Parents pay attention
1- your child is going to be verbally and mentally beaten and possibly physically
2- If/when your child comes back they won t even be able to look you in your eyes due to the stress and depression and anxiety they have been through
3- staff fails to keep up the the kids medication
4- don t even get me started on the food just know if your kid likes to eat cardboard they will love the food
5- this was not based off someone telling me what this place is like this is a first hand experience that i lived my self ...I did not let other kids vist here infulance my review in any way and I did not use other kids experiences in this review everything I mentioned happened to me and I don t even want to bring up what I saw happen to other kids
Great program i went in 2005-2006 for juvenile probation violations and I benefited from the weekend programs and definitely remember every second of my experience here. I was discharged from probation in early 2007. Is the stride program still available?
Good for teaching your kid to be less of a man but this place will teach your son to not be what a man should be, submissive and quiet isnt a man its a p***y, they treat u like your worthless, i hope i can help even one kid if theyre parent reads this but i attended this boot camp in 09' and have never been the same ever since they convince you everything youve done in your life is wrong and that you should allways be quiet and follow them even if theyre outlook is wrong, i saw a 15 year old boy get slammed on the ground by a drill instructor bc he wasnt adjusting to the place correctly, they did teach me to respect authority and be a good person, i wont deny that but they take it too far they treat u like your worth nothing in this world, kids like this need help not to be treated like this, if your son smokes a little bit of pot or partys to much n hes not hurting anyone, please just talk to him dont make him go through what i did
Michigan is one of the most backward states as far as juvenile justice is concerned. If your kid is sent here whatever they may learn will be far offset by the stigma and discrimination they will receive by having a juvenile record when trying to find a career. Do not let your social worker convince you this is a good place, do not accept a court appointed attorney, hire your own and fight charges at all costs. An adjudication in Michigan will ruin your kids life, do not let them sentence your kid to a lifetime of minimum wage jobs and welfare.

Look at their generic, politician type response to my legitimate criticism of their program. This is a place that cannot stand up to scrutiny. This is an industry that is reliant on labeling your child a juvenile delinquent and keeping them down, so they will willingly work low wage menial jobs. I implore you to not let these people have control over your child's life.
