Such a great little venue, every seat there has a great view! It was nice to have a small table for our drinks/belongings. The Snack Bar has great snacks for purchase, also beverages and alcohol. My 1.5 year old niece loved the show and the fountain and grassy area outside is great for intermission. All the staff is very helpful and kind, we will be back!

Loved the performance of Matilda, I highly recommend the play to all ages.

The venue was not what I expected. It's essentially a room, attached to the Coronado community center, which fits about 24 small round tables, with barely elbow room with the table next to you if all 4 people are at your table. The seats were padded, and comfortable, but because the seating was all at one level, it was hard to see over people's heads.

Already having paid for tickets, they have the child performers stand at the door with buckets extended, asking for donations, which is uncomfortable. This was in addition to the slices of cake they sold for $5 each and their refreshment stand.

I understand that they're a small company, and I applaud them for their efforts, but if you're getting tickets, make sure it's at the front of the room.

Saw Cabaret which was different than the movie or the Broadway play but I felt gave an excellent depiction of the current resurgence of racism, bigotry and general intolerance towards people of different gender persuasion or socio-economic background than our own. It did so with a snappy soundtrack and some genuinely lighthearted moments but the message was not lost on me. The cast was fabulous!

Never visited as a patron-- my business was either as an actor or a director. However, I've observed their treatment of their guests, which is always top notch, with deference. Their productions are much of the same, high quality that one could hope for from an intimate venue.

Fun local playhouse. Tickets are cheap and the productions are cute and local. Most of the attendees are from nearby. Condiment/food selection is limited and a bit random. Seating is dinner table style. Have fun, don't expect Broadway, and you'll have a fun night.

Intimate venue. All good views of the stage. The concession stand is reasonable and some of the seats where at small tables, which was really nice. We also like the adaptation of the play we saw.

It's a community playhouse that can afford to hire some decent acting talent, but it's still basically a community playhouse. It's a small intimate venue with tables. They have basic snacks, beer and wine. We saw Cabaret and it was pretty darn good.

Pleasant theater. Great show, we just watched "sugar". Loved that the orchestra was part of the backdrop. Can't decide if I liked the seating though. One hand, sitting around a small table makes you feel more apart of the theater. Yet I couldn't always see all the action on stage from my seat.

The Playhouse is a comfortable place for viewing events. However, the seats could be more cushioned for two-hour viewing. Also, the aucoustics seemed lacking for the low-speaking ADAMS FAMILY yesterday. At times, I would have liked the music to be louder, although perhaps it was purposely low? The Playhouse itself is a beautiful building inside with its attractive walls adorned in a classic fashion. I like taking time to admire the surroundings each time I enter and leave the Playhouse.

Very intimate table seating with good view of the play throughout. Acoustics could have been better if the players wore mics or if a sound system was provided on stage. However, the ticket prices are very good and most plays are well done and interesting for an amateur production.

We've seen several shows at this venue. Intimate, casual, fun! The shows have been great! They do a free Shakespeare once a year, with donations if possible. This year's Shakespeare pick is Much Ado About Nothing, and it was phenomenal.

I love this theatre. There are no bad seats since it's a small theatre. The staff is very friendly, the actors are very talented and the producer is amazing. It's a joy from beginning to end. I look forward to many more visits.

It's a very Cabaret Boutique Style of a theater. They have tables that seat 4 (really 3 is comfortable) it is a very small space that when at full capacity it seats about 75 to 100 at max.
The stage is half the size of industry set standards, however, it makes it feel very quaint and cozy.
There's really not a bad seat in the house, but, if you have physical or physiological issues, DO NOT SIT in the middle; very difficult to navigate between your seating and you will bump into every patron if you need to dart to the restroom or hit the bar; your best bet is seating at either sides of the house.
As for the productions...it all depends on who is the producer and director.
Just because a show is know in popularity, doesn't mean the cast, lighting, set design will be top notch.
But, hey, theater is dynamic and each show is always a unique experience.

I've never been to a better playhouse in my life including more formal shows like the nutcracker. The staff is all volunteers and ran by an elite group of performance superstars. If you haven't been then get there for their next show!

I've both attended as well as appeared in performed at the Coronado Playhouse. This theater offers a quaint, charming, and inviting atmosphere. The cabaret seating is a bit unusual, but still allows you a very good view of the stage. You won't be disappointed.
