My incredible experience at Cottey was a great way to start out on my own in a nurturing environment with emphasis on academics and developing relationships. These are some of my most cherished memories. I still have ongoing friendships decades later and still financially support the school.

Fabulous college, but I'm biased as an alumni and the mom of an alum!

Full disclosure: I work here. This is a private, 4 year women's college. We are small, and have very low student to teacher ratio. Faculty tend to know every student in their classes and care deeply about it students' success. The faculty, staff, and students are a pleasure to work with.

What a school! Great faculty. Great students. Great experiences. I was more than prepared to transfer to Mizzou. I loved my class' trip to Spain. I still keep in touch with the women I met here.

Seems like they are creating incredible futures there!

I was a student at Cottey from 1996-1998. Those were two of the most formative years of my life, and I wouldn't change my decision to go for anything.
Though it is now a 4 year institution rather than 2, the fact that the academics are second to none doesn't change. Friendships I created there 20 years ago are still strong bonds I cherish.

This school does an excellent job of encouraging girls to become independent responsible women.

If you take Drama, be prepared to become familiar with a hammer and paintbrush. Who do you think will be building the sets? Women do it all.

Want to visit Europe? Every year the college takes second-year students on a trip overseas.

After I attended a small elementary school (98 students in eight grades) and high school (400 students), Cottey prepared me for attending a college with an enrollment of 25,000. I had developed the skills to lead and not be intimidated by being the only woman in a class.

Cottey is indeed an amazing college. I graduated with a bachelor s degree in International Business. Looking back at my college years they really prepared me to face the real world by providing me with internships, career fair, business trips and study abroad. I definitely miss Cottey so much . It was an amazing 4 years, I am grateful for this school!
