Local software company wanted to play major role in middle East and Ethiopia.
Update: In the last couple of years, they have grown expontially with around more than four hundread skilled programmer of various level, now from fourty two exactly around 2003. Managment is taking good care of only right future prospect. Only caveat is, with size comes the weight also. So since they are growing rapidly, hence to switch over to a new path breaking technology that can help a company to manage scale in big enterprise solution, will take time to turn and switch to a new direction.. And time is what, the most precious thing in this field. Thats what happening here. In many advanced technical field, they are either behind or playing catchup.
To justify, as per latest info from various sources working there, they are still not comfortable in devloping native mobile apps in neither iOS nor Android. They are still going in the hybrid way which is like speaking French written in Hindi. One can give many such example starting from WebAPI 2 to Azure and DevOps.
One quick suggestion: If possible, then try to turn into leaner, meaner and fitter. No idea, but if it is possible, pls. make small team of new, energetic young chaps who are eger to learn new technologies with one or two experience guys with lot of core experience and enjyoing in taking deep dive into new tech without fear of loosing the battle. Online subscription based world class learning programme from top companies like Pluralsight. At the end, they may lose a battle but can win many wars for the company. I can go on and on and on. But at the end of the day, they are doing great as per giving employment to local prospect. Nurturing them into good assets.
With lot of future positivity, I'm upgrading my rating from Avarage to Good.
