What a great college with an excellent occupational therapy program! I love the professors and the richness that they bring, and their dedication and passion for teaching! I am a non-traditional student that has been out of school for at least 10 years and have been provided equal treatment and the same opportunities as my peers. Highly recommend the MSOT program here!

Cox College's BSN program is incredible. I was worried about the school at first, but each instructor, staff member, and advisor is wonderful. I can walk the halls and office personnel greet me by name. The professors will go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need to succeed. The construction is a nightmare, but the changes to the school so far have been amazing and I'm excited to see how it will be once it's completely done!

I went to Cox college when I was pregnant and they helped a lot with the classes I could and couldn t take. I then dropped because I didn t like the teachers/school/couldn t be myself as in show tattoos...which working at the hospital I could.
Long story short I have about 3 semesters left so I decided to go back to finish it. Little to my knowledge I didn t drop my classes in time (2 days late) and they charged me for the classes which was around $2200.00. I NEVER took the classes and they put a hold on my account. So to see what classes I had left to take I had to pay it. So I paid that so I could start taking classes again because I just wanted to finish it. Then today I get a call and they are telling me I have to retake the 1.5 years of classes I already took. So another 5 semesters which I m still paying those student loans off. This school is a JOKE!!!! If I knew that I d have to start from the beginning for my BSN I wouldn t have paid them the $2,200.00 in general for the classes I NEVER TOOK! THEY ARE MONEY SCAMMERS! I Highly recommend NOT going to Cox College. On top of that their school is old and dirty.

Going to cox college has been such an amazing experience! The professors do everything possible to help you succeed. The clinical experience is unbeatable; you are guaranteed a clinical in the hospital, and you are able to pick where you do capstone. The amount of clinical time you get in the hospital in addition to the simulations you do in the sim lab more than prepares you to be a nurse!

I absolutely love this school and all of the instructors who work there! They have taught me so much in the short amount of time there and I am so excited for the day to say that I am a Cox alumni! If you want instructors who care about not only about your education but you personally, I highly recommend going here!

Helped me with transfer equivalencies and has always treated my inquiries of joining their college seriously. Much better than SBU. SBU is a joke and I still have not received anything from them. I am an extremely hard worker, I work between 60-80 hours a week (between school and work) and love to learn, so I take it personally when a college treats your awfully when you re making a general inquiry. Cox will assist you through the process of becoming a nursing professional and I can t wait to apply after this semester!

Cox has a welcoming environment and the instructors are willing to help students and encourage them to succeed. Current bridge student and I feel more relaxed than I have with school in the past.

OK, sit down. You're going to need to for what I'm...

OK, sit down. You're going to need to for what I'm about to tell you. The sparknotes is stay away, stay far away from the Cox College School of Nursing. The program director, Kris Williams, should be ashamed of the lack of professionalism and quality that this school displays.

I was an out of state student at the ND-DI program at the Cox College School of Nursing. First of all, let me tell you that the school harps on ND-DI students like they are third-rate citizens, while praising their MS students at the same time. This is the definition of you pay what you get. If you pay for a MS, then you'll get respected, treated well and score automatic As. If you're just an out of towner in the ND-DI, be prepared to get pushed to the ground and walked over (mentally, not physical though I wouldn't be surprised).

I was given strong promises from Kris Williams prior to me joining the program and about what I'd learn during my session there. I was then told half way during my time that they could "not fulfill our promises" because of a lack of funding. They even recruited all the students to act as collection agency reps to push other students to pay their tuition.

The school openly hates (strong word) the American Heart Association and believes every policy, guideline and decision is wrong and should not be followed. Basically the college teaches you that "hammies and doggies" (hamburgers and hot dogs) are actually good for you and belong in the bottom section of the food pyramid. And news flash Kris Williams, they got rid of the food pyramid 10+ years ago. Wake up!

And then the last day of my program just when I was excited to be graduating, instead of a congratulations, I got letter that looked like the FBI wrote it saying that I was required to pass the RD exam on the first try and to not even bother to try if I wasn't going to pass. Why the Federal Government-style statement? Because their pass rates are so low that this school is basically about to close.

So bottom-line, if you want to come to the Cox College of Nursing - don't. It is a waste of money, the program director doesn't respond to emails or calls (too good?). Oh, and the library is non-existent. Their library is about as good as a Borders and Barnes and Nobles....because the library doesn't exist and neither does Borders or Barnes and Nobles. The only good thing at the school was the coffee at the "The Gerny Coffee Shop", which their sunset chai AHA latte was quite good.
