Well. Cappuccino from Brazil. I do not cash a pure espresso. The cappuccino is 40% coffee and 60% milk. I cash it. No more than red sugar because its denature the taste of coffee. No honey cinnamon etc. Place to the pure taste of coffee. You can find notes of cherries, lemon, apple etc. while tasting the aroma. Overpowered coffee! Which of course gave me a sleepless night ... It looks like it's like wine because notes of vanilla and fruit are particular to the wine. Have a good chat with the waiter who knows a minimum about the subject and can place the other coffee served in a restaurant or Starb *** s are not so personalized.

NB: yes the cream on the coffee is well shaped B * TE as Charlie would say;)

The best coffee I've had in Paris! And cold brew on tap! The beans are sourced ethically and farmers paid a proper price for their beans. It's a popular place though, so don't be surprised if you have to wait for a seat.

I Loved the place amazing architecture, and amazing stuff.

And alot of english speaking people.

A little bit expensive and the coffee wasn't that good (I asked for a cappuccino and i got milk with just a little bit of milk).

But the scrambled eggs and the pancakes are amazing!

Will i comeback? Probably not but i may.

Nice home, friendly space where feels good immediately; Chai Latte a little small but nice; My partner's long coffee was top: full of flavor, texture a little thicker than usual .. Yum! A thousand places of elongated breweries. I did not taste their cakes but the lemon one looked good and generous. I will go back there.

I ate a cafe alonze and a cookie together!
It was so good that it went well together! The atmosphere is good and the male barista was so friendly! The female staff who made the calculation was also very friendly and satisfied! I ate cookies and coffee for 6 euros, and it is said that lattes are famous.

Honestly, this place is a bit of a joke. The coffee's not bad, but the vibe of the place is basically the worst aspects of Paris all rolled into one. For the record I live here, 6 minutes away by foot actually. The pretension, or arrogance as another reviewer called it, to micromanage the behavior of their clientele makes the place not worth the time or effort. Plus it's expensive for what it is. Really geared to people who are trying to feel cool, which of course isn't.

Coutume have multiple cafes in Paris & are a well known coffee roaster now supplying beans to countless Parisian cafes who have fast become a major player in the Paris coffee scene & industry so you know that the coffee is going to be good. It is also owned by a French & Australian Duo & the coffee game is good down under, to the point the rest of the World can learn from it which has proven a succesful formula on the coffee scene in Paris also. HIGHLY recommend Coutume.

15 pancake menu absolutely disgusting. Bar sitting area uncomfortable. One of the waitresses was very rude to a person in our party of four, scolded and then proceeded to treat her in a terrible and rude way. When approached by my friend to be let known of this behaviour the waitress proceeded to say that she knew better what she was doing and said she didn t need the feedback. Absolutely disgusting attitude.

"Formula" brunch very good but a little disappointed with the lack of choice and its composition: it is only a juice (orange or grapefruit) + a hot drink + a dish (2 dishes to choose, meat or fish nothing for vegetarians). Nice place and nice team but there are better places to brunch in Paris. On the other hand, wide choice of coffees!

Changed from five stars to two.

Changed from five stars to two.

I have always loved this place. Because there were always pleasant staff and great coffee. But today I visited after a long time, It was so disappointing.

There were two male employees around 3 p.m. The person who looked like a barista was very nice. However, the other had a strong smell of sweat (We really suffered!) And was not even lovable. When we ordered I saw a lot of moisture on my table and asked her to clean it. Right away with a big boring gaze he brought a bunch of napkins and then he just shook a few times on my table and left. The humidity was still there.

It's not the customer's job to wipe up water spilled by someone else !!!!!

Bad experience. Arrival at 5am. Served at 5:40 with the note. We are made to understand that we must leave 10min later. Other than that the coffee is very good. Victim of his success, I think. It's time to hire a second Barrista.

Being of Italian origin, I am a big fan of good espressi
The chief barista served me an excellent coffee and explained its specificities despite the constant flow of orders. Latte art is mastered, I think he is Italian too!
It's nice!

I have mixed feelings about this place. The quality of coffee is better than 99% of the places in Paris, it is presented in a professional way, and the baristas have an air of pretension to them that make you feel that they know what they are doing. Nevertheless, I found the coffee to be just "decent" (at best) after several visits. Mostly having taken espresso and cortado, each time they were not hot and just warm, even though I watched them make it in front of me. The coffee is also too mild for my taste. Having bought a couple of kilos of different beans, I was equally unimpressed at home. On top of all that, you combine this with your typical outrageous paris prices.

Verdict: Even though I would like to support this place, I still buy freshly roasted beans in the US whenever I go back. I doubt this place would survive anywhere outside of France.

Amazing coffee in a cozy setting. Came here after wrapping up a long stroll in Saint-Germain. Well crafted espresso drinks using stellar quality beans. Expect to wait during peak hours. Definitely recommend.

The interior of the cafe is interesting due to its laboratory motif. However, it is fashionable. The pancakes were delicious. But maybe the chocolate sauce was a little messy.
I really like the atmosphere inside the store.

The milieu was unique, the staffers were nice, the interior decor was modern but the food was decidedly disappointing! We went there around 10:30am and to our surprise, half of the items in the menu was unavailable and the server insisted that the time at which food was served was specified in the French menu (not in English menu). Okay, fine, but at least do your best on those items you served, which was no more than eight items. The toast tasted overly-greasy and burned with butter. The coffee was just barely alright but the price was definitely NOT. Two-person brunch costing more 35 was ridiculous!

As an American living in Paris this place was lovely! We ordered the Kefta brunch: two fried eggs, roasted baby potatoes seasoned with tumeric, salad greens dressed in an Asian-y dressing, and little beef patties with a hint of merguez flavor, and OJ. I had a flat white that hit the spot. And my companion ordered a flight of coffee: an espresso, a cappuccino and regular americano type coffee. They even had a high chair for the baby! The beef patties could have been more tender and the coffee was not perfect. But overall I really enjoyed it - the staff was really kind and accommodating.

The cafe has all the tools and aesthetic of a third wave shop, but roasts their coffee far too dark. If you re looking for a step up from Starbucks, but don t want a true third wave roast then this is you re place. Also, even for Paris the prices are on the high side.

Coutume Cafe, located on a bustling street in Pari...

Coutume Cafe, located on a bustling street in Paris' 7th Arrondissement, is a hip, thoughtfully designed shop with all the best ingredients to make it a delightful coffee experience (listed here in no particular order):

+ a clean, white tile counter top bar that is easily visible on your right just after you walk into the shop;

+ open doors to circulate fresh air and let the delicious coffee smell waft out into the street;

+ tall windows and ceiling that splash daylight throughout the cafe;

+ coffee and all the coffee swag neatly displayed for sale throughout the cafe;

+ ample space, including quaint two-tops, a bar, long communal tables, and a quiet nook tucked away in the back;

+ an in-house roaster and cold-brew drip station set up, which invites both the casual customer and the coffee connoisseur to join Coutume s maker experience;

+ super friendly and knowledgeable baristas who are willing to spend time chatting about the beans, their favorite drinks, and anything else you want to talk about;

+ and of course, most importantly, the product we all go to coffee shops to find: flavorful, thoughtfully crafted coffee

I loved the Coutume vibe (and coffee!) so much that I visited the shop four times during my week in Paris. Using a V60 pour over, they brewed a Typica varietal from Laos specifically from the village of Phou Oy in the Bolaven Plateau with strong notes of citrus and green tea. I have to admit, I didn t love the aftertaste of the first few sips, but as the coffee cooled the bitterness of the green tea softened and mixed nicely with the sweetness of the citrus. On my last day in Paris I bought a bag of freshly roasted Burundi beans that I m excited to grind up and taste!
