My experience with CSC / Aviation Safeguards @ JFKIA has been average. The work hours are reasonable and the pay is satisfactory. I find the work environment to be just okay, nothing exceptional. The company could improve on providing more training opportunities and career advancement options. However, it is still a decent place to work at.
I would have given them no stars if I could. About a month ago, while waiting in line at LAX International terminal in front of Norwegian Airlines, an Aviation Safeguards employee let some people (I believe she knew the people as they chatted for 10 minutes before cutting in line) skip in front of a bunch others in line. It was a slow moving line, at least 40-50 people waiting. When I inquired why she did that, her response was "Yeah, yeah you will all get on the plane, what's the big deal" and she laughed. This was after I was verbally abused by one of the passengers she let in. The woman said she did not like the way I look at her (?) and cussed and cursed at me and my husband. The Aviation Safeguards employee just stood there and watched the whole thing and laughed. I asked for her name and badge number but she refused which is against the rules. I wrote to Aviation Safeguards but no response. Utterly irresponsible, rude company and inept, nonfunctional employees.
Rude, Unhelpful group of workers. I interrupted 3 women gossiping at such a busy time today (Thursday May 31 at 8:20 am). I needed assistance with 6 large bags and asked if there was someone who can help me load them in since I was alone. They have me dirty looks for when I asked them because they were in the middle of talking. They also gave me the wrong information and told me there was no one to help and that Alaska Airlines doesn't have Bag help anymore. Well that's incorrect because when I asked a MAN from Alaska Airlines, he immediately directed me to the person who could help me. They are just a bunch of DISGRUNTLED, Jealous and probably ILLEGAL workers.
