I want to give this casino a 5 star rating. People are friendly, very clean and food was great. But my Mom is 91 years old and we stayed in the new South Tower. There is no where to drop her off so that we did not have to haul suitcases through the whole casino.
It was exhausting for her.
A drop off at the other side would be a nice allowance.
When I mentioned it I just got a sorry.
Just a thought for future seniors!

Haven't been at cache creek for more than a year. I was happy to learn that my bonus points could be used as free play. But was disappointed to learn my favorite machines were gone. Where are they???wild cougars/great eagle returns/dragon lord. I found most machines were asian style. That's fine, but i am sure lots of people are missing the oldies. I had fun,but my mother did not.

It was fun. Me and my wife had a great time. Nice service, friendly staff, not over crowded. All around a nice casino. Great get away if you don't want to travel far. Only thing is be careful if you drive at night, No street lights so it's hard to see the road. Just drive safe and enjoy.

The casino is nice, but not a lot of variety with the slots. There was two Bars open during the day, the main Bar (which only had on bartender and a line of people.) If you happened to notice the Cafe it had a small bar connected to it and the bartender was wonderful.
There was a good variety of food places to eat, especially if you like Asian food.
There is a Noodle, Asian food and Sushi restaurant. Along with a deli, steak house, pub and others. Much more then Thunder Valley.
They also only had Waiters and Waitresses serving water during the afternoon. Not sure if other Casinos do this but it sucked. (you can get drinks from the bar.)
Rooms where very nice. Clean, plush and with the usual shampoo, soap and lotion available but they also had robs in the closet.
Over all I loved the rooms but, I usually just go to drink and gamble. So I will not be returning anytime soon to Cashe Creek.

Been visiting Cache Creek for some time now and have generally enjoyed visiting. I finally had the opportunity to stay a night at Cache Creek and this review will be for this stay.

Stayed in their new South Tower in one of their King bed rooms. The view outside the window was not the best, but overall the room was amazing. The bed was super comfortable and there is plenty of leg room to stretch.

Motion activated lights on the floor so that you don't need to turn on other lights at night to make your way to the bathroom. A modern coffee/tea machine that uses small pods. Just add water and you can brew up a cup of coffee or tea. A quick chill refrigerator that helps to cool down your beverages and other items.

Large mounted TV easily viewable from the bed or lounging chair, two in room phones, a small desk with task chair, and so on.

If given the opportunity to stay at Cache Creek again, I would certainly take advantage of it.

Some prefatory remarks.

Some prefatory remarks.

I am an easy and generous reviewer most places earn 3 stars from me; and those that put in good effort may get 4 or even 5 stars.

Now that there is some opening up in a, hopefully, late-pandemic phase, for Mother s Day weekend, we planned a family trip to Cache Creek, with 3 moms in our family.

For all of us, this was the first post-pandemic casino trip.

And we go to many casinos, from New England to New Orleans to Mississippi to California.

So, there was anticipation of a return to at least a modicum of good times.

On the gaming front, with slot machines, this was a very disappointing experience.

We were alerted that alternate machines will be disabled, because of social distancing. The way it was done was in very, very poor taste. It was tough to tell whether a machine was disabled, unoccupied or out of order. Here was a great opportunity to be creative -- the casino could have created pleasant or humorous signage or envelopes to prevent access to the closed machines. No such thing. One had to approach and squint hard, for small on-screen display or other (tiny) placard -- if at all available -- to figure out the status of an unoccupied machine. Cache Creek totally lacked any imagination and blew the opportunity to communicate gently or humorously or both.

Also, the payouts were insulting. Sure, the House has to win. But, pre-pandemic, when a win occurred on a spin the amount was at least equal to the minimum bet; and often several times that bet. In this visit, for instance, on a machine with 88-cent minimum, the wins -- if they happened at all -- would be 7 cents or 23 cents or other such ridiculous amounts. All the 5 family members in my family group, especially the moms who had gone to celebrate, felt very disappointed and insulted.

No more Cache Creek visits unless there is reform and redress of this state of affairs.
