That place helped me a lot when I was a teen. They where so kind to me. Still have friends from that time over 30 years

I love the fact that they have everything you might need to take a different route in life they have GED and maybe more programs in side of this shelter. of course is not gonna be perfect but it is great if you dont have no where to go and need to start off somewhere and also know this is a temporary shelter untill they transfer you into a more permanent place and the places thst they transfer have there pros and cons just like convenant house but they will get you on your feet and help with everything have alot of patience, show interest, be on time, and be responsible. Youth from the 3rd floor. There are people from different walks of life and it's easy to make friends but I noticed most people here will use you. Live by your witts, pay attention & focus on your business and you should be great.

This place has unjust and unfair rules, mostly everyone seems to have an attitude and they don't actually help you, everything they do you can mainly do on your own they don't even help enforce it on you to make sure your good, on top of that none of them actually pay attention to the in takes, only use that place as legit a place to sleep only

I am there now and I love it they have change for the best

Did my 30 days at the mother and child building in Hell's Kitchen before they found longer term housing for me. Made a lot of friends. Lots of young teens from different walks of life cast aside by family for their mistakes. Still friends with some of those strong ladies today, and we're all doing great. There are a lot of rules and a curfew, but you are guaranteed 3 meals, a bed, free laundry and even counseling. There's also medical staff, different school and housing programs and they give carfare for people with jobs or school. They even helped me get my very first state ID and helped me into the welfare system so i could eat. Im forever grateful. If you have nowhere to turn but here, take full advantage of what they offer, then LEAVE. And stay strong.
