a room was great in the e.r. However once I got admitted I realized that I didn't want to be there anymore. How can ppl be so rude to me. Also waited and waited and waited for my regular medications that I have at my house. Never got the medications, instead I had to sign myself out.
Seriously, if you can make it to a Birmingham hospital, go there. Dr. Evans is the only doctor I trust, he is a surgeon. He saved my husband's life. If you have problems with the staff, tell him. It will be taken care of.
I had a lot of swelling in both my legs I have had it for 8 months they were able to help me tremendously to get rid of a lot of it and to teach me how to keep it gone. I was very impressed with the Professional Service I received. I would recommend it highly to anybody. The therapist was very knowledgeable and very helpful.
Great staff, everyone seems very interested in helping you reach your goals. Very knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions about your situation. They also do their best to work you in based on your schedule.
I have complete trust in the care and therapy I received from my occupational therapist's at Cullman Regional Therapy. This was the second time I have had hand surgery and the entire staff is excellent at helping you to achieve your goals. I really appreciate Erin Burke as she was my main therapist this time. She took her time when working with me and I did not fee rushed in any way she gave me the encouragement and tools to achieve and exceed my goals. I genuinely feel that they care about your well being and recovery and will work with you any way they can for you to achieve the best you that you can be! Joan Lee
Came in for High Blood pressure around 5PM, waited a while. Finally went back around 8:15pm, IN THE HALLWAY ON A GURNEY! NOT EVEN ALLOWED A ROOM! I feel as though I am on display for everyone to see and NO privacy what so ever. This place is a complete joke. I should have followed my gut and stayed in Birmingham.
I came into the E.R. I've been having blood in my stool. Dr confirmed it was blood in my stool. They drew blood. Did a scan. Then had shift change. Haven't seen a nurse nor have I gotten my results. Four hours after labs and scan and shift change. No I.V. and nothing for pain and nausea.
Best hospital around. Keep up the good work. NEVER go to russellville, haleyville, or jasper hospitals. Had many experience with them all and they are pitiful excuses for a "hospital" this is the best one around.
Secondly, do not inform your patient after two weeks of waiting for additional information to be sent to the insurance company that you might need another appointment in order to respond to the insurance??!! I had already received a voicemail from someone in the office stating that the paperwork was received and will be worked on the day AFTER I emailed over the insurance request 2 weeks ago.
I really like Cullman Regional Medical Center Therapy they are very friendly, very caring, its always about the patient and how to get you better as soon as possible.
I went to the women s diagnostic center in Cullman regional and the person taking care of me hurt me so much I didn t let her finish. She got another person to do it and they were fine. Later I left and started crying. It was the worst experience I have ever had getting a mammogram. This is the kind of experience that keeps women from getting mammograms. This woman should be fired.
Horrible Emergency Room!!!! When is this county going to get another hospital???? I believe it's very unfair that they call people ahead of you, after you have sat for over an hour to see a doctor!!!!
My son has been to the ER twice in the past month only to be sent home both times still very sick. They do not care about the people that go to their ER and give them very poor service. I will never go back there again and do not recommend them to anyone. Their nurses and doctors are horrible. Other patients were complaining the whole time we were there.
Can't give this less than one. They blatantly ignored my request. I told three different people. They literally did the wrong side. Gave me medicine I didn't need for nausea. And now that i'm at home from my rib cage down is in excruciating pain, about to throw up with a fever. Thanks for your great care!
They just treated me for a migraine with something i've never had before that caused several known adverse reactions acted like no body has ever experienced that before and i didn't know they were known until after giving me 2 benadryl and discharge papers at the same time and i got to the car and goodled the medicine..got 0 relief with worse symptoms before i went in and was told if id like to wait in line and acrue another bill i can...LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS!!!
It seems all these guys are interested in is writing multiple prescriptions many of them not even needed just to make money. They even had us wait an additional hour (total 5 hours after our appointment time) because "the doctor needs to meet with some drug company reps". Then once seen the doctor comes in for 15sec and without looking at anything decides to write 4 prescriptions.
This will be my 3rd time in coming here for therapy. It has been a challenge but with the help of the therapist I will be finished with my therapy soon. In the time that I've been taking my therapy I would like to point out the following things I liked. A) Kindness from the ladies that make the schedule B) Ease that the therapist work with you. Example if a exercise is to hard for you then it will be changed. C) the knowledge of the therapist. D) Kindness but firmness of doing their jobs. I would definitely recommend that if you need therapy this is the place to come.
I broke my left ankle and even thou they was packed i was very well taken care of i have had my youngest daughter there in 02 by Gloria Short and i have high RESPECT FOR THE HOSPTAIL .
Kind of sad I can't rate it lower. I'm not using my actual name because I honestly fear I may get my care made worse if my name was here. ER staff won't actually manipulate anything that could be a ligament, they will offer you nothing but Tylenol, whether you have adverse reaction to it or not. You won't see a doctor, you'll see a nurse practitioner, they are more than qualified to diagnose things, but they will spitball ideas and then you're out, no care, and they'll deny an MRI because your insurance won't pay for it. I feel like withholding medical care is a crime, so that may need to be addressed. This hospital is rightly known as a death trap. They leave you with an arterial bleed for an hour in the waiting room, the staff has the "I'm better than you" attitude, you will have any questions deferred to someone who never shows up, and the first person you'll see when you get a room, after a ridiculous wait time, is the hospital representative for how you're going to pay. Good luck getting a diagnosis. Most of the nurses time is spent talking among themselves, or joking about how badly a patient smells, or their weight. That's right ladies, patients can hear you. Whenever the police are there with a detainee, every nurse in the ER magically vanishes, or stands there, medicines in hand, shooting the breeze. When asked why something was being applied to me, I was told "I don't know, someone told me to". My mother fell in the wet floor of the ER bathroom, the nurses never responded to the emergency call she pulled. I only knew she had fallen when I could hear her yelling for help. Not a single nurse helped her up. They stood, looking, while I got her to her feet. She was given Tylenol for a torn municis, which they didn't diagnose. They mixed her chart up after a car wreck and refused her, post surgery, morphine for two days, because her room mate was on methadone. The doctor was also not aware of her diabetes at this point, due to holding the wrong chart, so she never had her diabetic needs met. I have yet to meet a single, one single person who has been treated correctly. The five star reviews here are from a hired company, the reviewers don't even live here. I would rather ride in an ambulance to UAB and take my chances of dying on the trip, because the quality of care there would kill me before the ambulance ride did. Your staff is disgusting, your staff has no regard for the well being of the patients, and the number you leave to address these issues, good luck being answered. I've left messages and never had a response. There is no more denying on your part that there is a top down issue. You no longer run an ER, you run a bunch of spiteful, hateful, and downright dangerous group of trained people. I'm not even sure how the building is still marked as a hospital. It's nothing more than a cash grab for medical care, and a death trap. There's not a single local in Cullman who doesn't know this. Deny it all you want, but we all know what's going on there. Rather than replying to this review, try fixing your hospital.
Have always received excellent care at ER until on 6/17/18, third visit in a little over a week for gastro issues. Was seen by ER Dr. Borucki. The worst Dr ever. No labs were ordered to determine if infection was gone, dyhdration was evident. He jerked my eyeglasses off, never asked if he could remove them. He said we'll give you a shot for pain and nausea, said there is NOTHING we can do for you! To follow up with my Dr! My driver felt this Dr thought I might have been there for narcotics! Never dreamed that could have been the reason for being treated so rudely along with lack of ACTUAL MEDICAL TREATMENT, as I had previously been given a narcotic for pain, and never entered my mind on thinking that! I have never been a drug abuser and Dr. Borucki needs a refresher course in patient care along with understanding a patients medical history. I will refuse ever seeing that unethical Dr!
Very unhappy with your nursing staff in the E.R. very unprofessional. Mocking your patients while on the phone and your answering service not knowing how to locate patients. Know wonder you have a 3 star rating very unhappy In California. Truly very disappointed
Inspect your bill thoroughly. Last visit was charged for FIVE incentive spirometers at $127 a piece. I brought this to the attention to the billing department who said they would send it to auditing. Got a letter that said someone from respiratory therapy attempted to contact me but they did not.. Other charged on bill were questionable also. Previous visit revealed a bill that showed hospital owed me money after insurance paid. That bill was also sent to accounting and I never heard back from them. Question everything!
The only thing the are good for is treating a uti.. other than that go to UAB! The place is a joke. They don't care for the patients just there for a paycheck. I wouldn't trust them with my dog.
I love the time and effort used to ensure my families safety. Our visit was due to a car accident, and they were pretty suffient. Yet the discharge from the hospital may need some review. Other then that wonderful staff during a panic situation.
Dr. Yarbrough & his staff are amazing. He laid all my options out & let me decide which direction I wanted to go. The surgical team was awesome. The nurses were kind, friendly, attentive, and made me so comfortable. I can't complain about a thing, I will definitely will refer others.
By far the worse place to go. Waited for two hours and they placed patients in the hallways in the open with no privacy whatsoever. Waited for two more hours while nurses and staff walked by and ignored their patients. This place is a joke and needs to be shut down before more lives are lost due to incompetent doctors.
My brother had a seizure and was rushed to the ER via ambulance. It was his first visit to the ER after a terrible experience. He was scared nonetheless. ER doc comes into the room 2 hours later and says he did not have a seizure, it was an anxiety attack and sent him home. Epilepsy runs in my family. He had 2 people witness him have a seizure. He had blood coming out of his mouth from where was was biting his tongue while convulsing and the doctor says it was an anxiety attack. I don t see how these people are licensed. If you have an emergency, save yourself time and possibly your life by making a trip to Birmingham or Huntsville. My brother is fine now. I took it upon myself as a healthcare professional to refer him to a great neurologist who diagnosed him with epilepsy. I would not recommended this hospital to anyone.
You're better of dying trying to drive to Birmingham then dealing with this E.R. Thought I had a heat stroke or stroke, The only question asked is if I'm taking illegal drugs? Not if I've been slurring, trouble standing, you know the signs of stroke. They roll me in a room for a sec then to the hallway. They take me for cat scan and blood work. So maybe things are going ok?Nope. I sat in the hallway for 3 hours for them to move person after person ahead of me and into rooms. Test results come back. Nothing they found nothing but sinus problems? When my wife asked how does sinuse problems make someone slur the doctor gets a deer in the headlights look and says yeah i dunno on that.
Got into a room quickly which was great, but everything else is down hill. Was promised a vegetarian meal. I didn t get anything to eat until dinner time because they messed up my lunch. Stayed here from 7am to 6pm. Attitude from a RN with the name of Leslie was the cherry on top. Took over two hours for the charge RN to come down and talk to me. Took over an hour for discharge papers. Could not have my cell phone out the whole time while I was there. When getting my blood drawn by Leslie, she left the band around my arm. I discarded it onto my table. Made fun of me while I was here and had to have cometary from Leslie while I was on the phone with my mom. 10/10 do not come back unless you re truly dying.
They were very kind, and Debbie really is an angel. She helped me to calm down while having a panic attack, so thank you Debbie, and thank you to all the other nurses/doctors/etc.
If you re going to take a loved one to this hospital, then start making out their will. A dear friend of the family who was winning his battle with cancer died here and it wasn t the disease that took him. He died by suffocating for 24 minutes with family watching on helplessly and an EMT having to force the doctor to intervene. The arrogance of this doctor is so profound I believe he thinks he s god himself despite his practice clearly saying otherwise. To shut up the EMT, the doctor decided to have a CT scan run on the man s lungs. The man who had already been butchered at that hospital by a horrendous surgery never had lung problems. The cancer was in his throat. The surgery left him with a section of his colon attached to his esophagus and his stomach being yanked up behind his heart and yet the clever Dr. decided the dying man needed his lungs looked at. It was only until they tried sticking a breathing tube down his throat and were abruptly stopped by a mass of mucous that the problem was found but by then it was too late. Our friend was pronounced brain dead and unnecessarily died 10/21/17 by choking on his own phlegm in Cullman Regional Hospital. Don t ever take your loved ones here. Heck, don t even take your enemies here. I m sincerely hoping legal actions are taken.
The therapy services are excellent. They are friendly, no long waiting to be seen. Every one I have dealt with is caring. Highly recommend these folks!
When getting ready to leave for home after a few days in, the nurse didn't take my IV line out right away, she said she forgotten something and wouldn't be more than a minute... She never returned, 5minutes passed and my arm was swelling by the 10min mark, my arm was three times it's normal size, I got up and went to the nurses station, I forgot to mention, I had buzzed them continually and told them repeatedly what was happening to my arm, I kept getting the just a minute... So, after going to the nurses station and there's like 6 of them standing aground laughing I showed them my arm, and yet no one seemed to care, I got the, someone will be right there AGAIN, needless to say nearly 25minutes all together passed before it was finally taken out and the size of my arm was completely overlooked... Well, since that lovely occasion I've had problems in that arm, oddly enough im having to have this lump now cut out from under my arm, this started after that visit... Btw, I've got pictures, it wouldn't let me post them, but, by golly someone's gonna definitely be seeing them real soon now! The idea that I was going to go have it done in Cullman has completely passed me now, I guess they are just ill equipped and quite possibly the cause for this to be going on... I knew it couldn't have been okay to leave that line in like that... Smh
I went to the emergency room because I had a TIA-mini stroke & was admitted to hospital. I felt they took very good care of my needs. They were definitely on top of my condition. Everyone was very nice & well trained in this profession. All my tests were coordinated without delay. They were very thorough. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.
This hospital and doctor's offices may be able to handle caring for adults, but never bring your child here if you think something may be seriously wrong. Take your child to Birmingham. Their life may depend on it!
Care is sub par, they never sent a bill after my insurance company paid, sent straight to collections. Tried to resolve this issue, they said could not do anything, said that they sent me bills, they're always saying how much they care for their patients, but I haven't seen anything to validate that statement. This issue is 2 yrs old. Anyone can input data into computers, but have no way to verify that it was done. I hope that I never have to use them again and if I do require hospitalization that I will have the opportunity to go somewhere else.
Very Slow When I Arrived at the ER, there was no one else their. I needed to get a cat scan, due a blunt force trauma by a two man saw that had fallen and hit my head.I arrived a little before five. At first it took a little over an hour to get the Cat Scan done but then I waited and waited on the results in which I never received because they were working on other patients because they were poorly under staffed.
I have always been very satisfied with Cullman Regional Physical Therapy department. Brandy is very professional and make you feel confortable and at ease. She is very knowledgeable about her treatment.
Worst doctors ever. Couldn t tell me what was wrong. EKG, catscan and etc done there. They thought I was having a heart attack! Then sent me home. Turns out it was an ulcer. Learned this after I went to a real dr at st Vincent s.if you live in Cullman take your chances.
While I was in the hospital my nurses and doctors were very friendly and caring. I found out that a medication that I was taking for neuropathy kept making my sugar drop so after the 3rd time the doctor on call decided to put me in the hospital to find out why it was staying low and they kept giving me pain medication to help with the pain in my back and neck.
Was here last night with my Aunt. Nurses were very nice. Doctor and Nurse Practitioner not so much. She was transported to hospital by ambulance because she could not walk and in so much pain in her back radiating her leg. Did lab work and nothing else! No xray, MRI, or anything to check for some type of of injury sent her home because it was related to her chronic pain. Sent home unable to walk and in excruciating pain. Doctor was very rude. Not impressed.
I have been to the ER a couple times as well as taken or youngest child. Our experiences were pleasant considering being in the ER. Our youngest child was born at this hospital and we couldn't have asked for better treatment from the doctors and nurses.
The outpatient therapy department has been great following the wonderful care that I received during an outpatient surgery. There's nothing like being able to receive care like this right here at "home". Thanks everyone!
This is the absolute worst Hospital ever! If I could give it a -0 rating I would. I definitely do not recommend the ER. I drive 1 hr. away to another Hospital no matter the cause rather than go here! The Doctors are not only rude but their diagnosis are often wrong and their treatment is just horrendous! I have sit there and watched an ER Dr. & 3 nurses sit behind the nurses desk and mock, laugh and make fun of a mentally ill man in a room. I'm definitely surprised that they're still in business!
I've had bad experiences and stopped going to this hospital. Rude staff, long waits...now 20 years later the same is true. Radiologist was only one that was courteous and professional. I meet my daughter in law and my 8 month granddaughter going in with all signs of croup and all they do is give her a shot. Ok. Fine. It's been a minute since I dealt with a child with croup....was expecting admittance due to age and the fact that babies and breathing can turn on a dime. But ok....But it was the RN nurse saying it was "their (the parents) job to make sure she is breathing" . THAT comment was uncalled for to a first time young mother who has never dealt with this and is scared. They do their job everyday and was doing their job when she took her in to the ER! It was the 'medical staff' that didn't do their job .... nurse practitioner is all that we saw. I mean seriously? New hospital same old treatment of patients. Honestly need to up the professional development in manners and courtesy! If granddaughter gets bad we are going to Huntsville pediatric ER. But hey, thanks for the shot and the parental put down! RN Tina. Be glad I was focused on granddaughter and getting her things ready and didn't hear that comment.
I had a shoulder replacement and I went to CUL LMAN regional therapy.. I Have Lisa ann For my therapist She helped me Get the movement back into my arm. It took a lot Work but I it's coming along I have 4 more weeks of therapy Left and I hope when those 4 Weeks are finished I will have for use of my arm again.
