This hospital is a total lost first of all the people registering or giving in very ruded. My son was taken there on an emergency and made us wait to send us back. Every moment counts Even if your child is in his last min. of life. Security is a joke with disrespectful results. Should be more understanding on delicate situations that need attention , especially on security guards that sit on there butts name Ivan. I don't know how else to let you people know what kind of hospital they run there . Disorganized would be best and rude, really to tell you the true they rate a zero in rates. This will not be the last I will put other media's so everbody Will be a ware of the up coming of there might mare.

Would not recommend this facility for your medical needs. Especially when it comes to your sick child. While my daughter is violently ill the hospital would not allow any medical procedures to be done unless i paid them my entire insurance deductible upfront in cash. Attempted to use a medical credit account that is accepted by many facilities. Was told no. Was told they do not make payment plans either. I have to find another facility to see my child who has been sick for over six months. As a single parent on a budget I can t shell out $1400 in an hour, and since I can not make money magically appear I was told to find care somewhere else.
Wow!! I think I will take my services else where as should you. Money is apparently more important than a child s well being.

The charge nurse has very unprofessional behavior. He kept repeating that the wait is 24 to 48 hours. Not just one twice, but around 5 times. Horrible bedside manner. Nurses like Chad should not be working in the ER or even with patients as no one deserved thus type of treatment. The he goes on to say to my mom, that she has had more than 15 visits to the ED. It is not his place to say this and treat people like garbage. I hope Covenant reassess his employment or he will end up causing case law or a tort. The board of nurse examiners needs to stop him in his tracks.

This used to be a great hospital, years ago. The last experience I had there I was thrown out barefoot, not allowed to call my husband to pick me up. This was in 2015. They are inhumane. I was sick and it was cold out. I was having a medical emergency and had to walk at 3 AM. I made it to United, where the manager at United treated me with more dignity and care than the hospital did; gave me a blanket and a hot tea, he could see I was not well. By all standards, UMC is 100 times better than Covenant. They still have some level of professionalism. Covenant has turned into a prison.

This has got to be the worst hospital in America. Whatever you do don't go to this facility. They are rude, uncaring, unprofessional and unaccommodating. My daughter had a wreck and sat in their waiting room for 6 hours. She was treated terribly. I called and they hung up on me. I've seen better customer service at 7-Eleven. What a joke.

This place is horrid. My husband has epilepsy and was treated like he's playing games. He had chest pains last night and the ER Dr yelled at him and had the police called. For what? Being sick? And the nurses told him to never come back. I am disgusted with the way this system works here. It is completely inhumane. What kind of patients do they expect here?

Came in here with a friend today that was told by a 24 hour clinic that she was likely suffering from toxic shock syndrome. We waited for 5 hours, and ended up having to leave because she was in too much pain and there was a very slim chance we would have been helped within the next few hours. We saw about 1 patient go in for treatment about every 2 hours. I told them it was ridiculous that my friend had not been helped because toxic shock syndrome can be deadly, and should be considered very severe where she should be treated soon. The staff told me that it was not his fault and offered no reassurance that she would be helped soon. When she told them she had to leave, they didn t even question why or tell her that she should stay, they just watched her walk out. They have a terrible system, and if you re in a dire emergency I would not recommend coming here.

Went to ER in atrial flutter. Receptionist asked me how he could help. Told him I was in the middle of a heart attack. They could NOT have been nicer & on the ball. As they were turning to go to room 21, a person came running up, diverting me to Trauma 3. The Cardiologist was in the room when I was wheeled in. Great work

Husband had what we thought was a gallbladder issu...

Husband had what we thought was a gallbladder issue. He was in agony at home for days before finally going in. They did an EKG to make sure he wasn't having a heart attack and sent us to the waiting area. After a few minutes there I told the staff that sitting upright made his pain so much worse and asked if they had somewhere he could lie down. They gave us a place. His pain was a 10/10 and he was writhing around.

After an hour I ask for status and get told it can take up to 8-12 hours to be seen. I check back at the 2 hour mark, but that he'd be seen as soon as possible. At the 4 hour mark his pain became more tolerable. Not that the staff would know, not a single person had checked on him in that 4 hours. By the 6 hour mark we considered leaving and going to another ER but were scared we'd have to wait just as long there, and we'd already burned 6 hours so we had to be close? We just needed an ultrasound or CT to confirm gallstones and to discuss the next step in getting him better.

Just after the 9 hour mark he was taken back. The doctor came in to see him almost right away. For a second it felt like the wait was worth it. Nope. Dr spent less than 3 minutes in the room, said "sounds like your gall bladder, go see your PCP on Monday", it was Friday. I asked for some kind of imaging study to see if it was for sure a gall bladder issue, end explained the severity and duration of the pain over a few days. Dr didn't give a s**t. After 3 minutes he leaves and the nurse starts doing the routine questions in the computer. We told her we knew it was prob what the dr said but we waited for 9 hours and just wanted to know for sure what was going on. She said he wouldn't order any tests. By the time she had checked all the boxes in the computer we had been in the back area for 15 mins. 3 minutes with dr, 12 mins asking basic questions, and an order to see the PCP on Monday. AFTER 9 HOURS OF WAITING THEY DID NOTHING, THE FREAKING NURSE QUESTIONNAIRE TOOK 4 TIMES THE LENGTH OF TIME THE DOCTOR SPENT IN THE ROOM.

Needless to say next time one of us has an issue we'll be going to UMC.

Dr.Williamson in the ER would rather my mom go home in pain without anything for pain when give her something until she can go to her regular doctor. She went to the ER he said just go home and take an aspirin. She can't because she is on stomach meds. But he was like oh well until she can go see her primary doc. I asked who the doc was that she saw the last time we were here and he wouldn't tell me. He said just put her in a home...no Cov. Needs better doctors. Before corporate bought them they cared...now they hired crappy doctors.. Beware of Mr. Williamson....not worthy of the Dr. Title

The Emergency Room experience was horrible. I accompied my friend to the Emergency Room, she was very ill . They preformed x-rays and blood work. After four and a half hours she was unable to sit in the waiting area chairs. We requested that she be allowed to lay down in a bed to wait. The emergency room personell said " she can lay down in her car and wait ( If someone would wait in the waiting room)The E.R. personell seemed uninterested in her comfort and said " we don't allow people to lay down" We made the decision to take her back home. The E.R. never followed up in reference to the testing. If your in great discomfort avoid this hospital!!!!

I give zero stars. Dr. Jackson in the emergency room is not capable of basic emergency room skills. Even told the patient, "I'm not comfortable doing that." Do not go to this emergency room for care. The nursing staff in the ER are very rude and have poor bedside manner. Not the place to go if you need care.

My son can't walk due to paralysis of left leg but they say he is fine and discharging him. Never got results of heart scan and never had sleep study done and the neurologist was very rude making it seem like he was faking about his leg. Overall this is the worst hospital basically if you have no insurance you deal with your problems on your own or die!!!

Rude nurses at the birthing part of hospital. I can't stand unprofessional nurses yet the nurses sat there gossiping and laughing but quick to treat our families hateful. Hate this place. UMC is way better they train their staff and faculty to be courteous and professional towards patients and their families.

I am a 67 year old 100 percent disabled veteran. Recently I picked my wife up from work in the morning at Covenant at the front entrance. I was verbally harassed by a valet parking staff member, because , as he said: " it was the wrong place". He was abusive, hostile, and rude. If this is your first encounter at Covenant, do you want your family or friends to be a patient there? I don't think so.

Overall I had a great experience. I was involved in a motorcycle accident which broke my leg in two places and required surgery. Dr. Gaines performed the surgery, 8 screws and a plate, and it went without a hitch. I had to do some lengthy physical therapy, which the therapists were fantastic, and after following the doctors instructions to a T the bone healed beautifully and fairly quickly with minimal scarring. Dr. Gaines did a great job and I was treated well by the hospital staff in general. Had a couple long wait times but that's to be expected at a hospital.

If you experience a broken bone and require a trauma surgeon, get Dr. Gaines as he is the best in the region and his staff are great at what they do, just make sure to schedule early appointments so you'll get in sooner rather than later.

Billing is AWFUL. We brought our daughter here back in March. Paid our copay at the appointment for a normal visit. Never heard anything from Covenant about it again until we received a notice in the mail today from a collection agency saying we owed an additional amount from the visit plus interest. We never received any kind of communication from Covenant prior to this. No statement in the mail, no phone call, nothing. They just sent it off to a collection agency and now it has probably hit our credit report. This is the second time this has happened with them. We will never use a Covenant facility again, and we are switching all of our doctors over to UMC ones. Should have learned our lesson the first time.

Patient care is everything. The lat. Of patient care of covenants ER Is quite disgusting. Bedside manner the worst I've ever seen. I suffer from severe COPD As well as other major elements. When you're being told by a ER Nurse Wait time is approximately anywhere from 6 to 12 hours. I do with the stand critical patients come 1st but how do you distinguish critical would you have someone who cannot Breath. I have escalated this too Tammy Jones ER director.

The second night after back surgery the bed collapses and I landed with my back on the metal frame. Second day required three calls by maintenance to unclog toilet and sink. They gave me a dose of laxative that required 14 trips to the toilet. The only thing that got nasty was me but my wife cleaned me up 8 of those times I cleaned myself 3 times and covenant employees 3 times. This is the 2nd day after back surgery. Oh, back to the bed, the replacement bed would not raise my feet.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I was in the emergency with my friend for 4 hours with an expected wait of 4.5 hours. The nurses on duty have no idea when you'll be seen and just say they take severe conditions before all others even though my friend couldn't breathe properly and had fainted and had two seizures. So if you plan on coming here make sure you clear your schedule for at least 12 hours.

ER is a joke! I only gave 1star cause it was the minimum. I visited the Emergency Room last night 9-18-16. I came in I'd say about 8pm. First thing I noticed was that of course it was full,as any emergency room would be. As I checked in, they asked what's going on, my name, DOB, and told me to have a seat and they will call me as soon as possible. I said ok and took a seat. As i looked around I noticed roughly about 4 people were sicker than me. Now that was my opinion. The other give or take 15-20 were able to talk, smile, interact with their cell phone or even watch the news. Then of course your sign says that "The sickest will be seen first." As people that were ALREADY THERE were called back, more were coming in. Now what upset me the most was that people who came in after me were being called and even some were being discharged before I could get a room. I was furious. I kept asking the nurse up front when was it my turn. I looked sicker than the people sitting in that room. Again my opinion. He just said they will get to me as soon as they can. Finally after like midnight and only about 4 people in the ER waiting room I get called back. Now my question is, is that a false sign or is it being I had no insurance? I don't understand. I understand there is a wait in any emergency room but I don't understand is why people, who in my opinion, didn't look any sicker than I was, get seen before me. I love Covenant and I would chose it anytime over UMC because Yall have the best Drs and nurses but last night was the most terrible experience I have ever had with Covenant.

I had a preventative procedure that is 100% covered by my insurance. Still before they would schedule I had to pay the negotiated price between hospital and insurance. I did my part and paid up front. This has been 45 days ago and and the insurance company has paid the hospital exactly what I paid the hospital to the penny because that is what hospital said to pay . Now the Covenant is asking more money from insurance so until they do their review which they said could take 45 business days ( yes 2 1/2 months!) they get to keep my money until they are finished. After a another call today I am again told to wait. Who thinks it s ok to get an interest free loan from your customer. NOT ME!!!! It s my hard earned money and these banks I mean hospitals want more! Only way I go back is if it s in an ambulance and I m unconscious and can t say other wise.

The care I received by the nurse practitioners was amazing. The best care I have ever received by far. The phone operator for the emergency ward is awful. I had questions and concerns and just wanted clarification on how to get a reference for a neurologist and she was very rude and had such a bad attitude on helping me out. The purpose for a phone operator is customer service and discussing any questions or concerns that I may have. Hope customer service will improve.

My SO woke up went to wash her face and noticed it was swelled up blotchy, rash all over her body, scalp was on fire, throat swollen up, left leg below her shin had a goose egg and hurt, i told her to go get some benadryl since clearly sounded like an allergic reaction. She went to go to cvs and got dizzie had to sit down her heart started racing called emt they picked her up her heart rate was above 300. She gets to the hospital they take her in they say she had anxiety. Ha, so before they do anything they wanted a pregnancy test saying that can cause anxiety attacks. She woke up like this, no stress. She tells the nurse she cant swollow numerous times and says they have to wait on the test to give her a steroid. Asked the nurse to look at her leg she says i see it, then asked her to feel it it doesnt feel right, the nurse say no im fine. So knowing she cant swollow they give here three horse pills that were pretty much tranquilizers. And she asks the nurse how is she going to swollow the pills the girl hands her a little dippy cup and says with this. So she asked if she could atleast have more water and the nurse rolled her eyes at her. Aboit 40 mins after the pills kick in and a lady across from her passes away. So shes all zonked out of her mind and people in hazmat suits come in to clean up. The nurse comes with her release papers, and the lady that died her doctor was right there and asked the nurse what she was doing. The nurse tells him that they gave her, medication has her release oapers and is stable to go home, he was like what are you thinking, look at her face and arms. Tells her to move her to another room to get away from what was going on. She gets in the other room. And frustrated with what just happened while being really looped out and still cant swollow asks the nurse one more time anout fixing it. The nurse says her doctor will be in with her pregnancy test result and depending on that she could get a steroid for it. After that the nurse goes out in the hall and starts flirting with a sherrif that was there for an inmate that got hurt instead of figuring out about the pregnancy test. About an hour passes she had no recolection of time being drugged up and the nurse gets her to wake up enough to put her in a wheel chair roll her out to the lobby and hands her her release papers. She never seen the doctor never got her results on the test and still couldnt swollow. She just falls asleep. Well i was on my way from work which was 4 hours away which i took off to her when she texted what happened and she hadnt got the pills yet. But i get there find her passed out didnt even know where she was anymore. I got her home and she was nauseous all day couldnt walk from the pills and her leg still hurting. Dizzie like before and swears she was hallucinating at times like the wall moving and stuff on the window sill If you ask me this is a prime example of mal practice, they did not properly diagnose her did nothing of what she asked and released her with out making sure she was right. I dont recommend this joke of a hospital to a dying cat. this treatment needs fixed. If a lady died in their care it doesnt surprize me for how they treated her

Brought my friend into emergency. Very busy, lots of sick people waiting. We had to wait for awhile but not long considering how many were there. When they got him in everyone was totally professional. We are impressed so far. My friend very sick with cancer. They are doing what they can. He let it go on too long before seeking help though. May be to late to save him but that is not fault of this fine hospital.
