Good but expensive for pensioners to use facilities regularly. Kids love it.
Faculties ok.
Staff are very lazy and don t answer the phone.
Very difficult to get information from them!
I was just informed that their tap water is not safe to drink yet they serve frozen drinks and hot drinks from the same source. Profits over health.
Friendly staff, was given an in depth tour of the facilities, answered all questions I had and it took under 5 minutes for the paperwork to be done! And then the facilities that are there - anything you can think of and all brand new! Very excited to begin my journey with Furzefield Leisure Centre.
Visit regularly, just wish they'd keep the changing rooms a bit cleaner.
Lovely big gym great variety of equipment and helpful staff to get you working out effectively.
Went for birthday party, good place, soft play, nursery, gym, coffee area.
Pretty decent sports centre which never gets too busy. Best pool we have come across for a long time and cleaner than most public baths. Cafe area a little tired and could do with a face lift. Little kids indoor play area is cheap and my 3 year old loves it but again needs a little care and attention. Gym looks very good but haven't used yet. Very large sports hall for badminton, trampoline and indoor footy. They also do kids sports parties.
Great place for all the family. It literally has something for everyone. The new soft play is fantastic for kids of all ages. The pool is warm, and they have some fun activities at the weekend, such as an inflatable obstacle course. The cafe is also really nice, and nothing is obscenely over priced.
Good friendly staff just nightmare when swimming and you have all the club swimmers as they splash a lot and help to put you off. Strange the water is very salty.
The reception staff here are a pleasant enough but should you have a problem with your membership or want to get a reply to an email you may as well not bother.. I have sent half a dozen emails to member services only to receive a reply that my email has been passed on to Senior Management Department with NO REPLY FROM THEM.
i joined 18 months ago and my daughter joined a year ago and have used the facilities a little but attend a few classes a week. We will not be renewing our membership when due as the customer service in general is poor, they do not forewarn you of instructor changes neither do they consult you if they are going to discontinue classes. I will be looking for another centre despite this one being my nearest.
Nice sauna space but in desperate need for renovation
This is my first visit here but so far I've found it very good with helpful staff
Numerous activities for most age groups both inside and out.
Lovely leisure centre that has a lot to offer, although a tiny bit overpriced in my opinion
Awesome football training at Protec. Very large centre with spa
I took my granddaughter who is 3 to the new soft play area. Very good play. area, large with lots of different activities and various challenges for the kids. 2 large slides adds to the activities on offer. A snack bar at the end is ok and offers various toasties and sandwiches and snacks for kids and adults. The place is well worth a visit.
Clean and fab since it's been done up and great classes on offer
Very poorly Maintained. Dirty Showers despite complaining. Needs a deep clean.
My 2 year old can't stop talking about the hot swimming i.e the baby pool which is 3c warmer. Also at 60-90cm she can walk in most of it
I signed up for one of the gyms with my Wife 6 months ago. At the time we did not know she was not pregnant and we were going to go. I was not to interested in going but i joined up to go with her. At the time we were not told it was a annual contract and believed it was monthly. Now she is pregnant they have let her cancel her membership, yet i am not allowed even though i will not use it and have not used it. I have cost the company nothing as i have not used the facilities and yet they refuse to cancel my membership even though i will not use it as my Wife cannot use it. I believe this is unfair and miss sold as well. If i knew it was a annual membership i would never have signed up.
Great public swimming pool with gym sauna and other sports facilities too!
Only 1 lane for swimming filled with very slow people
The management needs to sort out the entry system to the centre! Taking 2/3mins a day to just get in the gym is a joke! And whoever cleans the gym needs to do a much better job!
Great facilities and well run. Changing rooms have been updated recently.
A nice place to walk around with a variety of places to shop and eat. Wonderful view of the Castle and next to Morrison's.
Awful place to go. Food is horrible, facilities are horrible, showers hardly any available and hardly any water comes out and have to keep pressing a button every 10 seconds. On the visit used the shower and it was so hot it burnt my back, a tile fell off and hit me in the head. Reported it to the manager and was told to just use a different shower! Absolutely unacceptable, do not waste your money. I feel sorry for those paying monthly for rubbish services. Avoid this place unless you are desperate.
Really good facilities. Three swimming pools, soft play and gym. A little rough around the edges and slightly sporadic times for the learning pool.
The best leisure centre they have babmention squash tennis swimming
Very unhelpful, unfriendly staff. Various occasions been received poor customer service!
Yes newly refurbishing, but service never changed. It s a shame it has a loads of potential, unfriendly staff puts many people like me away. (Reception Staffs)
Parking was tricky, very full although it was a rainy day. Also, the soft play itself is great for kids but the seating area for parents is not as there's not enough seating.
Significantly improved over the last couple of years, cleaner, more consistent and with a better cafe. It's a really nice place now and we often go there with the kids for fun swims.
Large open park with good facilities including astroturf pitches. Very green.
A very reasonably local priced Gym with all the facilities you would expect a private branded gym. Joanne, Matt and Sarah in the management team do an amazing job. Swimming lessons are superb.
Dreadful. I wanted to like this place as it's very local and I miss swimming but there was a toilet full of turds (and a singed checklist in the cubicle saying it had been checked!), it is really tatty, signage is really poor, locker keys nearly don't come out the lockers, stupid shoe protectors because there is no sensible barrier between the wet and dry area and the worst and most concerning thing was that they have a moveable barrier in the pool which they were moving AS I WAS SWIMMING OVER IT so it caught me on the knees. I had never seen such a thing and when I told a lifeguard it had caught me his only (rude) response was 'didn't you see it?'. Obviously- who wouldn't swim along looking at the bottom of the pool in case it moves?! I think this is a serious health and safety concern- had I been underwater swimming flat out I could have gone head first into it. The manager I spoke to was polite but quite dismissive of me pointing out that their H&S procedures are obviously lacking. Once all the school kids were in for their swimming lesson there was barely room to swim. The published timetable suggests that there is a proportion of the pool still to swim in- but I wan't chuffed that for half of my session I couldn't do a full length and there is a set of stairs that take up a big chunk of the shallow end. I shall not be returning.
It's a good gym and pool. The reason it gets a 1 star review is there isn't any abs machine or leg lock bench. The old equipment which was brand new at the time had slong with it an abs cradle and was by far the best one that I have used. They have replaced all the equipment since and haven't bothered to replace the cradle very disappointing. Seeing as how most ppl when they work out are concerned about the stomach area of their bodies it seems stupid not to cater for ppls wants and needs.
I also don't like the fact that this company doesn't seem to care about its customers an all too familiar trait in their industry. It's like they know people will always come to them for their facilities therefore they cater to themselves and not their customers.
Would like to say that the instructor do a good job.but the staff at the centre are not very welcome in and the fact that my children are not allowed to wait in the pool before the lesson start is disappointing
I would of thought it would be beneficial to encourage your student to swim as much as possible.
We go here because it's always staffed, I live in WGC but the Hatfield swimming pool for the kids is never open.
In process of being refurbished, with new immersive spin studio and gym. Friendly staff and inclusive with customers of all ages.
great gym and swimming pool open to the public. the gym has been recently done up with new equipment. the staff are friendly and good at there job. if your a local of potters bar then this is the place to go for a swim or a work out.
very big leisure centre with loads of kids and adults. will be coming back for sure
I ve been using the gym for 10 years and the new gym is really nice overall...the reason I m leaving a 2 star review is because there is absolutely no equipment for abs whatsoever, no crunch apparatus, not even an angled bench you can lock your legs into. It s just so completely stupid and ridiculous.
