Corsica Studios Review

Went here for a gig a couple of weeks back. I've been to a lot of gig venues across London and this one was certainly unique. I loved the feel of the venue as a whole, but there were little things that made me question it.
I went to what could have been considered an alternative show, which meant that everyone there wanted to created mosh pits and dance. It was a sold out show and with everyone in the room - it was just incredibly dangerous! I've been to plenty of shows where mosh pits are a given, but with the amount of room in there and the overcapacity it's simply a danger to everyone. It would benefit from lowering the capacity of the venue as it simple cannot hold that many people when dealing with a sold out show. It's insane.
The toilets were a bit run down, could do with an update. The bar staff were nice and friendly!

Great little venue with a huge sound system and a great vibe.

Great music. But always too many people. Small venue, great venue but they really need to start lowering the amount of tickets they put on sale as it kills the mood.

A good space for a show, a decent selectio of craft beers and good sound.

London's best sound and London's best crowd. One of the very few venues that hasn't lost it's edge. Leave your ego at the door and enjoy yourself.

Great music almost all of the time. Reasonable prices. Vibes and chives.

Great underground dance nights here. Bar is expensive as you'd expect but the sound system is ridiculously big. Air conditioned too.

Cool little hole in the wall, cheapish drinks, great music, easygoing people.

So the Techno music was great and the security was doing their job by making sure everyone was safe including welfare checks? I'd rather someone check on me than be left unconscious or dead. Who even goes to a club to sleep?! Well done to security. Great club. Good vibes. Drink prices a little steep though. Love the guy with the gold tooth, is he a part time Pirate? (I kid) the tall blonde security lass, she was very bubbly and made sure I got my food back when I left (no food or drink allowed inside).
Would definitely come back again!

I will go again for sure but, they decide the price for each person, its like not very cool but is a nice place....

It's okay for a small venue and has a good atmosphere but the drinks prices were extremely overpriced! The cloakroom wasn't even open so had to carry my jacket all night which isn't ideal and the toilets are terrible.

Brilliant club. Friendly staff, great crowd and an awesome sound system.

Unpretentious, great sound system and really good diverse electronic music. One of the best music venues remaining in London.

Small but still has the south London flavour, which according to your type can be an excellent thing or a nightmare. You are warned.

Great little venue, staff was amazing after my niece felt unwell and nearly passed out!! CDR event was great too.

Hands DOWN my favourite club in the LDN. Great variety of club nights and gigs, ample opening hours AND one of the very few clubs in London to really push the volume their soundsystem- maaaan oh MAN, the bass on that Funktion 1 is sinfully delicious.

Best small venue in London. Excellent sound system in both rooms, nice smoking area. The bar gets a little crowded at times but sometimes they set a bar in the smoking area which is usually quick.

Independent and vibrant venue. Eclectic nights and a great sound system.

Great techno, intimate atmosphere. Sometimes bouncers are strict and will check your wallets, another time they only checked bags. Occasionally the crowd is a bit 'tired' on Friday nights but so far on Saturdays the crowd at CS is the best I've ever experienced in London. The sound system is crazy (ear plugs recommended). Gets quite hot inside, dress light.

On point venue with great music policy HOWEVER Way Way too crowded, no room to dance , breath , sit , no air in there at all - be prepared to catch the flu!!! - basically they either need to move to a venue that's twice the size or sell half as many tickets.

Nice little club in a railway arch. Dark, dingy and puts on similar tunes. Security is pretty strick and insists on ID (you'll have Hassel if you forget it at home).

Back to basics venue . Great atmosphere created . Slightly high bar prices

During a visit in London we stumbled (not literally) into this club and it turned out to be a great alternative underground club. The DJ was really good though his 1 1/2 hour long experimental intro was a little alienating at first. Nice sound system with a heavy bass. Prices of drinks did not appear overly expensive to us.

5 quid for a 330ml van of estrella of all beers... Nah mate

Too loud. NEED EAR PLUGS. With nowhere to escape the sound. Otherwise very cool London venue

Definitely the best small club in London. Line-ups are better than clubs 10x bigger, but can get a bit busy

A little local gem, tucked in the arches under E&C station, easy to get into and with good dj's. A welcome change from certain superclubs just round the corner.

Great club with great djs. Gets way too busy but you just have to plant your feet and stand your ground and eventually the weaklings will leave and leave the true dance professionals to the dance floor

I went to a Pretty Pretty Good night and it was incredible. It was the best clubbing experience I've had in this country and reminded me very much of a top quality techno event in Berlin or Amsterdam. The sound system is so crisp and the atmosphere is very laid back with a friendly crowd. It's a small venue and the dance floor did get packed. If you like techno I would highly recommend it.

Expect filthy toilets, rude security guards and long queues at (the ONLY) bar!

A good live music venue with a great, clear, loud soundsystem. High stage makes it easy to see the band too. Decent selection of bottled beers at the bar.

Great night out. (I love acid). Everyone really sociable, plenty of different spaces to keep a wanderer on task. Staff also seemed genuinely friendly which is always nice.

Late night/early morning dance venue. Continuing the good work of now shut down Cable nightclub.

Great location, funny party-goers, no stress when entering!

Great vibe, not too expensive and the soundsystem is amazing

Massively cool place with hard techno afters. Amazing!

Small but good. However the smoking area seems to be the aeration of a Chicken Cottage. Burp++

Underground, dark, loud. One of the best in London.

It s ok, often packed. It s a great space when the Columbian is open. Room 2 is cool too. But you can t even move in Room 1

The bar staff and security are friendly and happy to help if you have any problems. Music is great and smoking area great size. Best club in London

Good sound system, generally a decent crowd. Note that you'll need photo ID at the door regardless of age. They also don't let you take pens in... lest you scribble on the walls.

The best nights out I've had in London. Visited multiple times and will always return. Long live corsica studios!

Aggressive bouncerd that denied entry for no reason despite having a ticket in advance. Don't waste your time or money.

Quality & diverse bookings in an intimate "underground" venue with big sound--wear earplugs (available at the bar). Friendly staff, great crowd, affordable(ish) drinks.
