Started off okay, but not been able to access my dashboard and driving scores in months and it is so slow for it to be sorted takes nearly a week for a replies if not longer let alone be fixed - however if they wan't something from you it has to be done within 3 days! useless value for money

I have been on hold for over an hour and after two weeks of emailing, no response as of yet. They have been useless at the start of this policy and tried to charge me for a missed appointment when there was no missed appointment. Tried to tell me I had been speeding at over 100mph on the m40, while I was at work, and after a tedious process of submitting evidence they relented. Will not renew. I suggest everyone else runs a mile, any other insurance company would be better than this. IT IS A JOKE!!!

I think Coverbox insure are just out to rip custom...

I think Coverbox insure are just out to rip customers up at any slightest opportunity.
I took out an insurance policy precisely around 3pm on a Saturday 16/2/19 thinking I was going to change my car on that day.
Unfortunately I ended up not buying the car due to some reasons.
I then decided to cancel this insurance around 11am the next day on sunday 17/2/18 but realised they were closed to reopen on Monday at 8.30am


Customers shouldn't be punished for changing their mind whatever the T&C of the company.
I am really very angry about this.

disgusting wait on their help line, 46 minutes and counting. At least it gives me time to complain on here. I wish they would change there very annoying message which states "you call is important to us and it will be answered shortly". Well how important is our call if i'm waiting over 45 minutes and your definition of shortly varies greatly from mine. I wish they would atleast tell me what number I am in the que.

It is the second year. I use cover box and couldn't be more satisfied with the service. Recently (July 12th), had a confusion about the change of the job title. Gentlemen (unfortunately, don't remember his name) who assisted over the phone went an extra mile to help me. Great service.

Went to get insurance for my BMW 7 series, installation engineer come out two weeks after I started the car insurance and messed my car up. Ended up with having no speedometer and no reverse gear and my automatic pulling off in 3rd gear. Absolutely disgusted, no offered no courtesy car just told their engineer will make an appointment to try and solve the problem, when I booked the engineer to fit their box it took 2 weeks for them to come, meanwhile I am left without a barely working car in -4 degree weather. I would definitely NOT recommend this company to anyone or use this company again.

I had to cancel my insurance due to a NON fault accident . Due to the extremely HIGH cancelation charges there is very little refund due. Be careful of all the extremely high charges when making the smallest of amendments. Accessing them via the phone is impossible and customer services take weeks to response. I would avoid this company at all cost. Maybe their MD Andrew Bennett should review their ratings

Been with CoverBox for 2 years now and they have been amazing with any changes or issues! Also could not get better customer service from all the staff I have spoken to on the phone! Highly recommend this insurance company!!

Bad start to a relatively new policy I'm afraid. I...

Bad start to a relatively new policy I'm afraid. I started cover on 28th April and subsequently got a call as promised a few days later to fit the device. This was arranged for 11th May (their earliest available date) and the engineer arrived promptly and was efficient. He photographed my proof of NCD and my driving license, I signed electronically and he was on his way. The following day I tried to access my "dashboard" but each time I tried to login I was diverted back to the homepage. I wasn't too concerned at the time as it was only 24 hours since the installation. The following day, the 13th, I received an email warning me that my cover would be cancelled if I did not have a device installed within 7 days. I emailed their enquiries email address to explain that my device had been fitted 2 days prior and that I was unable to access my dashboard and requested assistance. I received an auto response but have not received a reply to this. I then followed this up with a phone call to customer services on 17th to advise that I was struggling to access my dashboard, the representative told me that they would reset my dashboard and I would receive an email to advise me of this. I asked for an appromixate timescale and she said "I'm afraid I can't give you an exact timescale". I hadn't asked her for an exact timescale. I still have had no email or reply. It is now the 20th of May and I still am unable to access my dashboard, I have no idea if the device is active and was woken at 5am by an email from Coverbox to give me 7 days notice for the cancellation of my policy. Very disappointing customer service... And of course hugely concerning that come next weekend I may have no insurance.

I find it awfully convenient that they were unavailable to fit the device until I was 13 days into my 14 day cooling off period. I suspect that I won't be getting any funds returned to me when the cancel my policy next week!

No issues at first before they were under administ...

No issues at first before they were under administration only recently had issues were they have decided to add a 230 pound on to a bill I had 2 years ago cause I changed vehicle 2 months before end of policy.
Wouldn't mind if they collected it as soon as they could but they have waited to collected after a national lockdown were families including my own are struggling already.
wouldn't recommend this company to anyone!

Cheap, the cheapest, for a short time solution is ok, but if you ever tell them that you have change your address you will have to pay 50 pounds fee for changing personal details, any personal data you change will cost you 50 pounds.

EDIT: Coverbox has now gone into administration!! I was not informed of this! No email, no phone call nothing! They stopped taking payments so as far as I m aware I ve been driving around with no insurance as I thought my insurance was fine! Now at risk of loosing my years no claim as the insurer went into administration on the 8th July and my insurance wAs up for renewal on the 4 of August!! Disgraceful!

Unbelievable. We bought a new car, they sent an 'engineer' who was not only very rude to my hubby but has blown the fuses which resulted in sound system not working. We had to pay 300 quid in the garage that gave us papers explaining how it happened- clearly stated its them. Now they don't want to give my money back sending me to claim company recommended by them. Are you kidding me- we've spend lots of time going back and forward from the garage and money. Do not use!!! The worst insurance you can choose!! Terrible experience, lots of stress

They keep calling to pick up things to change the policy and pay more, I put estimated mileage of 6000 per year and half through the policy they say u need to pay more money as your mileage estimation will be higher than 6000 per year.
Bad customer service not honest
Fraudulent insurance company trying to rip u off.

Do not buy from them any policy

I was on hold for over 45mins but Jamie Aucott was very helpful and promised me a call back in 48hours. Let's see if he keeps the promise!

Jamie kept his promise and called today. Unfortunately, he had no useful info but at least he updated me to let me know he is still working on it!

0 if I could. They cancelled my insurance because I did my insurance quickly online and I didn't realise you had to put down an accident if it was not your fault and you didn't even claim. I was told because I had a one year no claim my insurance will go down but instead they cancelled it. Waist of time! I am not to clued up on insurance and things but every other one I've been with have tried helping and supporting me. These just chucked me away no help at all!! The lady on the phone was not even apologetic and didn't even care. Would not recommend

Phoned to periodically cancel my insurance while my car undergoes repairs, the customer service agent (Antonio) was a really friendly, helpful and decent guy. He sorted everything out on the phone for me, put me on hold a few times to make sure everything was sound before telling me that I would get a refund as I was a new customer within the 14 day limit. I am very thankful, I would recommend to other younger drivers.

Recently joined Coverbox and I must say I m not too happy so far.
Firstly tried to book my installation for my box and was told they were unable to give me any weekend dates- ever, these weren t available for me at all. They also weren t able to come to my work as they required a parking permit and I was informed they can t install on a property that needed a permit. So I had to arrange leaving my car at home, while someone was in during the week so they could install it.
Then the day before my installation they sent me an email giving me formal notice of terminating my contract in 7 days as it hadn t been installed (even though they have been texting me reminders for the installation today) so I called up and they confirmed my installation was booked in for today, however they wouldn t send email confirmation they weren t terminating my contract as it wasn t installed yet! Unprofessional and really quite unhelpful- doesn t give you much faith in what the service will be like further down the line, when they can t even deliver within the first 28 days

Very similar to the previous review, their prices are great but your pretty much wasting a lot of time and money on the phone waiting for poor John Hancock or Jane Dough to pick up the phone. 30 minutes and counting so far (Literally waiting for them to answer the phone as I write this).
