We were in a very lengthy process that involves many components when working between the city of St Pete, a neighborhood association and creative sign designs. CSDs response and pricing beat out the competition, but more importantly than that they were thrown through many hoops when some policy changes were made and they worked with consistent proactiveness. Watching the install was incredibly exciting around our neighborhood and when I asked to make some last minute adjustments on site, Joe and his crew provided professionalism and immediate action. I know of some others that are in a quandary at the moment because their companies dropped off when the process got complicated. I'm so thankful that was not our experience!
A large custom shop that reaches Nationwide! It is also a wonderful place to work! Highly recommend!
Good people there that give you great service and produce high quality products!
I used CSD for a channel letter sign at my newly opened restaurant in Palm Harbor. Stephen, the sales person was good, prompt, replied to emails, worked through a difficult design process (we had to change the design one time) due to my landlord's requirements. The first parts of the project started the second week of November 2018. Paid my deposit on 12-5-2018, and the revised design was finished on 12-11-18. Pretty fast so far. I was introduced to my "project manager" on 12-19-18. The rest of the project was NOT smooth. I was assigned a project manager who's communication skills were lacking terribly. Missed dates, constant confusion. The whole project was quoted to me to take 6-8 weeks. My sign was finally installed on March 15th 2019. The management of the project was a disaster, and most of my communications had to be through the initial salesperson, who in turn had to run through different facets of the company to get me replies, changed dates, etc.. Opening a restaurant is no small feat, but this signage experience was hands down the most brutal process I have ever dealt with. I have had easier times with county, fire, plumbing, HVAC than I had with Creative Sign Designs. The end of the project even had me forwarding their office manager the correct proposal and invoice, as they were trying to bill me for the original proposal which was never even executed. I had to write multiple emails and again, include the sales staff on the threads to get them to bill me correctly. The right hand isn't talking to the left hand here, and it is painfully obvious and shocking that they can run a business like this.
The end result is a sign that looks as planned, with a poor install. Paint doesn't match the building, stucco was repaired with globs of caulk. Looks terrible. Both myself and my Landlord reached out with pictures of the end result, and the reply was a basic aloof and disinterested excuse. Basically when the owner of my building sees it, I'll have to pay to have it corrected. Hopefully this isn't how most jobs go with CSD, and mine was just a $6,500 dollar anomaly.
